Side Chapter 4 – Katima’s Diary

My brother vanished. He just disappeared, either accompanied by Celes or urged by her.

Even before the unveiling, a proper investigation team was assembled, but after several days, there was still no progress.

Would Father be in a foul mood again today? I was pondering what mischief I might stir up when I overheard the news:

Apparently, His Majesty was in a cheerful mood.

I heard that Ain had acquired the skill “Gift of Training,” and that the King’s face had softened at the news of his hardworking grandson. Though bound by a secret pact, I secretly hoped that if Olivia were to divorce and return home, Ain might become Crown Prince.

One night, after finishing my research, I wandered the castle.

The butler’s office was unusually lively, so I opened the door, wondering if there was a problem.

“What are you all doing at this hour?”

Then, I saw the butlers frantically hide something. What could they be hiding? As I pondered this, I noticed Chris was in the room.

When I pressed them, they said they were going to pick up Olivia. I understood—that child’s patience had finally reached its limit.

I left the room and ordered a passing guard knight. “Tomorrow, when Chris returns to the castle, report who she brought with her.”
