“Yes, I can sense its position through the Monster Slayer Sword, but it might not be easy to reach it.”

As he sensed the location of the legacy, Chu Feng could also see with his eyes the arduous feat he had to undertake in order to reach it.

The Undying Starfield had been remodeled by powerful formations.

There were dark red light paths that could accelerate one’s movement speed to a level surpassing teleportation formation. However, all other locations aside from those that could be reached via these dark red light paths had been sealed off.

Chu Feng couldn’t unravel the seal with his current strength.

It just so happened that the Flowersea Ordinary Realm was located in a sealed region.

“Junior, where should we head to?” Wen Xue asked.

She was here to help Chu Feng acquire his legacy, so she was ready to listen to his dispatch.

“The area I want to head to has been sealed off,” Chu Feng relayed his observations to Wen Xue and Eggy.

“Not even a rank nine True Dragon World Spiritist like you can breach the seal?” Wen Xue asked.

“That’s no simple spirit power. It’s linked to a treasure. On top of that, I fear that I’d be discovered as soon as I attempt to breach it,” Chu Feng replied.

“Is that formation that formidable? Is it linked to that sacred item?” Wen Xue asked.

“Most likely so.”

Chu Feng looked at the dark red energy suffusing the starfield. It gave off an eerie feeling reminiscent of the Netherworld Embryo, but it was stronger and more unnerving.

“What should we do? Should we retreat? They might give up on the Undying Starfield once they awaken their sacred item. It’s not too late for us to return and retrieve the legacy then,” Wen Xue said.

“I don’t think the sacred item could have modified the Undying Starfield to this extent. The Netherworld Sect or the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion probably channeled the sacred item to achieve this effect. If I can come into contact with the sacred item, I should be able to alter its properties,” Chu Feng said.

“I know where the sacred item is,” Wen Xue said.

“I’ll be counting on you to lead me there,” Chu Feng replied with a grin.

The sacred item was very discreetly hidden. It would take him some time if he had to find it manually. He could opt to use the Three Realms Divine Eyes, but it was a borrowed power that would eventually run out. It would be best to only use it when absolutely necessary.

So, Chu Feng followed Wen Xue.

Even though the dark red light paths greatly accelerated one’s movement speed, it still took some time to travel across a starfield.

In the meantime, Wen Xue asked, “Junior Chu Feng, when do you plan to head to the Ninth Galaxy?”

“I want to find my friends and family first. What about you, senior?”

“I’ll be heading there once you acquire what you want here. Don’t miss me too much,” Wen Xue replied with a grin.

“God’s Era is about to open again. Aren’t you interested in it?”

“I am not a junior anymore.”

“You aren’t?”

“What I mean is that I’m not a junior in the truest sense of the word. I heard God’s Era’s power can only be obtained by a junior.”

“You never know for sure. I’m always skeptical about such prophecies.”

“You can just tell me that you miss me and don’t want me to leave. I’ll probably return to the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect one last time and bid a farewell to my master first,” Wen Xue replied.

“I’ll accompany you,” Chu Feng offered.

“There’s no need for that. You’re a busy man. Go do whatever you need to do instead.”

The two of them chatted a lot along the way, starting with questions about the Netherworld Sect. Even though they had Wuma Hanshuang as a shield, Chu Feng was still worried that they might bump into higher-ups along the way. He would give them away if he couldn’t aptly answer their questions.

Chu Feng needed to come up with a reasonable identity.

Thankfully, the Netherworld Sect was not tight-knit. Most sectmembers were left to their own devices, and only the outstanding ones were noticed by the higher-ups. This was helpful to Chu Feng in coming up with his identity.

After settling their agenda, the rest was all idle chatter.

Chu Feng’s impression of Wen Xue had changed after their encounter at the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant. He let his guard down around her and thought of her as a true friend. It might have just been idle chatter, but he still enjoyed the conversation.

As they ventured deeper into the starfield, they spotted more Netherworld Sectmembers. All of them stood guard vigilantly.

“Looks like we’re drawing close?” Chu Feng asked Wen Xue.

“We should be arriving soon,” Wen Xue replied.

A powerful surge of spirit power suddenly flew past Chu Feng. It was a visible pulse, flying past them and speeding off into the distance. It looked as if it would envelop the entire starfield.

“Looks like the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion has successfully constructed their detection formation based on the Netherworld Embryo,” Wen Xue said.

“Indeed.” Chu Feng could tell as much.

All of a sudden, a burst of killing intent could be felt in the distance.

A teleportation gate appeared not too far away, and an army of experts dashed out and rushed in Chu Feng and Wen Xue’s direction.

“Senior, did they see through us?” Chu Feng’s heart clenched up.

“That shouldn’t be! We have Netherworld Embryos in us.” Wen Xue was unsure about what was going on as well. “Don’t worry. We should be fine even if they have discovered us.”

Soon, Chu Feng and Wen Xue realized that those people weren’t after them. They flew off using the dark red light path and headed elsewhere.

“See, I told you we’re safe. We have Netherworld Embryos inside us, after all,” Wen Xue said.

“It looks like something has happened. Let’s take a look,” Chu Feng said.

So, the two of them followed the army of experts and soon heard fighting sounds. From the ruckus and the shockwaves, they could tell that it was a huge battle involving many cultivators.

“It seems like intruders have slipped into the Undying Starfield, and they are fairly powerful,” Wen Xue said.

Despite being some distance away, they could deduce from the shockwaves that the intruders were Heavenly God level cultivators. On top of that, they weren’t just rank one Heavenly Gods.

“They don’t seem like normal cultivators.”

They got a closer glimpse of what was going on as they approached the battlefield.

One of them wielded a powerful and terrifying black aura. This was not a usual cultivator skill, and it wasn’t the Netherworld Sect’s means.

Wen Xue was excited. She relished in such commotions.

“That aura!”

Looking at the raging black aura and the spirit power, Chu Feng suddenly realized something and sped up. Soon, he saw the master of the black aura.

It was a beautiful woman dressed in a blue skirt. She gave off an air of coldness, but her face was warped in savagery. She was a rank four Heavenly God level cultivator.

She was accompanied by a man, who was constructing formations to ward off the experts surrounding them. He was a rank two Heavenly Dragon World Spiritist.

“Chu Feng, isn’t that the Black-feathered Specter and Bai Yunqing? Are they having their date here?” Eggy exclaimed in astonishment.

Her words were intended as a joke, but those two were indeed Li Wu and Bai Yunqing.
