Lewd System: Every Scream and Moan is EXP

Chapter 275 : Don’t Test It Twice

Chapter 275: Chapter 275 : Don’t Test It Twice

Right now, granny Lyra had transformed into something so terrifying that even the system would be deceived into mistaking her for an orc and would hand over the rewards in surrender and pity.

But that wasn’t possible as the two of them occupied different worlds at the moment. Jax was also on his way to play with some poor boys just like her. Except these poor boys happened to have thrones beneath their asses.

Jax walked toward the center of the garden with his hands tucked inside his pants. Roxana followed from behind, even though every cell in her body was screaming at her to turn around and run.

She had just survived a heart attack from his recent words and her own earlier comment about turning the manor into a graveyard and now she was being marched straight into whatever disaster he was about to create next.

She looked at him. He carried no weapon. No sword. Nothing on his body that could be used to do something terrible. But she knew from his walk, from those mischievous eyes, from that playful body that carried zero murderous aura, that something didn’t fit. Because Jax without killing intent was somehow more dangerous than Jax with it.

And so in her misery, she had no choice but to follow. Cursing every life decision that had led her to becoming a professor at this academy.

She thought. ’You moron, Roxana. Why the hell didn’t you go dirty and grab the throne for yourself? That way you would have had the power to crush this bastard.’

And as she was mentally rewriting her entire career path, Jax spoke to the people in the garden who hadn’t noticed his presence yet.

"Good evening, everyone. What a lovely gathering we have here."

Every gaze in the garden fell on him.

He continued with a smile that carried more venom than a snake pit. "I’m sorry to barge in on all of you knowingly. But trust me, I had no intention of disturbing such a sweet, lovely time."

His eyes found the Dragon King and Seraphina. They had broken their hug but were still clinging to each other. Father and daughter. Reunited through tears that should have been shed years ago.

Jax looked at them and said. "I’m sorry, Your Highness. I had no choice but to come here while you were busy getting your memory back that your daughter exists."

His voice was wrapped in venom while still being playful. A combination that only Jax could manage without it sounding insane.

"I swear on the gods that I would never in my life disrupt this peaceful and wholesome moment. But some asshole gave me fake information that my students were in trouble here."

He shrugged.

"Looks like I was being fooled."

His eyes caught Elira’s. The dried tear tracks still visible on her face. The red handprint still burning on her cheek.

Elira’s father, who had been trapped somewhere between guilt and his own ego for the past several minutes, finally snapped back seeing Jax’s smirk.

"You have caused enough damage, Professor. I suggest you leave before—"

Jax didn’t look at him. His eyes were still on Elira. Analyzing the broken girl standing in front of him. But his voice came out so hard, so loud, that every person in the garden flinched.

"BEFORE WHAT?"

The garden went dead silent.

"Before you slap me as well? How dare you have the audacity to do that to her."

His head turned to the Vampire King. The playfulness was gone. What remained was a gaze that had preceded several deaths today alone.

"Do you have a death wish? I personally gave you a warning. And yet you made her cry."

He walked to Elira. Gently wiped the dried tears from her face with his thumb. Then turned back to her father.

"I think I already made you witness what happens when you dare to enter my world. Dare to harm my people. My students. I made heads lick my boots who brought tears to her eyes. Irrespective of their position."

His voice peaked here. Beyond anger. Beyond rage. Into territory that didn’t have a name.

"But even after showcasing what hell comes down when you cross that line, you did even worse than what happened before to Lilith. You dared to not only slap her and make her cry, but you did it right in front of me."

The Vampire King felt fear. A strange, unfamiliar sensation that crawled through his chest just from that gaze alone. But he composed himself. Reminding himself that this was just an arrogant commoner who thought he owned the world.

"Watch your tongue, boy. And know very well whom you are speaking to."

He added with the authority of a king. "You know nothing of what it means to rule. To carry the weight of an empire on your shoulders. To make decisions that affect millions. You are a child playing games with things you don’t understand."

Jax responded instantly. "And you’re a father who forgot the difference between a daughter and a diplomatic asset."

The Vampire King hissed. "How dare you—"

"How dare I?" Jax mocked. "Your Majesty, you haven’t seen how daring I can be. If I had shown you, the throne you cling to, or the one far superior that you salivate over, would be vacant right now. The moment you raised your hand at her, it should have been the last time your throne kissed your ass."

The garden was frozen.

"But I held myself. My anger. My rage. My ego. Everything."

He looked at Elira.

"Because I didn’t want to make your daughter an orphan of politics on top of already being an orphan of affection."

His voice dropped.

"Because she still called you Father. Even after everything. Even after the slap. Even after being treated like inventory in your warehouse."

He paused.

"This fool still has hope in her eyes. And the worst part? When she watched Seraphina and her father reconcile, those pleading, jealous eyes were something I could sense even from where I was standing."

Jax gave a smile that carried more disgust than any insult could. "She still has hope. And I refuse to be the one who kills it."

He turned fully to the Vampire King.

"So consider yourself fortunate. Not because you deserve it. But because your daughter does. And the only reason you’re still sitting comfortably with a crown on your head and air in your lungs is because removing either would remove the last shred of shelter she has left."

He left Elira’s side and started walking toward the other guests. "Don’t mistake my restraint for weakness. And don’t test it twice."

He walked through the garden analyzing every person present. Then spoke to the air itself.

"Throne. Power. Money. Fame. You chase them like a man dying of thirst chases water. And somewhere along the road, you drink so much that you drown in it. And the people standing on the shore watching you sink? They’re the same ones you forgot to carry with you."

The Dragon King saw him coming closer. And he didn’t know why, but his instincts told him to be cautious. He stepped in front of Seraphina as if she might get hurt. Prepared himself for retaliation. Because he didn’t trust the maniac walking toward him.

But Jax walked right past him and finished his thought. "Every king I’ve met in this world has the same disease. They build their thrones so high that they can see the entire kingdom. But they can’t see the faces of the people sitting at the base. And by the time they climb down to look, those faces have already stopped waiting."

He stopped. Turned. And stood face to face with Seraphina’s father.

"You got lucky, Your Majesty. She waited when most don’t."

Seraphina had been clutching her father’s clothes the entire time. Tugging gently as if telling him it was okay, that Jax wouldn’t do anything. Her father grabbed that grip gently. Then turned his head back to Jax and gave a nod. A small symbol of gratitude from a king who had almost lost the one thing worth more than his crown.

Jax ignored the token completely and moved to another figure.

And suddenly the playful smirk jumped back onto his face.

"Lady Sianna." He gave a dramatic half-bow. "This plebian is honored to be under your presence. But I must confess, you won my heart on our very first meeting. I genuinely like you."

Her gaze alone carried enough killing intent to fill a graveyard. Even behind the fan covering her expression, the murderous energy was leaking. Beside her, Leon looked like he was one sentence away from drawing his weapon.

Jax rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Hey, don’t get me wrong. It’s not like... the romantic type."

He made a kissing-couple gesture with both hands and went into an exaggerated blushing mode that looked ridiculous on a man who had killed a pope and few more earlier this week.

"I mean..."

Before he could finish the clarification, a screen materialized in front of his eyes. Visible only to him.
