Chapter 475 – Silent Scream [Bonus Chapter]

It was getting harder to stop herself from storming out of his House and leaving this pathetic man to die alone.

And that, even though he was her own father.

But Diaila couldn’t care less about whether he lived or died, let alone about his unending complaints about her mother.

"Your mother, Diaila, is a whore," Lamiel Law growled, sitting in front of the couch, facing Diaila. His face was tight with fury, his eyes bloodshot. "You know that, don’t you? That whore didn’t hesitate for one second, one Vorn-cursed second, to leave me here to be with another man! A young man of 18! How does that make sense, Diaila? Tell me! How?"

"I don’t know," Diaila replied curtly, leaning back lazily on the couch. She looked at her father with barely masked scorn. "I don’t know what you’re talking about. And for the nth time, you should settle this with mother, not me."

"Is this how you speak to your father?" Lamiel hissed. "What? Has entering the Academy given you the confidence to talk back to your own father now? Do not forget that you are who you are only thanks to me. I clothed you, I fed you, I gave you a damn education so you could enter the Academy! And Vorn take you, even to enter the Academy, you used your body, just like your whore of a mother."

Lamiel twisted his lips in disgust, then spat on the floor, not caring that he was in the living room. Not caring about the maids and servants of the house listening to this dispute.

He didn’t care about anything, his whole being ravaged by humiliation, anger and hatred.

Looking at his own daughter, at her condescending attitude, at how much she looked like her mother, Lamiel wanted nothing more than to smash her head into the ground.

There was murderous intent in his eyes, and that was the kind of thing Diaila could now notice at a glance.

And she smiled.

A wide, bloodthirsty smile. A smile so wrong and frightening that Lamiel was taken aback for a heartbeat.

"Should I thank you for doing your job as a parent now?" Diaila said, standing up from the couch, frightening to behold.

She walked around the glass table and approached her seated father, her madness-filled aura spreading through the living room.

[My Blessed, don’t kill your father.] Her god whispered to her, but Diaila was not listening.

"Do you want me to kneel down and kiss your feet for doing the basic duty of a father?" she continued, standing in front of him. "Tell me, father. Is that what you fucking want?"

"Don’t you dare—!"

"Shut the fuck up," Diaila hissed, her eyes red with bloodlust as her aura lashed out even more wildly. "And how dare you speak as though you had no hand in Mother’s actions? How many times did you cheat on her? How many times did Mother, or even I, your own goddamned daughter, catch you fucking our servants like a dog? Vorn take me, you left nothing untouched! Nothing! You fucked men, you fucked women, you fucked everything like a worthless pig whose only desire is to sink his disgusting dick into any hole he can find!"

Lamiel’s face flushed, veins bulging across his forehead. The servants standing around the house lowered their heads, some of them — or rather, nearly ninety percent of them — having already slept with Lamiel numerous times.

"And you dare to wonder why Mother left you for another man? For an eighteen-year-old young man?" Diaila’s face twisted with profound disgust. "Know that the eighteen-year-old young man you’re looking down on is a better man than you could ever hope to be, you useless piece of shit, despite him being a commoner. And if I didn’t respect him, I would have gladly given myself to him!"

"Just like your mother," Lamiel spat. "A damned Whore. And no whore, I say NO FUCKING WHORE IN MY HOUSE! GET OUT!"

The Patriarch of the Tier Three House Law bellowed, his essence cloaking him in wrath. Diaila took three steps back as the shockwaves slammed into her.

"Get the fuck out of my House before I slaughter you," he ordered. "If you find your whorish mother, tell her she is no longer a Law. And if she doesn’t come back so that I can rip out the Origin Pool linked to her blood, I will find her, and I will kill her." His eyes were filled with murder. "And you,"

He thrust a trembling finger at Diaila. "You are no longer my daughter. You are lucky that I cannot take back our Law Origin Pool from your Blood, as you are a legitimate daughter, but you’d better get out of my sight fast before I lose what little patience I have left for you."

Diaila listened to her father, her jaw clenched tight. Her body was shaking, but not out of anger or sadness. It was only from her intense effort to stop herself from jumping on her own father and committing homicide.

She wanted to rip this cunt of a father apart, pull out his heart and intestines, and let these damned servants eat them raw.

However, she couldn’t.

She was being watched, and before she killed this man, she needed to make sure she would inherit this House.

So Diaila let out a heavy breath, gathered herself, and flashed her father a beautiful but dangerous smile.

"As you wish," she whispered, her eyes glowing. "I will leave this House and leave you to fuck your servants anytime you like. Ah! No wonder this House isn’t progressing."

Diaila turned and walked towards her room, ready to take everything and disappear from this house.

"How can it progress when its leader is a bloody fucking cunt?"

’Just wait. My first attempt at killing you will be the last one.’

Diaila soon disappeared from the living room. She left Lamiel sitting there, his body shaking as he recalled his own daughter’s words.

He didn’t know what kind of strength he had drawn on, but he had managed to stop himself from attacking her and killing her outright.

"All of this because of her," he muttered, thinking of his wife, and his hatred only grew fiercer.

Meanwhile, Diaila reached her room. She stepped inside, closed the door behind her, and shut her eyes to calm her killing instinct.

However, she immediately opened them again, her heart almost leaping out of her mouth, as she noticed someone sitting on her bed.

The figure was shaped like a woman, and she wore a golden mask that made Diaila feel as if she were staring at the Sun itself.

She tried to speak, but realized she couldn’t. Her whole body was frozen, even her voice.

’What... what is this?’ she cried out in alarm, forgetting the dispute with her father in an instant.

[This Mask... is she part of their Group?] Her god said, confused and alert himself.

"Well," Meadow finally spoke, staring at Diaila, frozen thanks to an artifact. She had even sealed the room. "Listen well. I will say this only once, and you have one minute to give me the answer I want to hear, or you die."

Diaila’s eyes were wide with horror, and she felt completely helpless.

The Halfmortal smiled, enjoying the scene.

She was now glad that Isolde had chosen to be the one to go to William, as it was easier for her to bypass the Castria’s Barriers with her Blessing.

Now Meadow had the perfect opportunity to pay Diaila back for all the bullshit she had pulled on them during the whole mission.

So she stood up and walked towards her. Oeil was shaking with excitement, begging to be used.

The Halfmortal agreed. And as she did, the right side of her mask opened just enough to reveal her monstrous, living eye, making poor Diaila’s heart drop.

"It just so happens that our Lord wants you as a Tool," the Halfmortal whispered, standing close to Diaila. "So you have two options here, Diaila Law. Either you accept being a Tool, and get to live another day. Or you refuse, and I will be delighted to give you a look through my eye."

Meadow lifted her hand and pressed it against Diaila’s throat.

Oeil rolled in a circle inside its socket. And as it did, worms began to pour from the eye like streaming tears, black and green, traveling down Meadow’s arm towards Diaila’s half-open mouth.

The young girl wanted to scream in horror. She looked at Meadow with fear, blinking rapidly as if trying to convey something.

The Halfmortal knew what she wanted to say.

However, she still wanted to try out her new abilities.

Thus...

"Welcome my babies inside you, and tell me how they taste."

Diaila Law let out a silent, unheard scream of horror as the worms entered her body.
