By nearly one o'clock in the afternoon, the mother and daughter were finally awakened by Luis. After they each freshened up and got dressed, Luis had already finished cooking in the kitchen.
"Good afternoon, Daddy~" The little girl was cute and charming, though her steps were a bit unsteady. She had slept so soundly that she had no idea when Luis had gotten up.
But there were now anti-inflammatory pills and medicated ointment on the bedside table. Such thoughtful little details made her feel incredibly happy.
This kind of gentle and considerate behavior was irresistible even to mature married women, let alone a young girl just beginning to understand love. She simply had no defense against it.
"Come on over and eat, you two sleepyheads." Luis said with a warm smile as he beckoned them.
"Wow, so lavish."
The main course was a newly launched luxury dish from the Gestor Palace private kitchen. Luis had a sudden impulse, called early to order it, and then went to pick it up.
The steam from the authentic Thai jasmine rice released the fragrant aroma of grain. The roasted meat platter was an undeniably classic choice, and the pan-fried beef with peppers had always been their signature dish.
The fragrant shredded crab meat poured over the rice was simply exquisite, as was the chicken broth fish fillet made with hand-line caught humpback grouper. There were also soft-boiled rich and creamy shrimp and top-quality black tiger prawns prepared in the Typhoon shelter style.
The table was full, overflowing with the taste of luxurious money.
"Have some soup first!!"
The soup was a pre-simmered black chicken and ginseng soup, along with a serving of conch stewed with morel mushrooms. It was incredibly delicious, and they even gave you the clay pot. After reheating it at home, the flavor was especially rich and sweet.
Gestor Palace private kitchen actually offers delivery, and their own staff handle it with great style.
But to show his attentiveness, Luis made the trip himself. Besides rewarding the mother-daughter pair whose performance last night was surprisingly delightful, Luis also specifically called his wife, Lily, to tell her not to order takeout boxes.
What he sent his wife was a set meal; just looking at the boxes, you could tell they were expensive. Gestor Palace is quite famous in the city.
The classic braised sea cucumber with scallions, the chicken汁 South American abalone, along with a few small side dishes to go with rice. This meal cost just over one thousand, and it also came with a small fruit platter featuring cherries and big strawberries.
His wife, Lily, was naturally shy and didn't like to be the center of attention, but that didn't mean she lacked the vanity common to women. At most, she just didn't have a strong desire to show off.
Her husband's genuine care, showing their affection in front of her colleagues, and their surprised and envious "wows" – to her, this was an incredibly happy thing.
Such a small detail was enough to make her happy for days. It had to be said, she was someone who was particularly easily satisfied.
After enjoying a wonderful meal with them, Luis kissed each of them goodbye, stayed for a while, and then left their apartment.

Then he could swoop in like a heavenly soldier, pull a hero-rescuing-beauty act, and see if he could boost his mother-in-law's favorability meter.
On the dining table at home were two cartons of good cigarettes and two relatively expensive bottles of XO.
His mother-in-law, Ruth, was beaming with pride, giggling, "Yeah, Black Dog suddenly showed up at the teahouse and it scared me too. I thought that guy was coming to cause trouble."
"But he came carrying gifts, said he talked some nonsense while drunk and asked me not to mind it, and heaped on a lot of praise, wishing us booming business."
"He also said he wanted to host a dinner to apologize to me in person, but I directly refused him."
"Oh, and before he left, that guy said his store lease is up at the end of the year, and since this business isn't making much money anymore, he's planning to quit."
Black Dog's visit to apologize was like a bombshell in the community. After all, compared to lofty figures like Dominic or the Leon family up above.

Resting quietly at home for a day, Luis opened the task interface and looked over the numerous tasks.
Looking at the current main and side quests, the easiest one to complete should be the task involving his beautiful sister-in-law.
But there were hidden benefits with her. He'd only accumulated over fifteen million so far, which was too little. Although Luis was itching to go for it, for the money, he had to be patient.
There were only two system blind boxes left. Luis's hands itched to open them again, but then he felt this number wasn't safe.
So he kept going back and forth on the task page. Looking at them all, each one seemed difficult, none of them something that could be finished right away.
As for the reason behind Black Dog backing down, Luis understood after receiving a call from Hail.
"The asset liquidation plan for Tiger Real Estate is almost complete. Dominic is as cunning as an old fox, after all. As long as he doesn't fall, he has the ability to mediate among various forces and find a balance."
