Chapter 2884: Heaven Plunderer

“Aren’t you a bold one? But you do deserve to be rewarded after hindering the Annihilation Progenitor from devouring that world’s energy.” The Deity of Chaos and Enigma thought about the reward they should offer to Zu An.

Zu An asked, “What happened to that world afterward?”

The child he had with Jiang Luofu was still in that world...

“It was left to develop naturally. No deity can interfere with it for the time being.”

Zu An breathed a sigh of relief. This was the best ending he could think of.

Some time later, the constellations twinkled, and a book descended from the sky. Zu An respectfully received the book with both hands. On the cover of the book were the words: Primordial Mirage.

Mi Li said, “I had an inspiration and crafted this using that world’s energy. It should be useful to you.”

“Thank you, o great Deity of Chaos and Enigma...” Zu An dropped another load of bootlicking. Even he was feeling goosebumps from his subservience.

“Enough. Decipher that book by yourself. I have more important things to attend to.” Mi Li sounded impatient. They disappeared right after leaving those words behind.

The distorted space-time reverted to normal. Chu Chuyan and Isabella were still secretly whispering to each other in the distance. It felt like nothing had changed at all.

Zu An looked at the ‘Primordial Mirage’ in his hands. As soon as he flipped it open, he heard the Keyboard system’s voice.

New secret manual detected: Primordial Mirage. Do you want to absorb it?

Zu An was astounded. He had obtained the previous secret manuals as rewards for clearing Unknowable Regions, but he had never wondered who was behind those manuals.

He did notice that the Netherworld Book of Life and Death had a profound connection with Death’s path, but he wasn’t absolutely certain about it. However, the Primordial Mirage was most definitely the Deity of Chaos and Enigma’s creation.

Could the other secret manuals be the creations of other universal deities? Which secret manuals were created by which universal deities then?

At the Keyboard system’s repeated prompt, Zu An selected ‘Yes’.

The Primordial Mirage transformed into a ray of light and imprinted itself on the F12 key.

A flood of information gushed into Zu An’s soul. He gained a rough understanding about the effects of Primordial Mirage.

First and foremost, it allowed him to peer into the fate and karmic threads of some entities and items.

Zu An looked at the two ladies and saw many red threads linking them to him. This was the proof of their intertwining karma and fate.

There were also threads of other colors extending into the void that represented other factors tied to their fate. There were even two threads linking them together. Is this thread due to the friendship they forged through the Order Ceremony, or is it because of me?

Soon, his head began to hurt from an overload of information. This ability is taxing on my mind, so I should only activate it when necessary. It might provide me with guidance when I need it.

Secondly, Primordial Mirage allowed him to infiltrate an unguarded target’s consciousness and extract the target’s memories, obsessions, or fears, to craft a temporary mirage to trap them.

Zu An frowned. Doesn’t this make me like Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street? My ability is far stronger than Freddy Krueger’s, though.

Thirdly, Primordial Mirage had the power to blur the distinction between mirage and reality, such as alternating between a corporeal body and an ethereal body.

This will be useful for self-defense. At least I won’t have to fear attacks from enigmatic entities anymore.

The Intelligence System? An idea popped into Zu An’s mind. He took out the Poisonous Prick and soon acquired information about it. “The Deity of Death crafted this dagger using a segment of his finger. It brings death to all living beings.”

Next, he took out the Lord of Slaughter’s fang, and the Intelligence System provided him with information about it. “This item comes from a mysterious entity that wielded the power to unravel all powers. The Deity of Order abhorred this entity and destroyed it, but its fang, which wielded the power to unravel all powers, went missing.”

Zu An was taken aback. What fortuitous encounter did the Lord of Slaughter go through to acquire such a formidable weapon?

This title feels so awkward... But at least it’s not ‘King of Green Crown’. I'd be embarrassed for life if I had to walk around with this title.

The title’s most valuable effect was obscuring divinations and prophecies concerning him. He had been transparent to the universal deities thus far, unable to withhold any secrets from them. He dared not to even think in their presence, lest he offended them.

This ability granted him at least a basic level of privacy, making it easier for him to scheme against them.

On top of that, he felt a tremendous amount of faith power gushing into his body. It appeared to have been the faith of Annihilation worshipers...

Haa, I've made a complete enemy out of the Annihilation Progenitor. This title seems to be encouraging me to go around cuckolding others, but I’m not that kind of person!

It feels like the effects of this title might have mutated due to the Seed of Reproduction though, particularly the third ability. It just makes more people view me with enmity...
