Carter Peng, however, remained calm and said with a smile, "Uncle really should have introduced Luis to me earlier. Come to think of it, I've never seen him at any family gatherings over the years."

As they were talking, Carter Peng's phone rang. He answered it, then stood up and said, "I'll head out first. Can't be late for a drink with your boss."

Elara Ye was in a great mood and saw him out the door.

Once she sat back down, she opened another bottle, raised it with a grin, and said, "Come on, Luis, you've worked hard too. Now that the mole's been caught, that's one less thing to worry about."

"Not hard at all. It's my honor to take care of my big sister."

Luis clinked his bottle with hers.

Before they knew it, they'd polished off an entire case of twenty-four small bottles of bottled Budweiser.

The female alcoholic Elara Ye still wanted more. She grabbed a few more bottles from the fridge and said, "Oh, by the way, there's something I need to tell you. You don't need to keep following Xeno anymore."

"Don't follow him anymore?"

Elara Ye said, "There's a TV drama our station is investing in. He's going to visit the set tomorrow. His plane ticket for noon tomorrow is already booked."
