Chapter 6424: The Final Star

After saying those words, Shen Hui turned to the red needles and said, “You may begin.”

Shoosh shoosh shoosh!

The red needles flew toward the Spirit God Clansmen.

The Spirit God Clansmen might have hardened their resolve, but seeing the red needles whiz toward them still filled them with so much fear that they closed their eyes.

Seconds passed. They opened their eyes in bewilderment and confusion. The pain they had been waiting for never came. So, they raised their heads, only to see that the red needles had vanished.

Even the red needles that had pierced through their bodies and fallen on the ground had disappeared.

The formation window expanded, linking the two palaces where the Spirit God Clansmen and Chu Feng were together. They were finally in the same place.

Shen Hui quickly flitted over to Chu Feng’s side with the Spirit God Clansmen to protect him. The red needles might have vanished, but that didn’t mean they were out of danger yet.

“The Spirit God Clansmen are very alert.” Eggy nodded in approval.

These 1111 Spirit God Clansmen were Heavenly Dragon World Spiritists; they would have been revered as gods no matter where they went. Yet, they lowered their posture before Chu Feng as if they were his servants, and they were willing to lay down their lives for Chu Feng.

Eggy liked to see strong people lowering themselves to Chu Feng.

Boom!

The ground suddenly shook vigorously, and a giant appeared in the hall. The hall was, by no means, small, but the appearance of the giant made the hall feel cramped. Before this giant, Chu Feng and the others felt like tiny ants.

Taking a closer look, it was a green monstrous beast resembling a dragon. It had six feet, and it lay curled on the ground. It exuded a natural air of malevolence even though it didn’t release its aura. It was immediately apparent to Chu Feng and all the Spirit God Clansmen that this dragon could kill them in a heartbeat.

But Chu Feng and the others were more focused on the monstrous beast’s head.

The monstrous beast wore a crown, but upon closer examination, one would realize that the crown was a chair. Atop the chair sat a woman.

The woman wore a green skirt with open seams that revealed hints of her snowy thighs. Her emerald eyes glistened like jewels. But her most striking trait was still her powerful disposition, which made it clear that she was unbelievably strong.

No wonder the monstrous beast could only serve as her chair leg.

She held a red needle in her hand—it was identical to the ones that had pierced through Chu Feng and the others, but the one she held was the real one.

“Trust is the most precious thing in the world, and I see it in all of you,” the woman said. It was the same voice that had addressed them earlier.

“Elder, are you the Spectral Fairy?” Chu Feng asked.

“That’s right,” the woman replied.

“Chu Feng, is she the main body, a soul fragment, or a formation? Is she from the Ancient Era or the Immemorial Era?” Eggy was burning with curiosity.

“I can’t tell, but she’s terrifyingly strong even if it’s just a soul fragment,” Chu Feng replied.

“She’s formidable. I can’t even begin to gauge her limits. I doubt I’d stand a chance against her even if I pit my life against her. Chu Feng, make sure you speak to her politely. Don’t anger her,” Eggy reminded.

Chu Feng could tell as much, so he quickly greeted with a bow, “Junior pays respect to the Spectral Fairy.”

Shen Hui and the Spirit God Clansmen followed suit.

Having acknowledged Chu Feng as their master, they would mirror Chu Feng’s stance. If Chu Feng didn’t pay respect to the Spectral Fairy, they wouldn’t do it either, despite knowing she was not to be trifled with. If Chu Feng wanted her dead, they would cooperate with him even if it spelled death.

“You may stand on ceremony. I’m satisfied with all of you. I shall pass on the power of the auxiliary formation to Xian Miaomiao, though it’s still up to her whether she can claim my legacy or not.”

The Spectral Fairy set her eyes on Chu Feng and smiled faintly. “You, in particular, are very commendable, but unfortunately, my legacy doesn’t suit you.”

The space around Chu Feng and the others warped once more. Before they knew it, their consciousness had returned to their bodies, and they were standing where they were before.

The red light shrouding them had returned to the auxiliary formation, and the auxiliary formation was finally pulling its weight, emanating incredible energy without anyone channeling it.

“Big brother.”

“C-C-Chu Feng.”

Little Fishy, Wang Qiang, and the others stood around Chu Feng, looking at him with worried eyes. Sensing their concern, Chu Feng said, “Don’t worry, I’m fine.”

The crowd breathed a sigh of relief.

Even though Chu Feng and the others were shaken earlier from being struck by the red needles, they recovered after returning to their bodies. There were no injuries on their bodies or their souls.

Soon, the tombstone began to glow.

Chu Feng and the others were overjoyed. This phenomenon only appeared whenever someone successfully inherits a tombstone’s legacy.

“It’s so close?” Chu Feng could now sense the location of the seventh star, and he was surprised by what he felt. He turned to Shen Hui and pointed out a general direction for her. “Shen Hui, scout this location.”

Shen Hui quickly turned the observation formation over.

Their next destination was not too far away. A red light had appeared amid empty space, and it grew larger until it covered every corner. Tombstone realms that stood in its way were devoured and turned red.

The red light originated from a massive congregation of flames resembling the sun... but that was not the sun but a tombstone. Unlike other eerie tombstones, this one was covered in flames and lightning that interweaved without clashing with each other.

“W-what’s that?”

The spectators outside were initially drawn to the phenomenon from Xian Miaomiao inheriting the Spectral Fairy’s legacy, but their attention was quickly stolen by the humongous tombstone imbued with flames and lightning.

How huge was the tombstone?

It was a hundred times larger than other tombstones. The other tombstones looked underwhelming compared to it.

“Chu Feng, what is that?” Huangfu Zhantian and the others turned to Chu Feng.

They also saw the tombstone realm through Shen Hui’s formation.

“It’s the final star,” Chu Feng replied.
