Chapter 1196: Meowing Planet
Chapter 1196: Meowing Planet
Anthony stared at the three people before him and spoke, “Well, since that is done, I guess it’s time I get going,” his tone calm.
Lucian and Kingsley simply nodded, as they had nothing else to discuss with Anthony. They would all meet up again in a month, unless something else came up before then.
“Your girlfriend, Vega, still has my cat though,” Aura Nova stated, reminding Anthony that Vega had left with Akira.
Anthony paused for a moment before speaking. “I’m sure you know Akira can return on her own. Besides, Vega said she wanted you to give her a tour of your Dusk Planet, so I’m sure she’ll be back in a few hours at most. Nobody loves exploring new planets more than her,” he explained.
Aura Nova nodded and said nothing more. If Akira didn’t return within a few hours, then she would simply teleport to her.
Anthony’s eyes shone slightly as his gaze crossed countless light-years, focusing on a particular planet. And on this planet were… cats. It was an entire civilization inhabited solely by cats.
‘Where does Vega even find these kinds of planets?’ Anthony mused to himself.
He understood that Vega had explored the Acarnis Galaxy alongside Klaus and Amara when she was little, but discovering an entire planet dedicated exclusively to cats was simply on another level.
“Well, if it puts your mind at ease, Vega took Akira to a planet that’s no different from an entire civilization of cats, and Akira seems to be having a lot of fun,” Anthony explained. “You can ask Vega for the coordinates to the planet when she returns.”
Aura Nova nodded without saying anything further.
“See you guys in a month’s time,” Anthony stated before vanishing from where he stood, leaving the Barren Planet.
Lucian gazed at Aura Nova and Kingsley before speaking. “I have to help Veronica with her training. See you all later.”
With a smile on his face, a portal tore open before him, and he stepped through it.
Aura Nova gazed at Kingsley and asked, “Do you need a portal back to the Blue Planet?”
She knew Kingsley couldn’t use any form of energy, so she was simply trying to help.
“No need, thank you,” Kingsley replied before turning in another direction. Space shattered beneath a single punch from him as he forcefully tore it open and calmly stepped through it.
Aura Nova sighed as she shook her head. Then a smile appeared on her lips. It was finally time to test just how absurd her new talent truly was. She even planned on telling Rain about it afterward. Without wasting another second, she vanished from where she stood.
Light-years away from both the Dusk Planet and the Blue Planet, on the world known as the Meowing Planet, a pure white cat with blue eyes appeared beside another purple cat. They were Anthony and Vega.
“Aura Nova is worried about her cat, you know,” Anthony spoke as he stared down at Akira from the building he and Vega were sitting atop. Since the Meowing Planet accepted only cats, they had changed their forms into cats.
“But she seems to be having fun,” Vega, the purple cat, replied, her eyes never leaving Akira.
“How did everything go?” Vega asked, smoothly changing the topic.
Anthony gazed around the planet, taking in the peaceful surroundings before replying, “It went perfectly well. Aura Nova received the Supreme Grade, and Kingsley received the Perfect Grade from the Universe itself,” he stated as he explained the situation.
Vega nodded and said nothing more.
“I guess we should spend as much time together as possible before the one month we agreed upon comes to an end,” Vega stated, her eyes shifting toward another cat that was happily playing with Akira.
Anthony remained silent for a moment before replying, “No amount of time we spend together within this one month will stop me from missing you or ease the thought of us being apart,” his tone gentle.
“Sigh… that’s true. I’ve fallen so madly in love that I’m actually second-guessing my adventure plans,” Vega spoke as she lay lazily on the ground like any ordinary cat would, her ears completely relaxed.
“Although I’d love to take advantage of your second thoughts and convince you to change your decision… alas, I’m not that wicked or sinister,” Anthony replied as he shifted onto his side.
Vega smiled before speaking. “How many people do you still have to say goodbye to before your Ascension?”
“Not many. Just Seraphim, Reynold, and Dale, since they’re the only three from our team who won’t be ascending,” Anthony replied as the gentle wind caressed his feline body.
Vega purred softly for a moment before asking, “When are you planning on telling them?”
“The moment I leave this planet. I’m only here to check on you and Akira, and also ask you to return her,” Anthony explained. “Besides, I have no reason to delay telling them. Once I do, I’m going to spend my remaining days lazing around, sleeping, eating, and watching movies. After all, who knows whether I’ll even be able to do any of that after the Ascension? We’ll have to grow stronger all over again.”
As he spoke, he rose to his feet and stretched in a distinctly cat-like manner.
‘Cats really do have it easy. With a body like this, no wonder they can spend the whole day lazing around doing absolutely nothing,’ Anthony mused to himself.
“Since you’re already telling them, then I don’t have to,” Vega stated flatly. “And it seems I don’t really have anyone I need to break the news of my Ascension to.”
Although she knew that Donna, Vivian, and Evelyn weren’t ascending yet, she wasn’t exactly going to say goodbye to them, as they would eventually make their way to the Upper Galaxies as well. Throughout her entire life, Veronica had been her only true friend. But Vega was certain Veronica would receive the news from Lucian today. Besides, she was confident Veronica would eventually reach the Upper Galaxies too.
“You could always visit Seraphim and the others to say goodbye. It doesn’t have to be about breaking the news of your Ascension or anything like that,” Anthony suggested as he walked forward, gently kissed Vega on the head, looked at Akira one final time, said goodbye to Vega, and then vanished from the Meowing Planet.
