And Little Fishy and Xianhai Shaoyu were extremely talented. They were known to be the most talented juniors in the world of cultivation before Chu Feng’s rise to fame. 

Yet, this female ghost evaluated them as only having a chance. The energy that emanated from the treasure room must have been formidable.

To be safe, Chu Feng asked, “Elder, do you think I can withstand the energy?”

The female ghost assessed Chu Feng before replying, “Your earlier performance is incredible, but I still have to say that the energy from the treasure room comes nowhere close to what you have just experienced. So, I can’t say for sure whether you can withstand the energy. I can only say that you’re the likeliest to withstand it of all the people I have met so far.”

“I’ll give it a try. Elder, can you tell me where the forbidden treasure is?” Chu Feng asked.

“Later, head into the cavern and walk to the end. It might look like there’s a dead end, but that’s because I blocked off the road with a treasure to prevent others from seeing what I’m doing. On the bright side, it is also thanks to the blockade that the energy wasn’t able to spread out here. 

“I’ll impart to you the method to activate the treasure and clear the blockade. Beyond the blockade, you should be able to find the forbidden treasure trapping me inside. However, you should first tell your friends to go out before opening the blockade. The energy is not to be scoffed at; your friends won’t be able to take it, especially the older ones. 

“That’s why I test those who come here. If they don’t meet the requirements, I won’t ask them to risk their life in vain for me,” the female ghost said.

Chu Feng was moved. 

The female ghost was still fairly powerful despite being trapped. 

Those who had reached the level of Little Fishy’s parents and grandfather were able to break free of her secret art, but it would be beyond the weaker ones to do so. She had the means to force others to rescue her. 

But according to the Immortal Sea Fish Clan, she did nothing of that sort. 

The female ghost suddenly thought of something and hesitantly murmured, “Chu Feng, you possess an extraordinarily resilient mind. You must have gone through much suffering to have tempered your mind to this extent at your age. Even though it’s our first time meeting, and I don’t know much about you, I can tell you’re an incredible prodigy.

“I don’t want to lie to you. The energy emanating from the treasure room might be beyond your means to deal with. From the moment you open the blockade, the energy will start eroding your mind. Your life will be in danger. Thus, you might want to reconsider this matter. I won’t blame you if you choose not to help me.”

Chu Feng chuckled. “Elder, you know my name, but I still know nothing about you. If I may, could I ask for your name and the reason you left the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion?”

The female ghost did a twirl on the spot. 

By the time she was facing Chu Feng once more, she looked completely different from before. She had transformed from a paled-faced, bloodied-eyed ghost into a middle-aged woman.

She was beautiful with an amazing figure, with ample bust and bottom, though she was on the chubbier side. Her delicate facial features and her chubby face accentuated her feminine charm. Not even her loose robes could conceal her incredible body. 

It was as if she had two watermelons hanging in front.

But what caught Chu Feng’s attention was her fan-shaped birthmark on her forehead. 

Even though it was just an avatar in an illusion, Chu Feng could tell there was something special about the birthmark. 

“Chu Feng, I am Jie Shanxian. I am old now, so I reckon very few people in the world know about me, but there should be people in the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion who remember me. As for why I left the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion… I can only say that I left because I am not fond of some people,” the woman replied.

“Elder, how long have you been trapped here?” Chu Feng asked.

“It has been a very long time. I have lost track of time, but it should have been at least tens of thousands of years now,” the woman replied.

“So long?” Chu Feng was appalled.

She was extremely pitiful to have been trapped in a place like this for so long.

“Have you decided yet?” Jie Shanxian asked with a careful voice. 

In truth, she wanted to be freed from her imprisonment, and she was afraid Chu Feng would refuse to help her. She could have fooled Chu Feng, but she was afraid he would die in there, knowing how dangerous it was. 

And that was what moved Chu Feng and made up his mind.

“I’m willing to give it a try,” Chu Feng replied.

“Really?” Jie Shanxian could hardly believe her ears. She was overjoyed.

“Yes, I am willing to give it a try.” Chu Feng nodded. 

“Aren’t you worried I’m lying to you? This might be a huge lie I spun to convince you to save me. There might be no treasure at all,” Jie Shanxian asked. 

“I am no saint, but elder, I can tell you are a good person. There’s no reason for you to warn me about the danger otherwise. That being said, I won’t hesitate to leave if the energy is beyond my means to deal with. I hope you can understand that,” Chu Feng said. 

“I do. There’s no way I would blame you.” 

All of a sudden, Jie Shanxian burst into tears. The more she cried, the more agitated she became. It reached a point where she bawled like a child.” Chu Feng, why didn’t you come earlier?”

“This is someone who lived for tens of thousands of years?”

Even Eggy was stunned by Jie Shanxian’s reaction. She was practically a child!

Chu Feng stepped forward to console her, “Calm down, elder. Please impart the method to me. I’ll give it a try.”

“Chu Feng, I feel so much regret,” Jie Shanxian said as she wiped off her tears.

“Regret?” Chu Feng was confused. 

“When I first arrived here, I started by refining the cultivation resource in the ice. The best cultivation resources have already been refined by me. The remaining ones are hard to refine because they are inferior goods. However, I got trapped before I could use the cultivation resources I refined.

“A hundred years ago, two people came here. I tested them—one of them possessed a strong mind, and the other possessed a strong psyche. I saw them as my savior and promised to bring them to the treasure if they saved me. As a show of sincerity, I even told them where I hid the cultivation resources I refined.

“Both their eyes shone when they saw the cultivation resources, especially the older one. He promised to save me and not let down my trust in him. So, I told them the method to unseal the blockade. 

“But as soon as they unsealed the blockade and the energy gushed out, their faces changed. The one with the strong psyche tried his best to make his way toward the forbidden treasure, but he quickly reached his limit and fled. The one with the strong mind didn’t even bother trying. He apologized, saying he wasn’t proficient in world spiritist techniques, before running away.” 

Jie Shanxian gritted her teeth indignantly as she recounted the matter. 

“It’s understandable for the one with the strong psyche to give up after realizing the feat is beyond him, but it’s too much that the one with the strong mind refused to even give it a try,” Chu Feng said. 

“They are in cahoots. Neither of them is a good person,” Jie Shanxian exclaimed with her arms akimbo. She was so angry that her chests were puffing in and out. 

“They took away all the cultivation resources?” Chu Feng asked. 

He would have probably also taken the cultivation resources with him if he failed, but he would have at least left some behind out of apology. This way, Jie Shanxian could at least use them to get someone else’s help. 

“Of course they did! Why else would I be so mad? That was a huge amount of cultivation resource. If only I left some for you… I paid a hefty price to refine it!” Jie Shanxian huffed.

“They are indeed too much,” Chu Feng said with a sigh.

“Right?! Chu Feng, these are the two dog things who stole my cultivation resource! Make sure to stay away from them and don’t get duped by them!” 

Jie Shanxian conjured two figures with a wave of her sleeves. 

Chu Feng and Eggy were stunned.

They were familiar faces. One was his master, and the other was his father.
