Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 5051: Stunned

Chapter 5051: Stunned

Seeing Mi’er dash toward the kitchen, Feng Jiu raised an eyebrow and glanced at the Cheng family members. Her gaze swept over the Cheng family patriarch, the several elders stripped of their cultivation, and the guards before she asked, “Where is your Patriarch?”

The Cheng family Old Predecessor froze, only now realizing that Cheng Wanshan was missing. Recalling the commotion from the kitchen and the absence of Cheng Wanshan, his face instantly drained of color. He shouted in alarm, “Where is Cheng Wanshan? Where did he go?”

Behind him, cold sweat seeped through his clothes as his heart sank.

Please, let it not be what he feared…

“My lady, Little Qi is gone. A bowl fell on the kitchen floor—it was the dish I served her just before coming out. The kitchen window was open; she must have been kidnapped through it,” Mi’er said, her face filled with self-reproach.

It was all her fault for not watching her closely, leaving her alone in the kitchen.

Hao’er and Muchen exchanged a glance, then stood silently beside their Mother.

Feng Jiu sipped her tea before rising. “Then we must go to the Cheng residence! Barring any surprises, she should be there.” Her voice paused as her clear eyes shifted to the ashen-faced Cheng family Old Predecessor. A cold smile touched her lips. “Wouldn’t you agree?”

The Cheng patriarch knelt with a thud. ” My lady sees clearly. We truly know nothing. I’ll return immediately. If Cheng Wanshan is indeed responsible, I… I will personally kill him!”

“Doubt you have the guts,” Feng Jiu remarked coolly, glancing at him before adding, “Shall we proceed?” She no longer worried about her three children. She trusted they could handle any danger themselves.

“Yes, yes.”

The Cheng family Old Predecessor hurriedly rose and led her toward the Cheng residence. At that moment, he despised Cheng Wanshan with every fiber of his being. If Cheng Wanshan was indeed responsible, such actions would render all their efforts utterly wasted. His sole hope now was that Cheng Wanshan hadn’t harmed the little girl. If he had, every member of the Cheng family would pay with their lives.

The patriarch personally escorted her to the Cheng residence, with Mi’er, Hao’er, and Muchen following behind. Yet, as the patriarch hurried to the front gate, a piercing scream erupted from within.

“Aah…”

“Roar!”

The screams were followed by a furious beastly roar. The sound carried the overwhelming pressure of a Sacred Beast, stunning the entire Cheng family into silence.

Especially the guards in the front courtyard. Their eyes widened in shock as they stared at the seemingly innocent little girl. Who could have imagined she would smile sweetly and summon a Sacred Beast? And to bite off the Patriarch’s leg while he was completely unprepared?

Gazing at the blood-soaked leg flung aside, then at the little girl standing nearby with an innocent, pure expression, everyone felt a chill run down their spines, their hair standing on end.

Before they even reached the door, Feng Jiu heard voices inside. Unsurprised, she arched an eyebrow, the corners of her lips curving into a faint, almost imperceptible smile.

Her daughter, Feng Jiu’s daughter, was no soft target for anyone to push around.

Behind her, Hao’er and Muchen wore equally calm, detached expressions. Clearly, they too had anticipated this very scene.

Only Mi’er hesitated for a moment, finally letting out a sigh of relief.

The Cheng family Old Predecessor abruptly pushed open the door and stepped inside, only to be stunned by the scene that met his eyes.
