Chapter 6476: Dream On

Eggy, who had been sitting idly in Chu Feng’s World Spirit Space, leaped to her feet and prepared for battle. Things had gone awry. The other party knew Chu Feng’s identity.

“Leave this place and head westward. I’ll look for you later,” the woman sent another voice transmission over before leaving the place.

“What’s going on, Chu Feng? Do you know her?” Eggy asked.

“I don’t recognize that voice, but that person might have altered her voice. Regardless, let’s leave this place first.”

Chu Feng knew he would be in danger if his identity was exposed here, but since the other party didn’t expose him on the spot, there might be room for negotiation. He was curious to know what the other party was up to.

So, Chu Feng shook off the old Netherworld General, left the Netherworld Sect’s base, and headed westward as the woman had told him to.

“Chu Feng, who do you think it is?” Eggy asked.

“I have someone in mind, but I can’t confirm it,” Chu Feng replied.

“Who?”

Just then, Chu Feng felt a surge of killing intent coming from behind. It was from a rank nine True God level cultivator.

Without any hesitation, he activated his Lightning Mark, Lightning Armor, and Lightning Wings, raising his cultivation to rank nine True God level as well.

The killing intent finally reached him.

Chu Feng manifested a formation sword and held it horizontally before him with a single hand. There was nothing ahead of him initially, but as his sword got into position, the fabrics of space suddenly tore, and a God Armament gushed out and hacked on his formation sword.

This attack left a mark on the formation sword, and Chu Feng was sent skidding into the distance. The formation sword he manifested was not weak by any means, but it was lacking when faced against a comparable cultivator wielding a God Armament.

Chu Feng was aware of this. He had chosen not to draw his God Armament because he wasn’t planning on engaging the other party in a fight. He just wanted to know that woman’s identity.

“Who are you?” Chu Feng asked.

The attacker was none other than the woman who had sent a voice transmission to him earlier.

“Heh...” the woman sneered.

Her aura changed once more. She was still at rank nine True God level, but she gained heaven-defying battle power of one cultivation rank.

In response, Chu Feng activated his Lightning Aura to match the woman’s cultivation.

The woman wrapped her hands around her God Armament saber and charged at Chu Feng. She didn’t utilize any martial skills, but her attacks were aimed at Chu Feng’s vitals.

Chu Feng deflected her attacks with his formation sword.

The woman had a slender and short stature—she wasn’t even half as tall as her God Armament saber. However, her attacks were ferocious, and her fighting prowess was formidable.

“You still aren’t getting serious. You must be looking down on me,” the woman scoffed.

Chu Feng could have counterattacked, but he maintained his defensive posture because he wasn’t serious about this fight. This angered her.

“Who are you?” Chu Feng asked once more.

“We’ll talk once you defeat me.”

The woman wrapped her martial power around her God Armament saber, further raising the prowess of her attacks. She focused her attacks not on Chu Feng but his formation sword in hopes of shattering it.

But Chu Feng saw through her intent and retreated instead of facing her attack head on.

The woman immediately gave chase.

Shoosh!

Chu Feng suddenly hurled his formation sword at the woman like a dart.

The woman instinctively slashed her saber, slicing the formation sword apart.

But what awaited her behind the sliced formation sword was another sword thrusting toward her at an incredible speed.

“You’re still underestimating me?”

The woman immediately halted her advancement and retreated. That bought her enough time to deflect Chu Feng’s incoming attack with her God Armament saber.

But the next moment, she widened her eyes in shock.

Chu Feng’s sword shattered her God Armament saber and arrived before her neck. He was brandishing the Lightning Flame Sword, which was far superior to her God Armament saber.

But Chu Feng didn’t push on.

The woman was stunned. She eyed her shattered God Armament saber and angrily exclaimed, “You bastard Chu Feng! You have to compensate me for my God Armament!”

Chu Feng wasn’t surprised by her reaction. He stowed away his sword and dispelled the lightning around him.

“I knew it was you,” Chu Feng replied.

“Oh? How did you know?”

The woman took off her veiled bamboo hat, revealing her beautiful face.

“Ah, it’s that lass, Wen Xue.” Eggy breathed a sigh of relief.

Chu Feng had first met Wen Xue in the Purple Star Hall.

Back then, she was a demonic cultivation treasure that wielded special powers. She had infiltrated Chu Feng’s dantian in an attempt to devour his bloodline, only to be cornered by his bloodline. In the end, she had to leave her Life Soul in his body to escape.

In a stroke of coincidence, the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect’s sectmaster took her in as her disciple and named her Wen Xue.

Wen Xue was not a human.

She had existed for countless years now, but in her words, she had been granted a new lease of life. She was also a junior, one who was much younger than Chu Feng and Zi Ling.

She wielded special powers, too. Her energy carried incredible recovery potency.

Back when several Ancient Era’s races joined forces to attack the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect, Zi Ling was forced to break out of her closed-door cultivation to defend it. That nearly resulted in her death. It was thanks to Wen Xue’s help that Zi Ling survived the ordeal.

Later, Chu Feng had a psyche battle with Jie Tianran in the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s main city and became greatly weakened. Wen Xue intervened and helped him to swiftly recover, but she had to pay a heavy price for that.

Due to that, Chu Feng owed her a favor.

When Chu Feng and Zi Ling left the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect to compete for the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s main city’s key fragments, Wen Xue insisted on tagging along. However, when they arrived at the Immortal Sea Galaxy, she found a chance to slip away.

Chu Feng would have never expected Wen Xue to have joined the Netherworld Sect.

“How did you know it’s me, Junior Chu Feng?” Wen Xue asked in surprise.

“I’m confident in my disguise. I’m guessing you left something in me back when you treated me back then, and that was how you recognized me,” Chu Feng said.

The woman had the means to identify him, was willing to join the Netherworld Sect, but harbored enough goodwill toward him as to not rat him out... Of the people Chu Feng knew, the only person who fit the criteria other than Song Yun was Wen Xue.

“You talk as if I had been scheming against you. I had to fuse my bloodline power into you to treat you back then. That’s why I can sense you whenever you’re within a certain radius of me. How can you shatter the God Armament I obtained with great difficulty if you knew it was me? I don’t care. You have to compensate me!” Wen Xue looked at Chu Feng, aggrieved.

“Fine, I’ll compensate you.”

Chu Feng casually took out a God Armament saber and handed it to Wen Xue. There was no need for him to hesitate, as he had plenty of God Armaments with him. He was very generous here, giving her a ‘True’ character God Armament.

But Wen Xue pointed at Chu Feng’s Lightning Flame Sword and said, “I want this one.”

“Dream on,” Chu Feng replied.
