Chapter 6353: He Was Already Here

Chu Feng heard much about the Ninth Young Master’s deeds along the way. The latter was not a good person, but he was not thoroughly bad either. It was fine to spare his life, though it wouldn’t weigh on Chu Feng’s conscience to kill him either.

Chu Feng finally found the Ninth Young Master in a tavern.

The Ninth Young Master looked youthful and dashing even though he was no longer young. He had reserved the entire tavern and was drinking alone in the main hall. When he saw Chu Feng, he tossed a Cosmos Sack over without asking anything.

“I have booked this place. Don’t spoil my mood,” the Ninth Young Master said without glancing at Chu Feng.

Chu Feng grabbed the Cosmos Sack and peeked in out of curiosity. The Ninth Young Master was surprisingly generous. None of the items inside the Cosmos Sack were useful to Chu Feng, but it would be a fortune to ordinary cultivators.

“You’re from the Ye Immortal Clan, right?” Chu Feng asked.

The Ninth Young Master immediately sat upright and assessed Chu Feng. “Who are you?”

“I’d like to ask you some questions. Have you seen this person?” Chu Feng asked as he unfurled his grandmother’s painting.

But the Ninth Young Master didn’t answer. He thrust his palm forth, his martial power weaving into a net to capture Chu Feng. He was at rank five True God level.

Chu Feng released his spirit power and incinerated the martial power net.

Sensing the disparity in their strengths, the Ninth Young Master didn’t continue his attack and instead asked, “Are you an enemy of our Ye Immortal Clan?”

Chu Feng flitted up to the Ninth Young Master, grabbed his head, and activated Protection Bane. It would hinder his subsequent plan if the Ninth Young Master had a powerful protective formation.

To his surprise, the Ninth Young Master had no protective formation.

Chu Feng removed his hand and saw that the Ninth Young Master’s face was pale with fright. The latter must have thought that Chu Feng was going to kill him.

“Cooperate with me, and I’ll consider sparing your life,” Chu Feng said.

The Ninth Young Master scoffed, “I am a Ye Immortal Clansman. I don’t fear anyone! I might not have many strengths, but I have spunk! Don’t even dream about prying any information from my mouth...”

Whoosh!

Chu Feng pulled out an assortment of torture tools with a wave of his sleeves.

“Please ask me anything.” The Ninth Young Master changed his tune.

Chu Feng ignored him and picked up a thorned dagger.

The Ninth Young Master panicked. “What are you doing? I’ve already said that I’ll tell you anything you want. Honesty is my greatest strength! But I don’t know the person you’re asking about!”

“How’s your standing in the Ye Immortal Clan?” Chu Feng asked.

“Ah? My standing... The Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief is my father. I’d advise you to think thrice before making a move. My parents won’t spare you if you make a move against me,” the Ninth Young Master said.

“Wasn’t the clan chief position passed down to Ye Xiancheng?” Chu Feng asked.

“You know that as well? Indeed, the current clan chief is my little brother, Ye Xiancheng. My father passed down his position to him, but I don’t acknowledge him as the clan chief. He might appear nice and obedient, but he’s far more scheming than you can imagine. He’s the most cunning one of us all, despite being the youngest! Do you have a grudge against him? If so, I can help you deal with him!” the Ninth Young Master said.

“Sure,” Chu Feng replied.

“How do you intend to deal with him?” the Ninth Young Master asked.

“You just have to cooperate with me. Otherwise, I’ll make you suffer a fate worse than death.”

Chu Feng began constructing a formation to take full control of the Ninth Young Master.

The Ninth Young Master was indeed cowardly. He stood obediently without making a move while the formation was being constructed. When the formation was completed, he said, “Brother, I haven’t lived enough yet. I don’t know what you’re up to, but please spare my life.”

Chu Feng suddenly raised his head and peered through the ceiling to look at the sky.

Words had appeared in the sky. They were already visible to everyone on this realm, but they were still growing at a considerable pace, such that it was only a matter of time before everyone on this starfield saw it.

Chu Feng tensed up. The words were addressed to him.

To Chu Xuanyuan and Jie Ranqing’s son, Chu Feng:

Your grandmother is alive and in the hands of our Ye Immortal Clan. Head to the Divine Body Galaxy’s Reverent Upper Realm’s Reverent Mountain Range if you wish to save her.

“They really captured your grandmother? But how do they know that’s your grandmother?” Eggy was surprised.

“My personal information is no longer a secret. Any competent person investigating me can piece together their intelligence to figure out my family background, friends, and acquaintances. It wouldn’t be surprising for the Ye Immortal Clan to know about that when the Heavensword Sacred Palace has figured out as much. Now, it’s just a matter of whether my grandmother is truly in their hands or not. It’d be best if it’s true,” Chu Feng remarked.

With the Divine Deer’s power, he was confident about saving his grandmother.

“Regardless, we should vanquish the Ye Immortal Clan in the future.” Eggy’s killing intent flared. She wouldn’t spare anyone who dared stand against Chu Feng.

Chu Feng activated the formation and soon had the Ninth Young Master fully under his control. He hid within the Ninth Young Master’s body and controlled the other party toward the location stated in the message.

Everyone he met along the way was discussing the matter.

Chu Feng was well-known in the present era, far more than the Ye Immortal Clan, but not much was known about his background. Most people didn’t know that his grandmother was still alive, or that his father’s name was Chu Xuanyuan.

With the Ninth Young Master’s identity, Chu Feng quickly arrived at the warship and entered a palace. There, he saw the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief and his parents.

However, he had little interest in those people. He was only concerned about the person lying inside the crystal coffin. He could tell with a glance that it was his grandmother, Song Luoyi.

This was not his first time meeting his grandmother. Back when he was still in the Ancestral Martial Galaxy’s Reincarnation Upper Realm, he ventured into Mount Ivory Valley because he needed a huge amount of Spirit Spring Water to raise his spirit power.

There, he met a mysterious old woman. She was dressed neatly and gave off an imposing air, but her face was disfigured. She tried to wash her face with poison, and Chu Feng stopped her.

He realized that the old woman was not in the right state of mind, despite possessing unfathomable cultivation. He couldn’t communicate with her, but he felt an inexplicable intimacy toward her.

Later, he learned that the old woman was his grandmother.

He felt different emotions now that they were reunited. She was his close kin. Looking at her disfigured face left him with a heartache as if someone had stabbed needles into his heart, as he recalled her painful past.

But he remained calm. He could tell that from his grandmother’s stable breathing that she wasn’t injured, even though she was unconscious.

And there were two people in this palace that posed a great threat to him.

“Do you need something, ninth brother?” the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief asked, not knowing someone was controlling his ninth brother.

The two grand elders didn’t utter a word. They scorned their son so much that they weren’t willing to speak to him.

Chu Feng ignored the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief and instead asked the Divine Deer, “Elder, are you confident?”

He could tell that the two grand elders were at least rank four Heavenly Gods. This concerned his grandmother, so he couldn’t afford any slip-ups here.

“I can take your grandmother away. Should I do it now?” the Divine Deer asked.

“Let’s go.” Chu Feng made up his mind.

Weng!

So, the Ninth Young Master suddenly vanished in front of the clan chief’s and his parents’ eyes.

“Huh?”

This sight shocked the two grand elders. When did their useless son become so formidable as to vanish under their watch?

An instant later, their faces warped in horror. The crystal coffin remained inside the room, but Chu Feng’s grandmother had vanished from it.

“What’s going on?”

The clan chief and his parents were dumbfounded. They wondered if they were hallucinating. They quickly spread their senses out and scanned their surroundings, but they couldn’t find Chu Feng’s grandmother anywhere.

It was then that the guest elder spoke up in a relatively more composed tone, “You can withdraw the message now. There’s no need to call for him anymore. He... was already here.”
