However, most of the people who joins the army are poor people. Yes, not patriotic people. Not old people clamouring for war

It is young uneducated poor people

Because they are poor, they are uneducated. And because they are poor, they enlist. And most of them only pray to make it back home. Get their salary and then get out of the military life and danger.

Some nation before the Fall even purposefully created a system where there would always been a poor class.

Because if there is no poor class, who would be the slaves of the people class who have everything?

Of course, the ruling class knows that for this system to work, they must make the poor think that they could change their fates and that the system is fair to them

It is slavery but they managed to make it seem like some kind of benevolent system

But the road has already been made for them. Before they even take the first step, their destination is already known

Soldiers are the most pitiful ones.

Especially those who just wanted to go home.

But instead dies and the ruling power would make them a hero.

Just so others could follow what they think the ideal soldier really is.

And the ideal soldier is the soldier who would die for their lord.

After reading that report Azief believe that there was a battle. There is a battle between some forces in Japan and the monster that landed on Old China

Maybe the monster in Old China wanted to spreads its terror to the land in Japan but there are some divine force in Japan that stopped it

At that time, those eyewitness probably could not view such battle and give an accurate report.

But from this Azief deduce that maybe there is some kind of divine power that protects Japan

It is not to say that....is a good thing.

After all, everyone had discovered that certain things in the world had some traces of otherworldly to it.

The Stonehenge for example is not merely some kind of way to tell time or some method of calendar or a place of worship

The Stonehenge itself possess some kind of magical powers.

Since the All Source fell onto earth certain things that has lasted for thousands of years also seems to show some kind of magical properties.

Unlike some other things, it is not like they are like this because of the All Source

They were magical in the first place

But because Earth has no magic, it could not reveal its power and could not show it extraordinariness

The Order of Thinkers believe that for some early period of human existence, magic did exist on Earth

But the amount is like heaven and earth compared to now and that period of time

Azief heard the Order of Thinkers wanted to create some kind of device to detect these magic properties

Something akin of radiocarbon dating but for magic

The pyramids for example have some kind of resonance with the energy of heaven and earth

These pyramids however is not the same kind of pyramids that the people knew. They revealed themselves when the All Source fell and change the world

The eyewitness said that pyramid structure emerges out from the sand. It is probably there long before the ancient Egypt civilization was even there

And to those who knows history they knew that the ancient Egypt itself knows that there an even more ancient civilization before them that also set themselves up around the Nile river long before they have their pharaoh

Probably the force that stop those dangerous monster form coming inland as share some kind of similarity to the magical power that protected these pyramids

The Divine power in Japan does not necessarily wanted to protect Japan. They probably simply wanted to protect whatever they left in that land.

After all, maybe whatever this divine force left in that land....was not left on land at all.

Azief had learned that beings like Odin had come to Earth a long time ago.

Some of them come to Earth during the time of the dinosaurs.

Maybe some of them planted cause and effect at that time.

Buried some devices or set up some magic power.

At that time, maybe the continent is still one.

Maybe it was Pangaea.

And the continent shakes and separates and become what it is today

Maybe those divine beings left the device even before the Japan island come into being.

So, it is not to say that the pyramids protect Egyptian or the Stonehenge protect Scotland or that any of those magical temples and magical places protect these modern regimes.

They were simply lucky....to establish their nation around these places. And it could not be denied that it is precisely because there is this kind of connection between heaven and earth in these places that people might be attracted to it and created cities and civilizations around it

Maybe all of those holy places....ae not as ordinary as one might thought. Maybe there is something magical about it.

Of course, now that the entire world had been rearranged, the places of these things had also changed.

All of this is to say that Japan was very lucky. But just because there is no powerful monster attacking them didn’t mean that there was order or peace

There were warlords in Japan at that time. Some are people with Yakuza background. Some are policies, some are elite university students and professor and some are unions.

After all, they might not have guns but they did not need guns in a world where everyone could level up

Probably all of these people fighting to make a name for themselves would never thought that in the end they would be dominated by two high school student

These two quickly snowballed their advantages, subduing and conquering all of those warlords around them and the more they attacked, the more they win and the more they win, the stronger and larger their influence became.

This is not the ancient times.

Everyone knows how to gather people and win the hearts of the people and then uses that advantage to quickly become a monopoly

The only difference would be in luck and courage.

Without luck, even the most powerful hero would stumble. Without courage, even the most bountiful of luck could not be used

And Hirate who was on the capital at that time and quickly seize the legitimacy of Japan, not by using prime minister or the Constitution of Japan which at that time no young people even know and care about but using one of the most enduring symbol of Japan

He even changes his name to Ashikaga. Changing names are not a rare thing in Japanese politics.

It is rarer in modern times but during the Muromachi period changing names is nothing

And there were many reason to change the name

Toyotomi Hideyoshi was not always known as Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

He changes his name multiple times sometimes because of an event, sometimes to flatter, and later in life to reflect his power and social statutes and shed his humble beginnings

Then he changes his name to Hashiba Hideyoshi while serving Oda Nobunaga.

The surname Hashiba is created by combining the character from Nobunaga two top general, Niwa Nagahide and Shibata Katsuie.
