Chapter 614 Daniel Full Of Negative Status
Chapter 614 Daniel Full Of Negative Status
At the mention of this, Hela grew even angrier, stamping her feet and saying:
"That bastard boy, I only said a few words to him, and he actually said that if Nancy can accept it, then they can continue on, but if she can't, then they might as well get a divorce. Anyway, right now, he just doesn't care anymore."
"It's driving me crazy…"
As she spoke, Hela's breathing became rapid, her full chest rising and falling with each breath, a truly enticing sight.
But Luis knew she wasn't in the mood for anything like that right now, so without making any lewd moves, he began to think the matter over.
Divorce was common enough these days, but to get a divorce for a reason like this would be utterly humiliating.
Not to mention that a strong woman like Hela couldn't accept it, and given Darlan's temperament, he wouldn't be able to bear the shame either; he might even beat his own son to death.
"So, what do you want me to do now? Talk to him?"
Luis gave a wry smile and said considerately, "You mean, try to talk my sister-in-law out of the idea of divorce, right?"
"Yes, exactly. How could we possibly endure that kind of disgrace?"
Hela's face was filled with bitterness and sorrow as she said, "And I was hoping we could handle this properly and keep it from getting out."
"Don't let your mother-in-law know, and definitely don't let my old man find out, or he'll beat your brother-in-law to death."
Hela's hopes were certainly optimistic. Logically speaking, with things so messy, it seemed unlikely to stay quiet, but given the special circumstances here, it might actually be possible.
Just as Luis was pondering this, Hela leaned in with a mysterious expression and added, "Oh, and here's another thing."
"Earlier, Daniel just sat there smoking with his head down, not talking back, until finally he couldn't take it anymore and said, 'With all your own dirty secrets, what right do you have to lecture me?'"
"Does that mean… Nancy might have…"
At this point, Hela was getting into the details, her intuition proving remarkably sharp.
But she never imagined, not in her wildest dreams, that the man having an affair with both her and her daughter-in-law was the same person, standing right in front of her.
She was afraid that Nancy, with her fiery personality, would blow this up, especially since her counterpart in the other family was no pushover either.
If it really came to a blow-up, it would surely cause a huge scandal, spreading everywhere until everyone knew about it, and then their whole family wouldn't be able to hold their heads up in public.
And Nancy had been crying, locking herself in her room. What if she did something foolish?
Luis had a pretty good idea of what was going on. He gave Hela's shoulder a comforting pat and walked back to the living room, sitting down right next to Daniel.
He looked up and saw Daniel's persona tag: Homosexual, Cuckold Enabler, Cuckold.
The "Homosexual" label was even darker now, the font especially bold, suggesting this wasn't the first time, while the other two labels were still a bit faint.
The effect of the persona tag item was relatively gentle, not like brainwashing that could achieve hypnotic effects and instantly change a person's character and preferences.
Because Hans's bar existed, and with that kind of environment and influence, Daniel finally had the conditions to let himself go.
To put it bluntly, every aspect needed guidance; otherwise, influenced by deeply ingrained worldly views, there wouldn't be much effect.
Daniel gave Luis a meaningful look and handed him a cigarette, saying, "Luis, you try to talk to her. Let's discuss whatever needs discussing calmly. There's no need to make a scene, right?"
That final "right" carried a subtle, unspoken implication.
It seemed to be a reminder to Luis, "I didn't miss it when you touched my wife's thigh last time."
After all, it was a brother-in-law with his sister-in-law; it wouldn't look good if it got out either. Everyone has their secrets, so Nancy had better behave herself and not make trouble. There was definitely a hint of threat in his tone.
Looking back, the reason he had kept quiet about it all this time, aside from the persona tag's influence, seemed to be that he was holding it in reserve as leverage for a crucial moment, planning ahead.
If Hela weren't there, he probably would have already come clean and told Nancy about it.
But with his mother present, he simply couldn't bring himself to say it. Unlike his own infidelity and preference for men, some traits were ingrained in his nature.
For example, when a man is cuckolded, most men don't want to advertise it; they feel it's the most disgraceful thing possible.
Having your father killed is a grievance, a matter of moral obligation to remember.
Being robbed of your wife carries an intensely emotional weight. That's why there are old sayings like gambling leads to theft, and adultery leads to murder; these are widely recognized truths.
The reason Daniel was reluctant to speak was that he was also afraid of the shame and embarrassment. The earlier incident he caused was, frankly, a bit childish.
But now that there was actual proof, he was much calmer about it…
"Brother-in-law, don't worry. I'll talk to my sister first."
Luis spoke calmly.
Sometimes the understanding between men was just that simple. However, glancing at the jar of Vaseline on the table that hadn't been put away, Luis felt a twinge of discomfort and didn't want to linger.
He didn't even light the cigarette; he just set it down and walked to the bedroom door, knocking. Immediately, a hysterical stream of curses erupted from inside from his sister-in-law:
"Daniel, that bastard…"
"What the hell am I lacking? You motherf*cker…"
"If you were messing around with women, I could live with it… Hell, even if you slept with Deewa, I wouldn't give a damn…"
"If you absolutely had to do something, go find some old woman…"
"But you f*ck around with men… Am I really worse than some man?!"
Damn, this couple was both pretty messed up now. From this perspective, maybe they were actually a good match.
Luis couldn't help but smirk with a touch of schadenfreude. He knocked on the door and said, "Sis, it's me…"
The cursing stopped immediately. The door opened a crack, and Nancy reached out with her slender, jade-like arm, pulling Luis inside in one swift motion.
His sister-in-law was wearing a tight dress that looked incredibly sexy. Her wavy hair was tied back, and even without makeup, she was still stunningly beautiful. Especially with the obvious signs of crying mixed with her furious expression, honestly, it was a strangely arousing sight.
"Why are you here?"
Nancy wiped her tears away and sat back on the bed, fuming.
Luis took the initiative to lock the bedroom door, then approached with a playful smile. "Your mother-in-law was afraid you might do something drastic, so she asked me to come and talk to you."
"Do something drastic? Over Daniel? F*ck!"
His sister-in-law, Nancy, couldn't help but curse. Then she snorted with undisguised contempt and said angrily, "You know what that bastard did, right?"
"Your mother-in-law told me."
Luis nodded.
Nancy was seething with rage, ranting and raving: "That goddamn bastard. I knew something was off with him for a long time. If he was going to fool around with women, I could turn a blind eye and just not bother with him."
"But that sick pervert goes and fools around with men! And just now, do you know the way he looked at me?"
"It was like he was completely dismissing you, like he was one step away from saying, 'If you want a divorce, just go ahead and file.'"
Nancy was proud and arrogant. There was no way she could tolerate such provocation; her explosion was inevitable.
Luis quickly wrapped his arms around her, kissing her pretty face, licking away the lingering tears as he said with a playful grin, "Sis, why get so angry over this? All it does is make me worry about you."
