Chapter 4608: Ye Chen looked for Shui Yixian and Shen Niang

Shui Yixian ventured inside, searching for Shen Niang.

She detected traces of Shen Niang’s presence and aura in the area.

Having located Shen Niang, she wasted no time and immediately moved to confront her.

As she ventured deeper, she found Shen Niang.

She discovered Shen Niang in the middle of performing a specific task.

"What is she doing? She’s breaking a seal—but what kind of seal is it?" Curious, Shui Yixian tried to move closer to investigate.

Shen Niang sensed someone approaching; she could clearly tell it was Shui Yixian.

As Shui Yixian drew near, Shen Niang instantly unleashed a powerful force to incapacitate her.

"Ahhhh..." Shui Yixian had no time to react and took a heavy blow.

The impact injured her.

"What’s happening?" Shui Yixian was bewildered; she couldn’t understand why Shen Niang had attacked her.

"This is bad... I’m losing consciousness. What kind of power is this?" Shui Yixian felt an overwhelming drowsiness and eventually blacked out.

"What a nuisance." The evil version of Shen Niang was annoyed at the interruption; now she had to deal with Shui Yixian.

"She possesses great power—perfect for a sacrifice." The evil Shen Niang decided that Shui Yixian would make an ideal offering.

Shen Niang took hold of Shui Yixian’s body and immediately threw her into a prison cell.

Completely caught off guard, Shui Yixian suddenly found herself a prisoner of Shen Niang.

"But how did she find me?" Shen Niang wondered, how Shui Yixian had tracked her down.

She had used her abilities to conceal herself perfectly; it should have been impossible for anyone to locate her.

"Oh, right—she has the ability to locate her partner. How could I have forgotten that? I need to use my own powers to seal it away.".

Shen Niang had a way to prevent Ye Chen from finding her, and she was determined to use it.

The malicious Shen Niang began to employ that ability on herself and Shui Yixian.

This ensured that neither of them could be detected by Ye Chen.

Shen Niang continued her task, breaking another seal; only a little remained, and the entire process would soon be complete.

Ye Chen had finished his meal and was walking through the city; there were many things he wanted to do with Chu Yuechan.

The two of them looked for interesting things to do nearby and enjoyed themselves.

Then, a bird flew toward Ye Chen’s location.

It was a bird radiating immense light; it felt as though the bird belonged to Shui Yixian.

"That belongs to Yixian, doesn’t it?" Ye Chen said to Chu Yuechan.

"That is absolutely correct," Chu Yuechan agreed with Ye Chen.

The light energy was incredibly pure and warm—it belonged to Shui Yixian, who possessed the most powerful light abilities.

Ye Chen caught the bird, and as he did, a message appeared before him.

"I’ve discovered something strange related to the Demons; come meet me..." Shui Yixian’s warning message reached Ye Chen.

"Demons?" Both Ye Chen and Chu Yuechan were startled.

"Demons... I wonder if any are left," Ye Chen said.

"There are definitely some left," Chu Yuechan replied.

"In that case, let’s go see," Ye Chen said to Chu Yuechan.

He set out to meet Shui Yixian to see what was happening; he was curious about the situation.

Ye Chen headed toward Shui Yixian’s location.

He searched using his own powers.

While searching for Shui Yixian, Ye Chen sensed a very faint presence.

This made it nearly impossible for Ye Chen to locate Shui Yixian.

"It’s very strange; the presence of Shui Yixian and Shen Niang has become incredibly faint—it’s as if I’m being blocked," Ye Chen said to Chu Yuechan.

Unlike before, Ye Chen was struggling to locate Shui Yixian and Shen Niang.

"Go to the previous location," Chu Yuechan suggested.

"Understood." Ye Chen understood; he headed toward the last known location of Shen Niang.

That was likely the last place Shui Yixian had visited.

Ye Chen intended to use that fact to track down Shui Yixian.

Ye Chen went there with Chu Yuechan; upon arrival, there were no traces of demons or anything else—Ye Chen sensed absolutely nothing amiss.

"There’s nothing strange around here," Ye Chen said to Chu Yuechan.

He told Chu Yuechan that nothing seemed wrong; everything appeared to be fine.

"That is indeed true..." Chu Yuechan agreed with Ye Chen.

Neither Chu Yuechan nor Ye Chen found anything unusual; everything seemed fine and safe.

"There are no signs of a battle or traces of demons here," Chu Yuechan said to Ye Chen.

"I don’t find anything strange here either," Ye Chen replied.

Ye Chen detected nothing unusual in the vicinity.

He activated his God Eyes, attempting to discern what might be wrong.

Using his God Eyes, Ye Chen spotted something that Chu Yuechan could not see.

"Wait, I see something strange," Ye Chen said to Chu Yuechan.

Ye Chen told Chu Yuechan that he had discovered something strange in the vicinity.

"What did you find?" Chu Yuechan asked; she was eager to know what Ye Chen had uncovered.

Ye Chen explained his discovery to her.

Chu Yuechan turned to look at it.

Ye Chen channeled his power and began to dismantle the incredibly potent illusion.

By utilizing dimensional power, the flawless illusion collapsed.

"A flawless illusion—only Niang could create something like that," Ye Chen remarked to Chu Yuechan.

"She is the only one capable of it, but why would she do such a thing?" Chu Yuechan asked.

Her actions left both Ye Chen and Chu Yuechan speculating about her motives.

Why had she altered the surrounding area using her powers? She had practically transformed the entire location into a habitable space.

There was surely something hidden here; Ye Chen felt compelled to investigate, as he could not simply stand by and ignore it.

Ye Chen ventured even deeper; as he proceeded, he detected a trace of incredibly potent dark aura.

"This?" Ye Chen was quite surprised by what he found—it was exactly as Shui Yixian had described.
