Astrid remained entirely clueless and just stared right into his deep eyes while a heavy red blush covered her entire face.

Jax slowly moved the hand that was gently touching her cheek and softly grabbed her fingers in a highly specific way that immediately made Astrid realize he was preparing her for a romantic dance.

But to her complete and utter shock, not only did he plan to gracefully move with her at this absurd altitude, he also started to sing with full raw emotion and a mesmerizing tone.

Before Jax could even finish aggressively spouting his frustrated complaints, his words were completely swallowed by Astrid.

Now Jax was the one completely stunned as he tightly grabbed onto her body and willingly let himself get passionately devoured by Astrid.

But quickly processing the incredible situation, his fading anger was instantly replaced by a triumphant smile.

Her soft voice suddenly turned terrifyingly hard and completely cold. "However, you are delusional if you believe this performance will instantly wash away your dark sins and make me blind to all your wicked past actions."

She tilted her head slowly. "On that exact note, there are several burning questions that have been haunting my mind for the past few days. And right now is the perfect time to drag them into the light."

She pierced Jax with a death glare before slowly turning her terrifying attention toward the bottomless ground below.

Jax felt a terrifying block of ice drop straight down his spine because he knew things were taking a horribly dark turn.

He frantically started thinking of any possible way to instantly change the dangerous topic and save his own life.

Thick glassy tears were rapidly forming in her beautiful eyes.

Jax swallowed hard and tried to speak. "I am..."

She aggressively clamped her hand right over his jaw and nose to completely shut his mouth.

She growled with pure intensity. "That is quite enough, because you have officially crossed a line you never should have touched. You actually dared to show me exactly how badly I was losing in this stupid game, huh."

Her teary face suddenly twisted into a dangerously teasing smile. She pressed her thumb hard against his skin and proudly wiped a bloody red mark right across his cheek made using her own nails.

"But you stupidly forgot exactly who you were playing against. You have successfully awakened the exact same monster that I was trying hard to suppress, the same monster that not only the people fear of, but also my own father avoids."

She leaned in closer. "And this specific monster simply will not rest until it violently teaches a certain bastard exactly whose property he is."

She dramatically let go of his face and glanced around the open sky. "But this massive open space honestly does not feel right for our private little cute moments, because there will be way too many potential eyes watching us out here. So..."

There was a tiny terrifying pause before her voice boomed with unyielding authority. "I COMMAND YOU TO USE YOUR DOMAIN MAGIC ON ME AGAIN."

Jax backed away with genuine fear completely taking over his face, which was a highly uncommon sight for him. "Please just calm down, Astrid, because you are clearly not in your right—"

Astrid ruthlessly cut his words short. "Do not force me to repeat myself twice."

She then flawlessly shifted her boiling anger into a sickeningly sweet innocent smile that somehow radiated pure terrifying violence. "Remember that talk about climbing the harem ranks. And that promise you made to do anything I asked. I am redeeming that exact golden coupon right now. So hurry up and open the domain before I completely lose my precious innocence."
