Chapter 1177: Tell Us About It
Chapter 1177: Tell Us About It
As everyone vanished, Anthony himself appeared within the Null Family Estate, his figure materializing inside his room. The moment he appeared, he sighed and dropped face-first onto the bed as though he were just some random school kid who had come back from a sleep-inducing mathematics class.
He had just killed the Demon King and a God, and here he was, lying on his bed as though he were just some random person.
Anthony rolled onto his back, his sky-blue eyes meeting the ceiling as he stared at it blankly for a moment. Then, the next instant, his mind began to map out the things he needed to do.
First things first, visit Vega and see how she was doing. After all, she had just come out of closed-door seclusion, and he had forcefully teleported her to the battlefield and then back to her parents’ estate without even speaking to her once. Although Vega wouldn’t mind, as she would never want to miss such a major event in her life, as she usually called them, Anthony still felt it was wrong, so he was going to apologize when he visited, even if Vega didn’t care.
After that, he would take her, and together they would visit Aaaninja, Lucian, Kingsley, and Aura Nova, and there he would talk about Ascension and the Human Bloodline.
As Anthony thought of that, his mind immediately flickered to Lucian Darkheart. When Anthony had returned to erase the remaining Demons and Angels and then heal the wounded, he had sensed it clearly; Lucian’s Human Bloodline was evolving ever so slowly.
Anthony had looked deeply into it at the time, but the only explanation he found was that Lucian’s Bloodline was naturally evolving on its own.
But that wasn’t the case. No, Lucian’s Bloodline evolution was the result of his system. Lucian’s system had spoken about deciphering things and boosting Lucian, and the Bloodline evolution was simply one aspect of that. But naturally, the Bloodline evolution wasn’t supposed to be so slow. It was just that the system was deliberately delaying and suppressing it, as it had informed Lucian that he couldn’t receive the things it had deciphered during the Galactical War.
After all, one couldn’t expect Lucian to upgrade his Bloodline during the battle, right?
He would simply be killed on the spot by Demons, Angels capitalizing on the opportunity, or even other Humans driven by greed, which was why such things required privacy, security, and utmost secrecy until they were completed.
So, at this moment, Anthony only needed to help Aura Nova and Kingsley. Although he wondered if Aura Nova could simply use her Root Access Mode to upgrade her own Bloodline, while Kingsley would receive a blessing from the Universe itself. After all, if the Universe could intervene and bring him back to life, then surely a Bloodline upgrade was nothing to it.
Well, after that, he and everyone else would choose an Ascension date that wasn’t too far away, yet not too soon either, giving them enough time to say goodbye to everyone while breaking the news of their departure into the great unknown. After all, not everyone was Anthony, who could simply upgrade his parents and have them ascend alongside him.
Anthony didn’t really have anyone to say goodbye to. If there was anyone, it would only be his military teammates, Reynold, and the rest. As for the Supreme Monarchs and the Overlords, certainly not. Although he might visit Overlord Raelith and leave the man a gift that could help him become stronger in terms of Katana Arts.
Then, after that, they would ascend.
With that plan in mind, Anthony decided to carry out the first phase; visiting Vega at her parents’ house. But first, he needed to shower and wash away the mental fatigue that came with the battle he had just finished, even though he wasn’t exactly mentally exhausted.
The moment he rose to his feet, Anthony sensed Sword Intent tear through space as a rift opened up, and through it, Michael, Mitchelle, Irene, and Collins stepped out with calm expressions.
"Going somewhere? Or is this the wrong timing?" Mitchelle asked as Anthony seemed as though he was about to do something before their arrival.
"Not at all," Anthony replied as he sat back down on his bed, as it seemed visiting Vega would have to wait for a few more minutes.
"How was your battle against the Demon King and God?" Irene asked as she walked over to him and sat beside Anthony.
Although Anthony was now taller than her, standing at seven foot two while she was only six foot five, she didn’t exactly care.
Anthony couldn’t help but smile at the question. Although they didn’t say it outright, he understood that was the sole reason they had come. It reminded him that no matter how powerful he was or appeared before others, his parents and grandparents would always care for him and worry after every major battle.
"It was fine," Anthony spoke with a smile. "If you’re worried about any hidden tricks pulled by the King of Demons, then you don’t need to worry. Besides, although it was a two-versus-one battle, even both of them working together couldn’t make me bleed." His tone carried nothing but the truth.
Anthony wanted to say that he was now strong enough to obliterate a portion of the Galaxy, but he didn’t. There was no need. He would soon lose that power, or rather, once he reached the Upper Galaxy, his power would adjust to their power system.
"Tell us about it," Michael spoke with a smile as he genuinely wanted to know at what level the Demon King existed. After all, he had easily handled the Rank One subordinate under the Demon King. How much stronger could the Demon King possibly have been?
Anthony stared at his father, then smiled as he replied, "As you wish." His tone was calm.
And with that, he snapped his fingers as he wove an illusion before everyone’s eyes. Why explain with words when he could simply show them?
And with that, the day of Ascension drew closer and closer.
