Chapter 2127: An Old Memory Resurfaces

That stair again.

To some people, it was like awakening a memory. Many people saw it at that time. Those people that saw it, some of them have become governor of a region, powerful people in the world

Some of them are still just the same. But whether they were the same, or whether they had changed, one thing was certain

The world has changed

But looking at that stairsteps once again, they once again feel like they were during those times

Almost like the world didn’t change at all.

And everyone was reminded of that figure.

That wall. That mountain. The heaven beyond the heavens

And the people that are seeing this stair, is reminded of that person and they themselves felt powerless.

Weak.

Because the one who summons this stair is the strongest man in the world and when they think of the comparison, they could not help but feel dejected.

But not everybody feels like this.

After all, different people have different way of processing that event

But one thing that could not be denied.

The stair in the sky is magnificent.

To those who had seen it before, they feel it was even more magnificent now than it was before

And to those who is seeing it for the first time, they are completely in awe at it.

There is a reclusive master watching this stair. He is standing on the edge of a cliff. He is wearing shabby clothing but his body emanates powerful fluctuation of energy. Surprisingly enough, this person had reached Divine Comprehension realm.

But he was not famous.

No one knows his name.

No one even knows such a person existed.

If the world knows such a person existed, the world powers would surely try to recruit such person. He is not an alien that come from some foreign world nor is he one of those who ae stuck in this world during the Multiversal Convergence

He is also not someone who breach to this Earth from the breaches in reality

He was born on Earth, and he is a person of Earth. He experiences everything from the Fall to the Occupation to the establishment of the Seven Great Powers and he had witnessed everything from the beginning of the Fall until today.

If the world knows about it, he would be bombarded by all kinds of meetings and request to learn under him.

But no one knows about him.

Loki himself if he met this person would not know his name and since this person himself never participated in any of the major events in the world, he did not have the kind of fame like these famous figures in the world

But in the world right now, there is only four Divine Comprehension realm beings.

This is public knowledge.

Death Monarch is in Essence Creation and right now, there is no one else on Earth that is at the same realm as he is.

But as for Divine Comprehension, even though many are gunning for that realm and wanting to breakthrough, there is only three people on Earth right now that is a fully fledged Divine Comprehension realm beings

That is Raymond, Hikigaya and Oreki and Jean

The world did not know that there is a fifth.

And this fifth one is not even famous and did not even belong to any of the world powers or any organization or state.

This person is middle aged but he looks old. Very old. Almost like he stylized himself like this.

Most people would style themselves to be younger. And that is easy to do in this era of magic.

Illusions and even rejuvenation magic is not out of the ordinary

But he did not seem to care whether to appear young or old and he sems to prefer appearing like an old man.

He had a beard that is long. not well trimmed. A moustache that covers most of his upper lips. And beside him is his disciple.

He looks at the stair and shook his head. there is a smile on his face

"Who would have thought I would see it again in this lifetime?" this old man then looks at his disciple and spoke

"Be careful. If I am not mistaken, there will be a powerful pressure coming down right about.... now"

The moment he said this a powerful pressure descended on Earth

The energy is emanating out from that staircase. The disciple was about to be blown away by this sudden pressure. But the old man simply waves his hand and a gentle energy envelope his disciple

He smiles and shakes his head

"When I was young, I could not even stand."

Those who were not ready is now kneeling.

Or lie down because of the pressure.

The moment it arrives, it did not give off this pressure.

But when it fully merged, the energy force all the living creation to prostrate to them

If you were in Disk Formation you could theoretically withstand the pressure. Because no matter how powerful the stair is, it is just a projection and not the real one. And the stair is not some kind of weapon.

It did not intentionally want to kill you

But now, the pressure that it emanated felt even more powerful than the last time it appears.

Not only the pressure is stronger, all over the world, even those who are in Disk Formation find it hard to stand up under this pressure.

The protection formation in Pandemonium is already not there.

So, the entire population of Pandemonium is now exposed to this force and many are now kneeling on the ground.

Some is lying down, their face scorched up like some invisible force is pushing them down

Azief opens his eyes and look at the stairs and he smile

"I never thought it could be summoned again" he mutters to himself.

Azief really did not expect to see this stair again, after all, before, there was no tribulation and his breakthrough is so smooth like it bypassed all trials and tribulation

But now, that he once again created the perfect Disk, the stairs appear again.

He did not hate it instead he was just surprised.

The sky was blue.

And now, it was white.

From the moment that stairs appear, it slowly turns the sky white. It seems to suppress the blue sky

And in the middle of that expanse of white, is a step of stairs, seemingly extending to infinite outer space

The stair is there, floating on the sky, releasing some kind of pressure. Azief felt this pressure before.

But now it is even more powerful than before

Azief smiles

"I almost forget how it looks like" Azief did try to find this stairway after he had time before.

But the more he seeks the more he could not see it.

The Supremacy Stairway is a kind of place where it could not be sought intentionally. The more you seek it, the more you would not find it

And now, after he nearly forgotten about it, it appears again

All over the world, there is many people that is now watching that stair in the sky. Some of them smiles.

Some of them laughed.

Some of them cry.

As for the old man with his disciple, he looks at the stair with a feeling of schadenfreude

All of these people who looks at the stair with a dep expression, feeling all kinds of emotions, all of this is because they were the few people who try to fly to that stairway.

At that time, Death Monarch had already step on it and they all flew to the stairway.

Even at that time, they could tell it would be a great fortune to walk on that step.

But it was then that they found out, that no matter what method they try to use to reach that stair, the stair could not be accessed for them

The stair on the sky sometimes looks like it is only miles away from them but the closer they come, the further it seems. Almost like some kind of mirage. And no one could lock the location of the stair even when the stair is in front of them

It was truly something weird

An unattainable height, an unattainable dream

It was then that they all recognize, that to walk that stair, one should try to summon it first. Only then would you have the qualification to walk that stair.

But one thing that these old veterans knows and the reason why they feel so complicated seeing that stair again is because they all gain something that day

This old man found his own path.

And he did not even step on that stair.

When he was pushed away by that force from that stair, he was struck with an energy he did not know

But he had been researching that energy for almost all of his life since then

And that is how he could silently become one of those who are at the top of the power structure in the world.

This old man believes that those people who had fly toward the stair that day all gain something.

And that is why they feel so complicated seeing that stair again.

And all they could do right now....is sigh
