My attributes are increasing infinitely

Chapter 508: Infinite Ascension

Chapter 508: Infinite Ascension

Ethan opened his eyes.

A faint shift passed through his gaze as awareness returned to him, and although his posture remained still, there was a subtle difference in the depth of his presence. The energy within him had settled into a new configuration, one that felt more intricate and more refined than before. It did not surge outward violently, nor did it remain passive. Instead, it existed in a controlled state, as though it was waiting for a command.

"I have gained another supreme talent. I wonder, if this is the ninth talent, what would the ultimate one be?" he thought.

The question lingered in his mind with unusual weight. It was not simple curiosity, nor was it mere excitement. Each talent he had obtained so far had reshaped his understanding of power, and if this was only the ninth, then the tenth could not be something ordinary. It would not simply be stronger. It would likely transcend the framework he had been operating within.

He narrowed his eyes slightly and focused inward. The omniscient core within him began to stir, releasing faint ripples of perception that extended into unseen layers of reality.

He tried to see his future regarding this talent, but he could not see anything.

There was no resistance. There was no distortion. There was simply nothing.

The omniscient core was not working regarding this talent, even though it could find information about Elysium and its past.

Ethan remained silent for a moment, processing the implication.

"Anyway, I will understand it when I get there, but right now, there are some problems coming toward me," he thought.

Ethan stood up because Veldanava and the Aurora Clan Founder were coming toward him.

Even before he rose completely, his senses had already locked onto their presence. One of them carried overwhelming pressure, dense and suffocating, like a storm compressed into a single point. The other felt sharper, colder, and far more deliberate.

For some reason, Veldanava had taken a special interest in him after finding out that he had escaped from the clan.

And finding him was not difficult for someone like Veldanava, as Ethan could not leave the continent.

"Anyway, I have an ally now, so I might as well enjoy the moment," he thought before taking out the device Null gave him.

Without hesitation, he activated it.

Boom!

Instantly, a huge sound was heard in the garden.

The ground trembled as the shockwave spread outward. Trees shook violently, and the air itself seemed to vibrate under the pressure.

"Lucious, would you now fight me because of an ant? Is he that special?" an amused voice was heard.

"Veldanava, if you do not want your destruction, leave this place this instant, or else even you will not be able to handle the situation," Lucious’s childish voice was heard.

"Huh, my destruction? Are you talking about yourself? Do not overestimate yourself. I am far stronger than you. Do not let your ego become your path to destruction just because you have a fancy hero title," Veldanava snorted coldly.

"Then let us fight," Lucious said coldly.

He wanted to curry favor with Ethan, as he now had an invincible ally.

Boom!

Veldanava attacked directly. He was getting annoyed.

Two cataclysmic forces collided.

The impact distorted the surroundings. Shockwaves spread in all directions, tearing through the garden and shaking the ground beneath them.

Ethan watched the battle from far away.

[Name: Veldanava (Dragon)

Level: 203]

"So he is three levels higher than him," Ethan thought.

Though three levels did not seem like much, it was still a difference as vast as heaven and earth.

Lucious fell to the ground and spat blood.

"So let us have a proper duel then," Lucious roared.

Instantly, his small form began to transform into that of an adult.

[Name: Lucious Augustus

Level: 202]

He leveled up twice, but there was still a gap.

Boom!

He suddenly vanished from his position and appeared behind Veldanava.

Even Veldanava was surprised.

"How did he do that?" Ethan asked.

[He used his ultimate talent, Absolute Speed, which allows him to move at a speed one level higher than his enemy if the enemy is within one to five levels above him.]

Ethan nodded.

In that case, he had just displayed the speed of a level 204 being.

However, before Lucious could strike, Veldanava gave a devilish smile.

Then he punched.

His hand transformed into that of a dragon.

Lucious was sent flying like a ragdoll.

Veldanava had already begun transforming into his true form.

A dark dragon.

[Name: True Form of Veldanava

Level: 205]

"Why do these people keep suppressing their levels?" Ethan thought, somewhat speechless.

But suddenly, he felt an immense sense of danger.

"Shit, I almost forgot that the Founder was here as well," he thought.

"Why did you run away? Did I not treat you well? Why would you not trust me?" the Founder’s angry voice entered his ears.

Ethan knew an attack was coming, but he was not fast enough to react or strong enough to defend.

He closed his eyes and tried to activate his time talent or his reality manipulation talent, but neither was effective.

The enemy was on a completely different level.

"Then I will at least take you down with me," Ethan thought.

Instantly, he activated Gray Mist Production.

The Founder was just an instant away from Ethan when he suddenly felt an existential crisis. Although it was not overwhelming, it was still enough to make him hesitate.

And that hesitation was all the time Ethan needed.

A dwarfed man appeared between him and the Founder.

"You are really a troublemaker, my friend," Null said with an amused tone.

The Founder heard that voice, and his soul nearly left his body in fear. He wanted to stop his fist, but it was too late.

Bam!

The fist landed on Null, or rather, on the thin barrier surrounding him.

The impact that should have destroyed everything was completely nullified. The barrier did not crack, nor did it even tremble.

"Pathetic insect," Null snorted.

Before the Founder could beg for mercy, his body exploded into a mist of blood.

"Thank you," Ethan said, bowing slightly.

"No need. Do you want me to kill that lizard as well?" Null asked.

"Let us wait. He will come here. Now you know that I have a very dangerous talent, and his master also possesses a similar one. He is here for me. Now that I have activated this talent, he will definitely come," Ethan said.

"Yes. It is a nasty talent you have, especially combined with your knowledge. It corrodes the existential laws themselves," Null nodded.

Far away, Veldanava suddenly sensed the Gray Mist and looked toward Ethan’s direction.

"Hahahaha... found you," he roared with laughter.

His huge dragon form shrank back into a humanoid shape as he rushed toward Ethan.

He could not perceive Null, as Null had hidden his presence.

"Little bastard, so you are actually the target. Now come with me. My master wants to see you."

He extended his hand to capture Ethan, as if Ethan’s opinion did not matter at all.

But once again, Null appeared between them.

Veldanava instantly stopped and jumped back.

"Lord Null, why are you here?" he asked in horror.

Even his master feared this being, so he was completely terrified.

"He is my friend. Do not bother him anymore, or I would not mind visiting your castle," Null said coldly.

"Yes... yes. I will inform my master," Veldanava said before vanishing as fast as he could.

"Have you finished your business, or do you want me to wait here?" Null asked.

"I think I will be fine now. I will call you later," Ethan said.

"Alright," Null replied before glancing at Lucious.

"You have done well. Take this."

He threw a fruit toward him.

Lucious caught it, and his eyes widened in shock.

It was a Terranova fruit. It could instantly increase a being’s level by up to three levels.

He swallowed hard. With this, he could reach the same level as the First Hero.

"Thank you, my lord. Thank you," he said as he kowtowed repeatedly.

Null vanished without saying anything further.

Ethan sat down and activated his time field once again.

He wanted to reach level 100 immediately.

Seven days later.

[Ding! You have reached Level 100.]

[Ding! Your ultimate talent has awakened.]

[Infinite Ascension: You will reach your enemy’s level for thirty minutes upon activation, regardless of their level. However, once the duration ends, your body will be almost completely paralyzed for ten days.]
