"Good. We’ve learned much during our travels these past years and lived a fulfilling life," Zhao Yang said. Though his voice sounded calm and steady, the excitement in his heart and the joy in his eyes were impossible to hide.
"That’s good," Feng Jiu nodded, then turned to Feng Ye. A faint smile touched her lips as she spoke with a hint of teasing, "Uncle Feng Ye?"
"Hehehe..."
Hearing this, Feng Ye’s hair stood on end. He gave an awkward laugh and quickly said, "Ah Jiu, just call me Feng Ye. No need for ’Little Uncle.’ That gives me the creeps."
While it was true he was her uncle, in her presence he couldn’t muster even a shred of an uncle’s authority. Instead, ever since childhood, he’d harbored a deep-seated reverence whenever he saw her. Though senior in generation, he was younger in age, and her use of "Little Uncle" made his heart flutter.
"Since we’re here, let’s head back to the manor first!" Feng Jiu stood up and addressed Wanyan Qianhua and the others, "You may stay here a while longer. I need to go check on Mo Ze."
"Alright, you go ahead. We’ll return later," Wanyan Qianhua replied.
"Mhm." Feng Jiu nodded, then turned to Feng Ye and Zhao Yang. "You two, come back with me."
"Understood." The two dared not say more, simply agreeing immediately. After bidding farewell to the others, they followed Feng Jiu back first.
Du Fan, Leng Shuang, Leng Hua, and several others returned with them, while the rest remained behind.
After arriving at the residence, Feng Jiu took them to see Mo Ze. Then, seated in the courtyard, she began inquiring about their experiences over the years.
After listening to their stories, she paused briefly before saying, "Actually, I intended to take you to the Upper Immortal Realm for cultivation on this trip. What do you think?"
Surprised, the two asked, "Can we really go?"
"Yes," Feng Jiu replied. "I’ve now broken through the void barrier and discovered a way to traverse it. If you wish, I can take you there—though this still requires Grandfather and the others’ approval." She looked at them and continued, "Both of you possess extraordinary talent. Even in the Upper Immortal Realm, you would stand out as exceptional. Cultivating there would undoubtedly be beneficial for you."
Hearing this, the two exchanged glances and declared in unison, "We want to go!"
Feng Jiu smiled. "Stay here for the next few days. Soon, I’ll take you back to the Feng family ancestral home."
"Alright." Both beamed with delight, then asked, "Are the people in the Upper Immortal Realm all incredibly powerful? Are their abilities truly formidable?"
"Some are strong, some are weak. The difference is that some are born with divine essence, starting from a higher baseline than others." She spoke slowly. Seeing their curious expressions, she added, "You’ll understand this once you go there. I’ll have Leng Shuang instruct the kitchen to prepare some food for you. Now, go rest well."
"Yes." They responded, then followed Leng Shuang out.
After they departed, Du Fan, standing nearby, asked, "Master, Hell’s Lord hasn’t awakened yet. Should we take him to the Feng family’s ancestral home when the time comes?"
Feng Jiu rose to her feet and began pacing the courtyard. "I checked on him when I went in earlier," she said. "The aura of his divine soul power has grown significantly stronger. I have a feeling he’ll awaken within the next few days."
