Chapter 1221: Laws

Chapter 1221: Laws

Nathaniel didn’t believe the Perfect Grade Bloodline was what made Anthony so outrageously talented. After all, even those born with a Perfect Grade Bloodline within the Upper Realm didn’t immediately gain such proficient control over Origin Essence after coming into contact with it just once. But Anthony had done exactly that. That alone was all the proof Nathaniel needed to know Anthony was who he was not because of the Perfect Grade Bloodline.

“At least now I don’t have to burn through the resources I spent ages gathering,” the Sword Ruler said with a sigh, shaking his head as though he was gradually getting used to this ridiculous descendant of his.

Anthony smiled and replied, “Thank you for at least having the thought and intention of spending such resources on me,” his tone sincere.

After all, they had only met a little over two hours ago, and yet the man had already planned to give him a Perfect Grade Bloodline. How could Anthony not be touched?

He didn’t bother asking the Founder which Bloodline Grade he possessed, as he knew he too had the Perfect Grade.

“Can I ask if there is anyone with a Primordial Bloodline Grade, or at least any rumours of it?” Anthony asked as he moved.

Although he knew only one person could possess the Primordial Bloodline Grade at a time, and Klaus already possessed it, he still asked.

“You want to search for it or make that your goal?” Nathaniel asked as he arched an eyebrow.

“Not really. I know such a thing is impossible to acquire, so I won’t even bother,” Anthony replied with a shrug.

“Good. I was about to knock some sense into your head,” Nathaniel stated with a nod.

Anthony simply smiled and said nothing more.

“As for rumours, they obviously exist. There is even a list of possible places where it could be hidden, although those who venture into such places barely come back alive, as ninety-seven percent of them always end up dead,” Nathaniel began to speak again. “But it doesn’t stop a few fools from still going, thinking they will be more careful than the last,” he shook his head as he spoke.

Anthony stayed silent for a moment before asking, “Aren’t you tempted to check those places out?”

“I’m not,” Nathaniel replied without missing a beat. “Unless I receive information that is beyond every reasonable doubt proving such a treasure is hidden in a particular location, then I will risk my life and head there. But risking my life over mere uncertainty? No thanks,” he stated without hiding his thoughts.

“I see,” Anthony replied with a smile as he continued moving.

Nathaniel stared at Anthony for a moment before speaking. “You know something, don’t you?” his eyes narrowing.

Anthony wanted to deny it, but old people weren’t exactly easy to deceive once they became suspicious. So instead of outright denying that he knew anything, he answered.

“The ancient civilization ruin I found talked about it. It said the holder of the Primordial Bloodline Grade could recreate the Human Race if it ever fell. Also, the records stated that only one person could possess such a Bloodline. Meaning, for all we know, someone out there could already possess it, and nobody would have any means of knowing,” Anthony replied with a calm expression.

Although he knew Klaus possessed the Primordial Grade, it didn’t mean Anthony planned on going around announcing it to everyone. His parents and grandparents knew because they already knew Klaus to a certain extent. But as for anyone else, it was entirely up to Klaus whether he chose to reveal such information.

“Only one person, huh? That’s certainly new information. No wonder you said you aren’t interested enough to search for it,” Nathaniel remarked.

“Does it speak about the last holder?” he asked, knowing that would be a tremendous lead.

“It does. But the name had been cut off from the scroll, and of course I tried various methods to restore it, but to no avail. Then, the moment I left the ruins with the scroll, it burned to ashes, almost as though it had some kind of protective mechanism,” Anthony replied, lying flawlessly.

Nathaniel simply decided to forget the matter altogether, reasoning that someone else might have already beaten them to whatever lead had once existed.

“Since you shared such crucial information, I’ll answer your earlier question, as I know you’re eager to find out. Although you’ll still learn the complete answer from the Heavenly Library,” Nathaniel began.

Anthony knew the man was referring to his question about how the Asura had blocked his regeneration.

“The Asura simply blocked your regeneration through the use of Laws,” Nathaniel stated with a calm expression.

At those words, Anthony’s eyes flickered for a brief moment as he finally received his answer.

“Within our Realm, Laws are one of the greatest sources of power and strength. Naturally, Laws also have their own grades, such as Minor Laws, Greater Laws, Unique Laws, and Universal Laws,” Nathaniel explained, his tone remaining calm.

He turned towards Anthony before asking, “Back on the Blue Planet, did you have an affinity for any elements? Although I’m going to retest your affinities now that your Class restrictions have been lifted.”

“I have an affinity for all elements,” Anthony replied calmly.

Nathaniel stared at Anthony, wondering whether the boy was subtly bragging. In the end, he merely sighed and shook his head, reminding himself that he had been the one who asked the question.

“What was your Class?” he asked.

“Magic Swordsman,” Anthony answered.

“I see…” Nathaniel murmured.

“Anyway, elements like Fire, Water, and the rest all fall under Minor Laws… Well, I shouldn’t waste my saliva. You’ll read all about it once you arrive at my sect,” he said, shaking his head as though he couldn’t be bothered explaining something Anthony could easily learn for himself.

‘Okay, now I definitely need my System to finish updating so I can receive my gifts. I wonder if they’re related to Laws,’ Anthony thought to himself as excitement bubbled within his chest.

“We’ve been moving at a snail’s pace for the past three hours. I’ll take us directly to the sect,” Nathaniel stated as he placed a hand on Anthony’s shoulder. Before Anthony could even respond, both of them vanished from their positions as though they had never existed at that point in space and time.
