''500 million high-grade spirit stones and a soul-star weapon?'' The look of mockery and amusement on Shun Long's face only deepened as he reached the mission's reward section.

Putting aside the absurd number of high-grade spirit stones this mission had placed on his head, just that soul-star weapon alone was more than enough to cause an uproar throughout the entire continent.

How many soul-star weapons existed in the whole central continent? Shun Long didn't know exactly, but he was sure that number was bound to be exceedingly small... if not just in the single digits!

After all, unlike normal star-rank weapons, soul-star weapons were crafted exclusively by Earth Immortals, the worth of a single one being hundreds of times more than a peak 3-star weapon!

Of course, the difference between a soul-star weapon and a 3-star one wasn't merely a single rank as the name suggested. No, it was a qualitative evolution that couldn't be described by something as 'plain' as that!

Calculating the total bounty that had been placed on his head, Shun Long couldn't help but snort inwardly, the look in his eyes darkening dangerously.

Indeed, that number was certainly enough to incite even some early tribulation Earth Immortals, let alone Sovereign realm experts and the like. Even to those apex powers of the central region, 700 million high-grade spirit stones wasn't a number they could throw around so casually. At the very least, even they were bound to feel the pinch of something like that.

And yet, Shun Long knew that this so-called 'bounty' was still nothing compared to the treasures he had collecting dust inside the 'Stone of Time' right now.

After reading the special instructions one last time, Shun Long could already guess who it was that had issued this mission and what they were after.

And indeed, just as he had sorted out his thoughts, he could feel Jiang Chen and Liu Mei sending him mental messages almost simultaneously, as their voices rang out in his mind

''Brother, this is definitely that bastard, Xuan Bo's work.''

''Long'ge, it must be the Tianxuan dynasty that placed this mission!''

Turning around, Shun Long could see the murderous looks in Jiang Chen's and Liu Mei's eyes, while Xingyi and Bai Longtian had clearly come to the same conclusion, their faces falling as well.

Obviously, other than Xuan Bo and the Tianxuan dynasty behind him, who else had the capital to place such an absurd bounty on the head of a mere Dao King?

'The White Tiger chamber of commerce and the 8 ancient families probably have just as much capital as the Tianxuan dynasty, if not more, but they don't have any enmity with me. If they were to come after me for the treasures, I doubt they'd do it so openly. They'd probably send their own assassins to do it instead.'

As he came to this conclusion, Shun Long became increasingly more convinced that the one who had placed this mission was indeed either Xuan Bo or the Tianxuan dynasty behind him.

Although it was possible that another first-rate power was responsible, it was unlikely that anyone else would target him so openly considering his enmity with the Tianxuan dynasty in the first place.

Nodding his head, Shun Long thought back to the two most precious items he had obtained from the 'City of Immortals' after the final trial. The first one was that silver token from the Imperial Mandate sect which allowed one to become a disciple of one of their hall masters, while the second one... was the small mound of emerald-colored spirit stones that were scattered next to the sleeping Little Black.

While precious, Shun Long didn't care too much about the small silver token. Although the Imperial Mandate sect was possibly a second-rate power in the 'Immortal Dimension' -and perhaps even a first-rate one- the idea of becoming a disciple to one of their hall masters wasn't that appealing to Shun Long.

The 100 immortal-grade spirit stones however... were an entirely different story!

Forget about the 700 million high-grade spirit stones bounty, even a billion of them wouldn't be enough to buy one hundred of these immortal-grade spirit stones.

Even large amounts of top-grade spirit stones, the rarest type of spirit stones that could be found in a mortal world, couldn't possibly find a buyer that was willing to part with even a single immortal-grade spirit stone, let alone a hundred of them!

This was a treasure that could only be found in the 'Immortal Dimension' and would almost never be available in a mortal world like this one. And yet, Shun Long knew that this wasn't the reason why the Tianxuan dynasty was so desperate to get their hands on his immortal-grade spirit stones.

To Dao Emperors and even to Sovereigns, these spirit stones weren't anything more than fancy-colored treasures. A rare type of spirit stone that they had no particular use for. Even the qi they contained was barely more than that of a few hundred high-grade spirit stones.

To Earth Immortals however, this was a life-saving treasure they would do anything to obtain! It wasn't an exaggeration to say that most Earth Immortals would sell half of everything they owned if it meant they could get their hands on a single one of these emerald-colored spirit stones!

And Shun Long... now had one hundred of them!

Knowing what this meant, Shun Long closed his eyes and sorted out his thoughts before he opened them once more barely a few moments later. Turning his gaze toward Wolf Hunter who was still standing in front of him with an expectant look, he then said in that same emotionless raspy voice as before
