Killed Me? Now I Have Your Power

Chapter 471 – Salvation in Profanity

The kiss was awkward, yet deeply ferocious. Keisha was not kissing like a woman struck by Cupid’s arrow, desiring to savour the touch, the scent, the feeling of being loved.

No. Not at all.

She was kissing like a drowning woman swimming with everything she had to keep her head above water, to stay out of a realm where only self-hatred, rage, and resentment burned everything without distinction.

She held Sky’s face between her shaking hands, pressing her face against his, lips against his, as if he were the hand reaching down to pull her out of the storm.

And Sky responded in kind.

His reasons were entirely different from Keisha’s. To him, this situation — this tension erupting between them, the kind he had always tried to avoid with Katy — was nothing but release.

A release from everything he held inside. A release from everything pressing him down. Because at that moment, in that dark wooden cave, away from every watching eye, Sky could finally stop acting like Sky.

He could finally stop smiling at the members of his Order as if he loved them, despite the anger and frustration raging constantly in his blackened heart.

He could finally stop hiding his hatred for Order Draco — and by extension, the entire Underground Game of Freedom — and everything within it.

There, with Keisha, he was nothing but a man who saw only vengeance. That was who he wanted to be.

No love. No attachment. No heroic deeds.

Only the cold goal of setting in motion what Mariam had left for him as her living face became disfigured by death, and then going back to Darklore and laying waste to his whole family.

Just like that, two broken people used each other to ease their own suffering. It continued like that for a long while before their lips finally parted.

Their eyes held each other’s gaze unflinchingly, their breathing shallow and ragged, lips wet.

At that instant, they both knew. A bond had been formed. One neither of them knew the ending of.

And neither cared.

"How?" Keisha rasped, still caressing Sky’s face as if she would never get enough of his beauty.

Truly, Sky was Sky.

"The options available to us are few." Sky replied, catching the underlying meaning of her question. "But before we discuss our next move in depth, I need to clarify something."

His eyes hardened like stone. "Order Draco is my priority, but not only. I want all of them. Keisha... I want this entire Underground destroyed."

"Oh." Keisha said, something surfacing in her expression. "I always forget, Sky, that you were not born here."

She chuckled hollowly, her lone eye glowing with a strange luster. "You were thrust headfirst into this hell without your consent, without any preparation. So of course. Of course you want to destroy the place that made you what you are."

She pressed her forehead to his again. "The beautiful monster you’ve become."

"Are you with me," Sky said, with no patience for rambling, "or not?"

"I have been with you from the moment you touched my face." She replied. "And I was yours the moment we kissed. Our fate is tied together. So I ask again, how?"

"The Heir of Monsters."

Keisha’s eye went wide immediately. "What?"

"The Heir of Monsters." He repeated, locking his red eyes onto her silver one. "That is the highest card we have."

"She will kill us before we say a single word."

"Not if our intentions are made clear first. And I will be the one doing the talking."

"Because you are beautiful?" Keisha twisted her lips into a sneer. "Don’t you know, Sky, that monsters love monstrous things? Look at me. I would blend perfectly among them. Why you and not me?"

"Because I am human." Sky answered coolly. "And you, member of the Orders, have a personal history with the Heir that I do not. I am less likely to be killed on sight. And there are two more reasons why it should be me and not you."

His hand moved like a blur, and it was already wrapped firmly around Keisha’s throat before she even registered it.

Her eyes dilated. Her heart slammed against her chest.

"First," Sky said, his eyes glowing sharply in the dark cave. "I am stronger than you."

She swallowed, her heart racing. Her throat tightened under his grip, her legs trembling at the sudden, overwhelming presence spilling from him.

"Second, Keisha, I give the orders. Not you."

He released her.

Keisha coughed hard, spit flying, her lone eye shimmering with restrained tears.

Sky watched with cold detachment, waiting patiently for her to regain herself.

She did faster than he expected.

She lifted her head, held his gaze through the coughing, and spoke.

"Is this how you treat someone you just kissed, Sky?" Her voice was strangely quiet, something wrenching underneath it. "This is who you are, huh?"

She scrambled to her feet and moved closer to him anyway, as if even after everything, only his presence gave her any semblance of comfort.

"I needed things to be clear." He said.

"Lesson learned then." She murmured, resting her head on his chest. "You are the boss, the master, the king of kings, you are the sky and the heavens! All of it! Lesson learned. Well learned. But..."

Her voice faded into something barely above a whisper.

"What am I?" She tilted her head just enough to look at his face, grinning. "Your whore? The one who warms your bed?"

"You will—!"

"Let me choose." She cut in. "Let me choose what I want to be to you. And what I want you to be to me."

Sky hesitated, then nodded. "Speak."

Her face stretched into a wide, monstrous smile. "I don’t care who you love or about your history with the famed Katy Moira..."

Sky’s body stiffened at the name.

"...Give me your body. I will give you mine. I want nothing else. Let’s guard our hearts from each other."

"Is that agreeable to you?" She pressed, not waiting for his answer as she slowly began to undress.

"What are you doing?" Sky asked, his voice barely steady.

"Close your eyes and leave if you don’t agree." Keisha said. "Or stay, feast your eyes on me and accept my proposal."

Soon enough she stood bare, looking at Sky with steady eyes, leaning back, legs stretched wide, arms open in inviting hug.

An invitation that promised nothing holy.

"Let me lose myself in you." She whispered. "And lose yourself in me."

"This is a mistake, Keisha. You will regret it." He clenched his fist. "We will both regret it."

"Even better then." She laughed, raw and harsh. "Between being destroyed by regret or by vengeance...which is worse? Which is better? It doesn’t matter. Either way, I am doomed."

She grinned.

"We are doomed. So let’s at least enjoy the only thing the world has ever allowed us."

"The pleasure of the flesh." Sky muttered.

"Aye." She nodded. "Now come, Sky. I am getting cold."

He didn’t answer for a moment, thoughts churning, heart pulling in every direction.

But moments later his clothes slid from his body, and Sky let himself be taken by it.

"Guard your heart, Sky." Keisha moaned as their bodies met. "I am a monster. And I am dragging you down with me."

"I am allowing it." Sky replied.

After all...

’I want to forget too.’
