Chapter 1228 - 1229: Hot Fire For The Lustful
Chapter 1228: Chapter 1229: Hot Fire For The Lustful
Damon glanced at the two women, then let out a sigh.
"No. We were about done."
"Actually, you are interrupting. Did the guards outside not tell you this place is occupied?" Sylvia responded with a sneer.
"Oh, great. I forgot how much of a bitch you were. Welcome back. I see your nasty personality is still there."
Lilith’s expression turned cold.
Damon almost forgot, since it had been seven years, but these two really didn’t get along. It wasn’t like Renata and Lilith, who constantly said snarky things to each other but still acted like best friends afterward.
In fact, now that he thought about it, the women in his life had practically split into their own factions.
Eva and Sylvia got along since they had been friends to begin with, but Sylvia didn’t like Lilith, and the feeling was mutual, so Evangeline had a tendency to side with Sylvia.
Renata, on the other hand, supported Lilith.
Then there was Abellona, who was closer to Seras because of their time in the military. The two of them had no general hostility toward anyone. Leona was lovable, so she could fit in with practically anyone.
Then there was Matia, who was cool with everybody.
But these two...
Oh, right.
These two were a problem.
Sylvia didn’t like being shown up by Lilith, while Lilith loved putting Sylvia down so she could establish a pecking order or something. Damon was the unlucky bastard who always ended up caught in the crossfire.
’Oh, man... Oh, Goddess, I’m in trouble, aren’t I?’
If his Astral form could sweat, he would have been drenched by now.
"Oh, Lilith, you’re here. And I’m sure you guys built me a body already. What did you get?"
Renata bit her lip, then looked away. She waved her hand, and a massive shadow was torn apart, revealing a large box that looked much like a coffin.
"We tried to make one, but this prototype is still flawed. We can’t really incorporate all your skills. Only a few of them can be used with this body. I’m really sorry."
Damon floated toward the body.
It looked biological, almost as if it had been made in his image. He stared at it for a moment before looking at his own face and admiring just how handsome he normally looked.
Then he paused.
Slowly, he reached toward the groin.
"You guys better have replicated my junk at the same size because ahhh..."
He gasped mid-sentence.
"I... I don’t feel anything," he whispered in anguish.
"You’re not supposed to. It’s a Shadow Drone. Of course you have no genitalia. We can’t have you messing around with that thing, and they don’t typically come with those."
Lilith genuinely couldn’t understand what the issue was. If Damon wanted to, he could simply get his original body back.
"What a show of simplicity and a lack of skill. You truly couldn’t figure out something so simple?"
Sylvia mocked them as she looked down at the Shadow Drone inside the coffin.
"Are you trying to start a fight?" Renata asked.
"Yes, I am," Sylvia replied without hesitation.
Renata glanced at Lilith, then shrugged.
"She’s more honest than before."
"Yeah, she is. That’s some growth. I’m so proud of you, my dear junior."
Lilith was obviously mocking her.
"Don’t condescend to me."
"No, actually, I was rage baiting you."
Lilith grinned as she watched Sylvia’s expression darken.
Sylvia glanced at Renata.
"Obviously, you guys messed up the design somewhere. You focused too much on soul adaptability when your focus should have been his shadow. Damon doesn’t have a typical soul. His is more like a mass of shadows pretending to be a soul."
When she said that, Renata paused. She glanced at Lilith, realization dawning in her eyes.
"Oh, that’s right. How did we never think of that?"
"That’s the thing. You don’t think. All your brains are stuck in those pointlessly big breasts of yours. All you’re good for is seducing men."
She viciously mocked them.
"Don’t push it. We appreciate the help, but we aren’t above pettiness."
Renata glared at her.
Damon could feel the tension in the room with a knife, so he wisely decided to take the new body and leave. He seized the opportunity while their argument was just reaching a new phase, entering the Shadow Drone and standing up.
"Oh, is that so? At least I don’t act like a slut."
"I’m the slut?" Sylvia snapped. "Says the woman who abandoned her royal station for a man."
Damon could feel the immense pressure of their auras building behind him, so he made no sound as he reached the door. He tried his best to calibrate himself to the new body, but every movement still felt slightly unnatural. He wanted to move faster, but it was taking a while to adjust.
Whatever happened, Sylvia was in the Seventh Class, and even if she wasn’t, they probably wouldn’t kill her.
He paused with his hand on the door.
"Maybe I should say something."
He slowly turned around.
The sight that greeted him was terrifying.
A deep mixture of powerful auras filled the chamber, sending furniture floating into the air as the pressure formed a violent cyclone around the three women.
Damon stared for a moment.
"Who am I to intervene in matters that don’t concern me?"
He opened the door.
The moment he stepped outside, he ran straight into someone.
It was a woman with long golden hair and golden eyes, wearing armor.
"Hey, oh, you got your body back... No, what even is this, and where did you get it?"
"It’s a long story. Gotta go."
Damon tried to move past her in a hurry.
"Wait."
She grabbed him.
"Sylvia is here, so I wanted us to spend some time together."
She raised her head and looked into the chamber.
Sylvia and the other two were still in a heated argument.
Her expression immediately turned cold.
Her gaze fell on Damon.
"You trash. You walked away and let Sylvia get picked on?"
Damon was suddenly thrown toward the center of the chamber, and Evangeline followed him inside.
"What the hell is going on here?"
She glanced at Renata, whom she knew was a demon, and clicked her tongue.
"So the two of you are ganging up on Sylvia now, huh?"
It was like adding fuel to a fire that was already out of control.
Damon simply sat in the corner and watched.
"So this is why people recommend having one wife. I never knew. Goddess, you test me."
He watched as the three women resumed their argument.
"Errr... since you guys are already mad, I figured you wouldn’t mind if I told you something."
Nobody paid him any attention.
"I... I might be expecting a baby soon, so..."
He said it in a whisper.
The room suddenly became silent.
"What?"
Damon stood up.
Then he jumped out the window.
Unfortunately, before he could get far, a rift in space opened beneath him, and he fell right back into the center of the room.
He slowly raised his head.
"I think you have some explaining to do, mister."
Lilith’s voice was cold.
"I couldn’t agree more," Sylvia added, stepping beside her.
"I am not raising another child for you."
Evangeline crossed her arms, her expression equally cold.
Lilith narrowed her eyes.
"I assume it’s not one of us, so who did you knock up, you man-slut?"
Damon could suddenly feel the cold wind of the afterlife.
"Would you believe me if I said I was just joking?"
"No."
They said it in unison.
