Chapter 6505: The Sectmaster Reappears

“Do you take me for a pushover?” Jie Tianran refused to back down. His eyes hardened in determination.

“Jie Tianran, it’s not worthwhile to use that here. You can settle the scores with him in the future. There’s no need to rush,” the old entity inside Jie Tianran’s body said.

“But the Ruler’s Bloodline is right in front of us.” Jie Tianran refused to concede.

His goal was not just the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s legacy but Chu Feng as well.

“He has the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s main city behind him. Are you confident that you can bring him down if he can tap into that remnant’s power as well?” the old entity asked.

Jie Tianran’s killing intent slowly faded.

“Old man, why don’t you kill him since you have already made a move? You’d only be giving him a chance to exact vengeance on you if you let him go now,” Eggy urged Sikong Changsheng.

“His character might be flawed, but he’s still Jie Ranqing’s father and Chu Feng’s grandfather,” Sikong Changsheng said.

“Consider him vermin. Elder, go ahead and kill him,” Chu Feng said.

Sikong Changsheng was rendered speechless.

Weng!

Powerful teleportation energy flowed from Jie Tianran’s body, completely disregarding Sikong Changsheng’s oppressive might to wrap everyone from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion.

In the blink of an eye, everyone from the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion vanished.

But Jie Tianran’s voice echoed, “Chu Feng, flee to the Ninth Galaxy if you’re frightened. A mere Sikong Changsheng can’t protect you if you remain here.”

Long Chengyu spat, “Aren’t you talking big despite being the one running away?”

Xia Xingchen piled on, “You’re even more shameless than that withered prune from the Heavenly Dome Immortal Sect!”

But Jie Tianran didn’t reply. He had already left and couldn’t hear their retorts.

“Chu Feng, come with me,” Sikong Changsheng said.

Teleportation energy enveloped Chu Feng and Eggy, and the duo were transported back into the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s main city. The outside remained illusory, but the main city looked the same as ever.

“Cough cough...” Sikong Changsheng clasped his mouth and coughed violently. His complexion paled, and fresh blood seeped through his fingers.

“What’s wrong, elder?” Chu Feng rushed forward and grabbed Sikong Changsheng’s wrist.

Much to his shock, Sikong Changsheng’s energies were in disarray. Even his bloodline was damaged. He was afflicted with many old injuries.

“I’m fine. It’s just an old ailment,” Sikong Changsheng replied with a smile. He took a pill and meditated for a while to recuperate. Slowly, his rampant energies calmed down, though he felt weaker than before.

“Chu Feng, it’s not that I don’t want to help you clear the obstacles in your way, but I don’t have the ability to do that right now. My soul and bloodline were impaired a long time ago, and that prevented me from using spirit power for a prolonged time. Otherwise, I would have gone to the Ninth Galaxy with the others instead of staying behind in the main city.

“All I can do is to intimidate Jie Tianran. I won’t be a match for him if we fight it out. Your grandfather isn’t as simple as he appears on the surface,” Sikong Changsheng said.

“Is it because of that old monster inside of him?” Chu Feng asked.

That old entity couldn’t do much inside the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant because they were limited to their consciousness, but who knew how powerful that old thing was in his main body?

“I can’t tell for sure, but that one is tricky as well,” Sikong Changsheng replied.

“Don’t worry, elder. I’ll deal with them myself.”

“Mm. That will be for the best. Chu Feng, I have already handed the legacy to you. You should hurry up and grasp it.”

Chu Feng grinned. “Elder, I thought you weren’t going to give this legacy to me?”

“Why would I give it to that outsider instead of you? Cut the crap and quickly study it,” Sikong Changsheng urged.

“All right.”

Chu Feng sat down with crossed legs. He might have acquired the legacy, but it would only be useful if he could comprehend it.

Weng!

The energy shrouding Chu Feng suddenly transformed. A black aura appeared out of nowhere and surged toward Eggy like a shooting star before revolving around her.

Sikong Changsheng’s eyebrows shot up.

“Elder, is this part of the legacy as well?” Chu Feng asked.

“It appears so.” Sikong Changsheng sounded unsure.

“Eggy?” Chu Feng couldn’t decipher the energy revolving around Eggy, but he had a feeling she would have a better sense of it.

“It is a legacy, but it’s an unusual one. Come, let’s do it together,” Eggy said with a sweet smile as she sat down and began cultivating.

“All right.”

Chu Feng formed a hand seal, closed his eyes, and began cultivating.

Thus, the energies revolving around Chu Feng and Eggy began to fuse into them. Once they fully absorbed the energies, the legacy would be theirs.

Sikong Changsheng looked at the black aura revolving around Eggy with complicated eyes.

Just then, a voice echoed in Sikong Changsheng’s ears. “You have done well to hand the legacy to Chu Feng.”

Sikong Changsheng was overjoyed to hear the voice. He quickly flitted to the depths of the main city, where he was met with a familiar figure—Shangguan Fengquan.

She was still a soul entity, but her body was nowhere as thin as it appeared before.

“Lord Sectmaster, you...”

“The Dragon Prison Orb,” Shangguang Fengquan interjected.

As soon as Sikong Changsheng took out the Dragon Prison Orb, he was transported into the realm inside the orb and into the dragon lair, where the true dragon’s fragmented consciousness was right in front of him.

He wasn’t capable of moving that quickly. It was Shangguan Fengquan dragging him along.

“Hm?”

The true dragon’s fragmented consciousness was surprised to see Shangguan Fengquan, but its eyes soon twisted in malevolence. “Lass, you must be tired of living. Do you think I’d give you a second chance?”

It picked up the dragon orb and took a huge whiff from it. Energy flowed visibly from the dragon orb into its body.

An instant later, the dragon lair glowed with incredible radiance. Waves of dragon aura seeped from the walls of the lair and gushed into the true dragon’s fragmented consciousness.

The true dragon’s fragmented consciousness grew larger, and its intangible body grew corporeal. Its power also visibly grew.

This time, the true dragon’s fragmented consciousness didn’t hold back. It was exerting its full prowess.

The overwhelming power emanated by it made Sikong Changsheng succumb to despair.

“Is that your limit, dumb dragon? I’m terribly disappointed.”

But Shangguan Fengquan reacted with scorn.
