Chapter 6515: The Cheeky Senior Sister
Wen Xue was nowhere to be found when Chu Feng arrived. Instead, a nearby commotion caught his attention.
A large group of people from different factions was gathered together.
Among them, an old man with a pockmarked face spat, “The bastard Netherworld Sect thinks that they are the masters of the Bloodline Galaxy now, doing as they please here. Those scum caused my cultivation speed to slow down by so much. They should pray that they never fall into my hands, or else I’m going to pull out their tendons and skin them alive! I’d eat their meat as well, but I bet beasts like them have sour meat!”
The crowd burst into laughter.
They were talking about the Undying Starfield. By now, they had already learned about the relationship between the Undying Starfield and the Netherworld Sect, as well as the fact that the Undying Starfield had been siphoning energy away from the Bloodline Galaxy.
They had noticed a slowdown in their cultivation speed in recent years, much to their distress. Who could have thought it would be due to the Netherworld Sect stealing their natural energies? That was as good as robbing the potential of the Bloodline Galaxy’s cultivators!
Even so, they only dared to grumble. None dared to confront the Netherworld Sect. The only thing they would do was to leave the Bloodline Galaxy and develop elsewhere.
“You’re slow, junior,” a voice echoed.
Shockingly, it was from the pockmarked old man who berated the Netherworld Sect with great anger. He parted ways from the crowd and flew away.
Chu Feng quickly followed that old man.
Once there was no one else around them, the pockmarked old man waved his sleeves and shrouded the two of them in an isolation barrier.
“Senior.”
Chu Feng was certain the pockmarked old man was Wen Xue.
“It’s me,” Wen Xue turned around and replied.
“Why did you transform into this look?”
Chu Feng was taken aback by Wen Xue’s means. He couldn’t sense Wen Xue’s aura at all even now when he was right in front of her. Her ability to disguise herself was extraordinary.
“I am now a traitor of the Netherworld Sect. They have put a bounty on me. If I don’t disguise myself, should I sit around and wait for them to capture me instead?” Wen Xue asked.
Those words made sense, so Chu Feng changed the topic and remarked, “You came back fast.”
“That’s because I’m efficient.”
“Does that mean that you have found a way to enter the Undying Starfield?’
“Of course,” Wen Xue replied gleefully.
“How?” Chu Feng’s interest was piqued.
“Wear this.”
Wen Xue took out two sets of Netherworld Sect’s robes and bamboo veil hats.
“That’s all?” Chu Feng asked.
“Yup, that’s all.”
“But there’s a sealing formation around the Undying Starfield. Normal Netherworld Sectmembers can’t pass through the formation except through specific entrances.”
“Don’t you trust me?”
“Well... You didn’t help me in my fight against Jie Tianran inside the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant when you were capable of doing so. I still remember that clearly.”
“Tsk. Are you bringing up old scores now? Just trust me. It’ll work.”
“Fine.”
Chu Feng put on the Netherworld Sect’s clothes.
“All right. Let’s go,” Wen Xue said.
She dispelled the isolation barrier and concealed the two of them.
Just as Wen Xue was about to move, Chu Feng asked, “Senior, where are we heading to?”
“A teleportation formation, of course. We’re still some distance away from the Undying Starfield. It’d be too slow to travel there manually,” Wen Xue replied.
“There’s no need for that. I have something good,” Chu Feng said as he took out Qin Jiu’s bamboo boat. That was the gift he had just received from Sikong Changsheng.
“Woah! You have something this good?” Wen Xue exclaimed the moment she saw the boat.
“I just obtained it.”
“What else did you get? Let me open my eyes.”
“Spirit power.”
Chu Feng revealed his spirit power.
“No way. Rank nine True Dragon?”
Wen Xue’s eyes nearly bulged out as she punched Chu Feng’s arm. She didn’t hold back her strength. Chu Feng groaned in pain.
“What are you doing, senior?” Chu Feng rubbed his arm as he complained.
“You complained about me being untrustworthy, but aren’t you the same too? You hid your spirit power from me. You liar!” Wen Xue complained.
“I didn’t hide it,” Chu Feng replied.
“Are you seriously telling me that you made a breakthrough to rank nine True Dragon in the short span while you’re away?”
“It sounds shocking, but it’ll make perfect sense once you hear my story.”
Chu Feng told Wen Xue about what he had been through in the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s main city.
“That makes a bit more sense now, but it still sounds ridiculous,” Wen Xue grumbled.
She quickly thought of something and began touching Chu Feng all around.
“What are you doing, senior?” Chu Feng was flustered.
“Junior, don’t you think you’re being too reckless with your breakthroughs? Let me check if that left any detrimental side effects on your body,” Wen Xue said with a grin.
Those words would have been more convincing if Wen Xue didn’t have a mischievous smile on, which signalled that she was up to no good.
“Stop messing around, senior. There’s more important matters at hand,” Chu Feng urged.
“Fine. I lack charm, and my junior isn’t drawn to women. That’s why other things are more important than this,” Wen Xue grumbled in dissatisfaction while boarding the bamboo boat.
Chu Feng channeled the bamboo boat, and it began to move.
“Milord, it’s not me! It’s not me! I was framed! Noooooo~~”
Cries of misery echoed from the surroundings.
Fights and deaths were commonplace in the world of cultivation. With Chu Feng’s sharp senses, he could easily pick up on all sorts of noises in his surroundings. He usually paid no attention to them, but this time, he looked over out of curiosity.
A pockmarked old man was lying on the ground, being beaten up by a group of Netherworld Sectmembers.
“You said that you’ll rip out our tendons and skin us alive? Try it then!”
The Netherworld Sectmembers struck the pockmarked old man with a thorned whip, leaving bloody gashes on his back. The pockmarked old man soon lost even the energy to scream, and it looked like he was on the verge of breathing his last.
Chu Feng recognized the pockmarked old man to be the same person Wen Xue had disguised herself as earlier.
“Senior, I thought that was just a random disguise,” Chu Feng asked.
“Of course not. That old man is a terrible person who commits all kinds of atrocities. I’m merely delivering justice to him,” Wen Xue replied with a cheeky grin.
That confirmed it.
Wen Xue had publicly insulted the Netherworld Sect not just to vent her anger but also to scheme against this old man. The old man likely deserved his punishment, since Wen Xue had said so.
