Chapter 2108: Upgrading III

Outside, the tribulation did not end.

It is continuing and it is gathering even more power

If it end this early, it would not really be called a tribulation and it would not really be something that everyone who reached this point fear to advance

It is because it is so hard and it felt like the entire world are against you that you would hesitate to take this step

Right now, Azief is thinking about anything else but the tribulation. Right now he is remembering back to those years and how he condense the Orbs.

And he remember how he broke through to the next realm. The next realm is none other than the Energy Disperse realm

The orb crack. And Azief instantly remember what to do.

"Focus" he mutters to himself. And the Orb condense , becoming tinier and tinier and then it became so small, like it is a small dot

BOOOM!

Almost the second it become a dot, it exploded. Violent burst of energy erupted from him. And around the beaches where Azief is floating the energy burst shakes the entire island.

The forest around one thousand kilometres radius around him is flattened like a massive explosion aftershock passes them by

Sands turns to glass, the sky bore a hole, and the ground depressed ten feet deep, causing the beaches to sink and the entire island seems like it is going to crack

Before, when this happen, there is a space inside his consciousness.

This is the basis of the Inner World. But right now, a different thing is happening. And he immediately break through to Energy Disperse realm in one leap

Threads of energy is formed, strings binds the elements and the laws, the attributes become more and more clearer and then each of the attributes he had cultivated in the past appears again

His body is being reformed and strengthened, and so is his attribute. It is almost like his body is trying to purify itself, turning all of his initial attribute into something divine

For example, a simple punch would become a divine fist under this baptism of energy. And the energy that he is now absorbing is already draining everything dry in this one sea

Yes, the entire Turbulent Sea is filled with magical energy, energy storms and many other natural disaster that appears because of the energy of heaven and earth

But all of those energies are right now being pacified.

No, it is not quite right to say it is pacified. It is more accurate to say that it is being absorbed and now it is empty

And all of his attribute before has now once again appears

He felt a certain coldness around him and around him everything that lives dies and the grass wilted and the soil turns dark and barren

Death appears

This is one of his most powerful attribute and the attribute of which he has most control of

It is the attribute that he would then make it his core Law and Rules. Death leads to Destruction laws.

In the past, there is an Aspect Image to it. In his mind ,he would see the image of a skull and people clawing from the depth of blood red soil

And then one could hear the sound wailing and screaming

This was the effect that would happen when he activated this attribute. It could be used as a mental attack and could be added to weapons and his own punch to create some kind of corrosive and deadly attack

A Totem Image of Death

But now, that totem image acts differently than before and look differently than it did before

If before, death is like a skull, now it has become a very different kind of images. And this image is no longer restricted as it was before. Azief is still floating in the air but on the ground, there is a great change

The barren soil is now squirming and then something crawled out of it. Not zombies or dead people. But monsters. Skulls and bones of monsters. Some of them did not even have full bones

But there is dark aura around the missing bones

Almost like it is holding it up so that it would crumble

And the totem image this time is different. Not a skull. But a face. A faceless visage, covered with a shroud of darkness

Like a shrouded figure

Azief Death Totem had changed. Because he himself had changed. So the totem had also changed

There is no longer the scene of a skull. There is no scene of people clawing from the depth of blood red soil.

But there is sounds.

Not sound of screams and wailing. Just a sound of the wind

An eerie wind and it brought the coldness.

The kind of coldness you felt when you are face to face with something terrifying. A kind of cold that strike you deep in your heart.

Death has changed. And the faceless figure with a shroud is there.

Even though it has no eyes, no nose, no nothing on its face, you could feel it looking at you, like it is an inevitability

And around it are dark shadows of darkness. Almost like darkness itself has an entrance. A dark mist around it and for a moment this totem appears and the entire cove area.....no, the entire almost sunken island is covered with this mist

But then another totem appears

Time

This is another one of Azief attribute

And the Hourglass of Sand appears

Azief rarely uses this attribute. At least not as an attack since he reached higher level.

When he reached this level before in his journey, an Energy Disperse realm leveler could shatter those who are in Pillar Forming simply with one shout

The shout of course is just an exaggeration. To achieve it, one must imbue the attribute in the shout

Only then it would work. And then there is the Divine Pressure generated from the suppression of realm

It could crack the Orb of an Orb Condensing realm leveler.

One strike of his hand could part the heavens and with one stomp shatter the lands. But this description no longer works. After all, at that time, earth was not the earth today.

Azief didn’t know if the system did a system update but as far as he knows most Energy Disperse realm beings could not split the heaven with their hands and stomp the land into pieces

That description only works during that period of time

Nowadays, to part the heaven, one at least need to have the strength of a Disk Formation. Below that, even the clouds would find it hard to move

This is not because the people in this world are getting weaker or the realm become weaker and being nerfed

It is more like the world is getting stronger and old methods no longer works

Azief contemplate this as he looks at the Hourglass of Sand

"Time" he mutters

His understanding of time had also changed profoundly

At one point he thought time is just linear. Then he thought time is like the flowing sand, from top to bottom.

But now he had experienced many things. Most of them is based on this attribute....time

He had race a Speedster and break through time and space and even ended up in the future. He had been to countless time nodes. He had even run around in the time space continuum.

And now as his understanding of time begins to crystalize, the attribute of time unconsciously emanates from his body

This is another thing he did not realize.

Azief eyes right now is only focused on that hourglass.

He is not looking at his surroundings.

He is not worried that his breakthrough or any other "effects" would kill innocent.

Before he chose this island, he already make sure there is no human settlement here.

There is beast and monsters here and animals but there is no human settlements here.

So, even if anything happen, he would not be worried.

It is because of that he could focus on the matter at hand without ever caring about anything else.

And what is happening right now, is that the attributes of time emanating from him begins affecting the island.

Not the ground beneath him, or the clouds and sky above his head, but the entire island and the entire sea around him

When he first create this attribute and uses it in his Energy Disperse realm, it only affect nearly ten meter radius give or take

But now, its envelopes the entire island and beyond. This is beyond ten meter radius like it was before

And the hourglass changes. It first changes to the scenery of a river. The river seems to contain time and space but then it changes again

Not to a clock, or another river....but to a book.

This is Azief understanding of time.

Time is linear only to mortals.

Those who could see the world in a more transcendental view knows that time is not linear at all

Past, present and future is hard to discern.

Even more so once you begins go back to the past.

It created a paradox and sometime creating a cycle of perpetual suffering or infinite repetition of things

Time is like a book.

Made up of moments.

And that is what time is to him.

Every moment is actually a separate page of a book. And not as flowing as smoothly as one would think.
