After entering the third level of the Mythical Mirage, Qin Ruo quickly expanded his Elemental Perception and scanned everything in the surrounding area.

In just ten seconds, Qin Ruo was able to determine the locations of Tier 4 and Tier 5 Monsters, each respectively yielding 10 and 50 points, deep in the woods. There were no higher level monsters or Bosses in sight. Frowning at this discovery, Qin Ruo spread out his Angelic Wings on his back and flew up to the sky.

Swoosh!

Cloaked by his Barrier, Qin Ruo flew out of the woods to the sky, mowing down countless leaves from the trees along the way. Having left the woods, Qin Ruo was able to see and scan more areas from above. Scanning around again, Qin Ruo made sure all the available geographical information was printed in his mind.

There was a swamp, surrounded thick black mist, and on the south east and west sides was a huge forest. Both of these areas didn’t seem to have people or monsters moving about.

Then, the northern area caught Qin Ruo’s attention…

Several black dots were flying above the azure blue ocean; occasionally, loud chirpings could be heard from that direction too. To Qin Ruo, these were all huge flocks of scores waiting to be claimed.

He wondered if these were enough to satiate his need for the scores.

However, time was running out. The only way to check how much points those monsters would yield was to get close and have a look. As for the other two areas, there were no signs of monsters at all. So, Qin Ruo decided to not waste time on the latter two vacant areas. He had only half an hour; he had no time to waste and ponder too much.

Besides, there were huge amounts of flying monsters on the northern side. The size of these monsters were quite huge and they flocked together; their tier shouldn’t be on the lower end and with this number of monsters all together at once, they must have a Boss amongst them too. It would save him much more time if he headed this way.

Thus!

Qin Ruo morphed out his Aquawings and quickly glided over to the northern side …

Still, while he was gliding over, Qin Ruo hadn’t neglected scanning the forest below him. He expanded his Water Elemental Perception to about a hundred meter radius, trying to identify every single monster that encompassed his Perception. There were a lot of Tier 4 and Tier 5 monsters amongst them. There just might be some Elite Bosses lurking in the woods too.

And Qin Ruo’s speculation was correct.

He was only gliding 200 meters ahead… and already, he was able to identify a strong-looking Boss sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the various groups of monsters below.

Qin Ruo took in a deep breath.

There were huge numbers of Tier 4 and Tier 5 Minibosses; in fact, Qin Ruo didn’t think there were this many Minibosses in the Mythical Mirage. He was able to locate at least seventeen Minibosses by just casually scanning the area. There were also at least six Tier 5 Elite Minibosses and two or more Tier 5 Bosses…

If he were to wipe out everything below, these scores that he could yield from these Bosses would be quite a huge haul.

In the Third Phase, killing different kinds of monsters would yield different scores.

Normal Monsters would yield around 10 to 200 points;

Tier 4 Minibosses would yield 500 points each;

Tier 4 Elite Minibosses would yield 800 points each;

Tier 5 Minibosses and Tier 4 Bosses would yield 2000 points each;

Tier 4 Elite Minibosses and Tier 4 Elite Bosses would each yield 5000 points;

Tier 5 Bosses each yielded 10,000 points;

Tier 6 Mino Bosses each yielded 12,000 points;

Tier 5 Elite Bosses each yielded 20,000 points;

Tier 6 Elite Mino Bosses each yielded 25,000 points;

Tier 6 Bosses each yielded 180,000 points;

Tier 4 Ultimate Bosses and Tier 5 Overlord Bosses each yielded 200,000 points;

Tier 6 Elite Bosses each yielded 240,000 points.

After looking through all everything in the forest, including the Bosses, he estimated that he could acquire at least 70,000 points all in one go.

70,000 points! That was enough for a player to rise up to the Top Ten Thousand on the Leaderboard.

However, this wasn’t Qin Ruo’s target… besides, killing this many Bosses would require a long time and this would lead to him not having enough time to kill a Tier 6 Boss or Ultimate Boss. Determined, Qin Ruo continued extending his Elemental Perception while tilting his Aquawings in the winds, continuing to glide on…

After gliding on several hundred meters later, Qin Ruo was now inching towards the ocean to the north. Suddenly, he felt a lingering sense of danger from below!

Surprised, Qin Ruo reflectively extended his Elemental Perception over…

There were five-meter long black scaled monsters with pointy heads, like black gigantic Pangolins. They were lining up orderly and formed a defense in the shape of a circle. Due to the shining black metallic scales on these monsters, they looked like a black metallic fortress from afar.

The lingering sense of danger was from these Pangolin monsters…

Qin Ruo instinctively knew that they had discovered him!

Tier 6 Gifted Monsters!

No, a horde of Tier 6 Gifted Monsters!

There was no way some mere Tier 6 ordinary monsters could detect him a hundred meters away.

After seeing the Pangolins’ orderly formation, Qin Ruo couldn’t help but to feel a string of excitement…

Could it be?!

It was then that something approaching behind these Pangolins shook Qin Ruo, sending a chill down his spine…

There were countless metallic spikes suddenly emerging from behind the black pangolins. If the black pangolins were the “Black Metallic Fortress”, then these ones were the “Fatal Metallic Fortress”. These newly appearing pangolins had metallic scales that pointed up sharply from their skins and were lined up next to the black pangolins, forming a spine-chilling armored prickly fortress.

Seeing this, Qin Ruo knew he couldn’t afford to take this lightly and started to take more caution toward these monsters… he didn’t even see this kind of monster formation in the Galbis Lair.

The only thing that could compare to this was the Heaven Peal Island in the Underworld… that Level 46 Ultimate Boss—the Heaven Peal Lion and thousands of its Heavenly Peal Beasts.

As Qin Ruo wondered if he had ran into good fortune and found a Tier 4 Ultimate Boss… he had finally flew to the end of the forest…

It was then when…

Booom!!!

A loud thundering roar was heard from the woods… the roar felt as though a massive peal of thunder had struck from the heavens, scaring countless birds which hastily flocked out of the trees.

Qin Ruo was surprised. Was he discovered?!

Without wasting time, he quickly banked his wings and glided to a different direction, towards the direction where the sound came from. Then he quickly deactivated his Liquid Form and swiftly raised up his Frost Barrier and Darkfrost Shield.

Booom! Booom!!!

It was then, Qin Ruo could see the gigantic monster, which was sending out the thundering roars, stood up in the middle of the woods… it was a ten-meter tall gigantic Pangolin!

Oh wait.

It was an Orc.

Qin Ruo was shocked as he saw the gigantic “Pangolin”. It had a pointy head, a pair of black ashen eyes and sported thick scales, like the ones normal pangolins had. Other than that, its arms, torso, and lower half of the body were entirely humanoid.

“What on earth…”

Qin Ruo, flapping his Angelic Wings, immediately stopped and hovered in the air.

“What kind of Boss is this?!”

This Pangolin Orc was about twenty meters tall when it was completely stood up, almost as tall as the oldest trees in the forest. Qin Ruo didn’t see it earlier because it was sitting in the woods. It was not until Qin Ruo had intruded into its perception, that this unknown Boss got enraged.

After discovering Qin Ruo, the Pangolin Orc grabbed two huge old trees in its hands and then pulled them out of the ground…

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The gigantic Pangolin Orc then spun the trees around like a whirlwind, clenching them tightly in its hands. A huge powerful shockwave swept up instantly and reduced the trees that were in a thirty meters radius to nothing, flying them to the air and leaving the surrounding areas barren.

After that, it tossed the gigantic trees away and roared furiously at Qin Ruo. It seemed as though this Boss was imposing its dominance of the area to this intruding human.

Indeed, this monster didn’t seem smart but it was still quite powerful. Its strength and temperament definitely rivaled that of Galbis and Heaven Peal Lion.

Qin Ruo knew this thing was a tough nut to crack.

“This tough guy must be the ones that would yield at least 200,000 points.”

Qin Ruo carefully hovered in the air and stared at the Pangolin Orc below.

“Although it’s not a Tier 4 Ultimate Boss or a Tier 6 Elite Megaboss, this Tier 5 Overlord should yield at least 200,000 points.”

And it happened as expected. As soon as Qin Ruo finished speculating, the system message had finished analyzing the Pangolin Orc.

“Level 50 Overlord Boss, The Jebel Pangolin!”

“Score: 200,000”

However, there was something else that was on Qin Ruo’s mind.

After the “Jebel Pangolin” was enraged, there were loud noises coming from the woods.

Before he was able to come up with a battle plan, countless Blackscale Pangolins and Deathscale Pangolins marched out of the woods! In an orderly manner, they formed two layers of defenses around the Boss—as if forming an impenetrable metallic fortress with a deadly sharp blade fortress around it.

The gigantic Jebel Pangolin, stretching out its sharp claws, leered at Qin Ruo furiously, like a demon taunting its prey!

Qin Ruo quickly calculated his winning chances…

God damn it! There wasn’t even a fifty percent chance of success.

Not only that, his chances of death was overwhelmingly high… such a scenario had not occurred for a long, long time.

Qin Ruo scanned the Jebel Pangolin and hundreds of its Tier 6 Blackscale and Deathscale Pangolins with a frown. Then, he let out a sigh and flew away.

This was a Tier 5 Overlord Boss. This meant that it possessed the combat prowess that was stronger than a Tier 4 Ultimate Boss. The latter was also not as clever and gifted as the former too.

If it was a lone Tier 5 Overlord Boss, he might still have some chance…

Qin Ruo had recently invented his Fatal Frost Crystals. These would definitely be a great help in fighting a Boss like this. However, if it was a matter of fighting an entire horde of these pangolins…

Qin Ruo must not let his guard down in this Last Man Standing Contest; besides, these Tier 6 monsters possessed obscenely sturdy defense. Qin Ruo was not confident that he could kill these darned pangolins in just half an hour.

However, as Qin Ruo glided over to the ocean… he saw the pangolin army standing next to the waters dejectedly… it was then that he suddenly had an idea.

“What if I send them down to the ocean? I might just be able to kill them all…”
