Chapter 6405: I Want This Legacy
The new king suddenly attacked.
The experts on Chu Feng’s side retaliated. The first one to make a move was the Spirit God Clan.
Whoosh!
Space shook as countless formation chains whizzed forth amid sonic booms to strike the new king. This was the second layer of the Spirit God Clan’s protective formation.
Lightning and waves enveloped the sky as they crashed down upon the new king. Four rank three Heavenly Gods’ auras could be felt from these devastating forces—the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s Clan Chief, Huangfu Zhantian, and Little Fishy’s parents.
The latter three were able to raise their cultivation level to rank three Heavenly God by activating their bloodline powers, which showed how exceptionally talented they were.
The new king didn’t sit still as they launched their attacks. The space around him shook, and red light spots and a black aura gushed forth from him like an erupting volcano and clashed with the formation chains, lightning, and waves.
Countless piercing screams echoed from the black aura; it turned out that the red light spots were eyes. The black aura comprised countless ants. These ants were made out of incorporeal aura, but they were powerful enough to suppress the combined prowess of four Heavenly Gods.
Meanwhile, the crowd hurriedly retreated to the warship under the Spirit God Clan’s cover.
The shockwaves arising from clashing Heavenly Gods were too strong for other cultivators to bear. The tombstone realm was still shaken up despite Huangfu Zhantian and the others trying their best to suppress the shockwaves. If not for the Spirit God Clan’s protective formation, there would have been great casualties by now.
“Bad news, Lord Chu Feng.” Shen Hui nervously looked at Chu Feng.
Little Fishy’s parents were highly talented to be able to raise their cultivation by two ranks as Heavenly Gods, so there was no question about their fighting prowess.
The Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s Clan Chief and Huangfu Zhantian were strengthened by the Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen’s bloodline power, making them slightly more powerful than the former two.
These four were considered strong even among Heavenly Gods. Yet, despite them cooperating with the Spirit God Clan’s formation, they were still being suppressed by the new king.
The battle might have just begun, but the four Heavenly Gods had already gone all out, whereas the new king remained calm, a sign that he still had more aces up his sleeves.
This suggested that the odds weren’t in their favor. At this rate, they might lose the battle.
“Should we escape?” Shen Hui took out a talisman paper. This talisman paper could be used to activate the teleportation formation.
Shen Hui had placed an imprint on everyone before they entered the tombstone realm. By activating the talisman paper, she could immediately transport everyone out of here.
“Shen Hui, you can decide based on how it goes,” Chu Feng said.
“I understand.” Shen Hui nodded.
Shoosh!
The entire sky suddenly darkened. The new king released a black aura that swiftly spread outward while manifesting humongous spikes. These spikes harnessed immense destructive prowess that pierced through even space itself.
The four Heavenly Gods couldn’t stop it. Even the Spirit God Clan’s formation chains and protective formation shattered in its face.
That black aura was not a martial skill or a secret skill; it resembled a bloodline power. It was a unique move to the new king!
“Lord Chu Feng, we have to leave now!” Shen Hui said as she ignited the talisman paper.
“You don’t have to waste that means,” the new king said as he retracted his black aura and oppressive might.
Shen Hui hesitated, not knowing what the new king meant by that, though those words were clearly directed toward her. To be safe, she clutched the talisman paper tightly in her hands.
“Little ant, why are you stopping now?” Huangfu Zhantian roared in indignation. He would have continued the fight if not for the Huangfu Heavenly Clan’s Clan Chief stopping him.
He was angry that he couldn’t get the better of the new king despite giving it his all, and he thought this was a stain on his reputation as a prodigy. On top of that, he was irked by the new king’s arrogant attitude.
The new king ignored Huangfu Zhantian and looked at Chu Feng, speaking with an earnest tone, “I was joking earlier. If you think of me as a friend, I’ll recognize you as one, too.”
Chu Feng smiled. “I knew you can be trusted.”
“What makes you say that?” the new king asked.
“We could have simply parted ways when our partnership ended, but you said you owed me a favor. From that, I know you are someone who can be befriended,” Chu Feng replied.
“What makes you think it isn’t mere pleasantries?” the new king asked.
“You aren’t the type to speak pleasantries.”
“You’re awfully confident of my character when we have only known each other for a short time.”
“You don’t judge a person’s character based on how long you know them, but whether they can be relied on when things happen. We have put our lives on the line on our previous partnership. I’d say that’s already a good gauge of our characters.”
“That’s reasonable.” The new king revealed a rare smile.
“Are we continuing the fight?” Huangfu Zhantian asked.
The new king finally looked at Huangfu Zhantian. “You wouldn’t stand a chance if I get serious.”
“What a joke. How’d you know if I was serious.” Huangfu Zhantian refused to give in.
The new king turned to Chu Feng and asked, “Are you here for this legacy? I can give it to you, but it won’t be easy to activate the legacy.”
“Are you confident of activating it?” Chu Feng asked.
“Me? Of course I am,” the new king replied.
“That’s good enough for me.” Chu Feng told the new king about the Seven Stars Orbs.
“All right, I’ll help you on that. However, that can’t be considered as repaying your favor. It’s a trivial matter compared to you saving my life,” the new king replied.
Chu Feng smiled.
Just then, Song Yun suddenly spoke up, “I want this legacy.”
