In the Elven village, they had a peculiar expression: ‘drops of morning dew’. The World Tree Fairy explained that this phrase referred to those who had left the village.

The Elves, having cultivated their culture in isolation with minimal outside contact, had historically viewed such departures unfavorably. Like morning dew, these individuals were considered to have simply vanished.

However, Shiomala clarified that this perspective belonged to a distant past. For a High Elf like her, ‘a long time ago’ stretched far beyond Human comprehension, suggesting this shift in attitude had occurred centuries earlier.

When Kousuke learned that Collete originated from this village, he instinctively looked toward Kouhi and Mitsuki. Their heads shook in response – neither had known this detail about their companion.

Observing their reaction, Shiomala sighed, seemingly grasping the situation.

“Apparently, none of you three knew about it…” She remarked.

“Ah, yes. To begin with, we’ve hardly ever talked about her past.” Kousuke admitted, realizing that such conversations had never occurred. It was not just with Collete; he rarely discussed anyone’s past, preferring to let others share such information on their own terms.

“I see…” Shiomala’s response prompted Kousuke to look down, sensing the weight of unspoken history. Recognizing the delicate nature of the situation, she made an unexpected suggestion.

“It’s inappropriate to continue the conversation without her being here, so why not ask her properly?”

“…Huh?” Shiomala tilted her head in confusion at his abrupt proposal.

Without elaborating, Kousuke immediately employed <Divine Telepathy> to contact Collete.

[Kousuke? What’s wrong, contacting me all of a sudden?] Her response came instantly.

[Ah, yeah. I’m in the village where you were from… are you busy?]

[Eh? You’re in the village? Ah, I kind of understand the situation. Can you wait a moment? I’ll be done soon.]

[Okay. I understand. I’ll wait.]

The communication ended there. Judging by Collete’s tone, Kousuke suspected she would complete her current task shortly.

He turned to address Shiomala’s bewilderment. “Oh, I’ve just contacted Collete, but I’m waiting for her to finish what she’s doing, so can you wait for a bit?”

“Oh, yeah. That’s fine, but… how did you contact her?” While awaiting Collete’s response, Kousuke explained the concept of <Divine Telepathy> to Shiomala.

The World Tree Fairy and Shiomala listened with fascination to Kousuke’s explanation.

“It’s a wonderful technology, but it’s probably difficult to spread it to the public,” the World Tree Fairy observed.

Kousuke nodded in agreement. “The fact that it requires the use of Divine Power is a real problem.”

As he began elaborating on <Divine Telepathy> and its connection to Divine Power, he received Collete’s response.

[Collete are you done?]

[Yes, that’s right. So you’re in Sewri Village right now, right?]

[Yeah. Well, to be precise, I’m beneath the World Tree.]

Collete seemed to immediately grasp the implications.

[Beneath the World Tree… Ah, no need to explain. Because I somehow already understand the situation.]

Kousuke could imagine her holding her hand to her forehead as she spoke.

[I guess you were probably called by the Sacred Tree and went straight there, right?]

[Oh, yeah, yes. That’s right.]

Having perfectly predicted his actions, Kousuke could only acknowledge her accuracy.

[Anyway… Since it’s a rare opportunity, why don’t I go and show my face there for once? Can you summon me?]

Her frank suggestion caught Kousuke off guard. [Is it okay?]

[It’s fine. It’s a thing of the past, and I have a proper life with you now, don’t I?]

[If that’s the case, I’ll check if it’s okay to summon you.]

Though Kousuke possessed the necessary power to summon Collete, he needed permission from the World Tree Fairy due to the barrier surrounding the area.

After concluding his conversation with Collete, Kousuke addressed the World Tree Fairy. “I’m going to summon Collete here, is it okay to use summoning magic here?”

“Eh? Summoning? Here?” Shiomala interjected, surprised.

The World Tree Fairy considered briefly before nodding. “Yes. There’s no problem.”

“Eh? Really?”

Ignoring Shiomala’s continued confusion, Kousuke began preparing the summoning.

The process involved drawing a magic circle using tree branches – a simple task for someone who could freely enter and exit even the Sanctuary. Summoning and Return had become one of Kousuke’s greatest skills, contributing to his status as a Living God.

The preparation took mere moments. Though Shiomala nearly fainted at the sight, she regained her composure after Mitsuki whispered something to her.

The actual summoning lasted less than a minute: the magic circle flashed briefly before vanishing, leaving Collete in its place with no trace of the original circle.

The moment the summoning light faded, Collete rushed to Kousuke, throwing her arms around his neck.

“Kousuke!”

He stumbled slightly but managed to steady them both. “…Woah.”

The World Tree Fairy and Shiomala watched in surprise, though Kousuke could not understand their reaction. Collete, however, seemed unfazed. She released Kousuke and bowed to the two observers.

“…It’s been a while. Also, this is the first time I’ve seen you, Sacred Tree.”

“Collete…?” Shiomala asked, her hand covering her mouth in astonishment.

“Yes, that’s right. Well, I’m sure you have many questions, but for now, can’t we calm down and settle down?” Collete suggested with a wry smile.

And so, with Collete now among them, the group once again gathered at the chairs and desks beneath the World Tree.
