"What’s her current condition?"

"Have you found the cause?"

"Not yet! I plan to have her do an abdominal ultrasound first."

"I’m her mother."

"Could you please go pay for the examination fees? It’s over there!" Zhou Can said to the girl’s mother.

"Alright!"

The girl’s mother gave her daughter a quick word of advice before heading towards the payment window.

Even though the hospital had several self-service machines, some older, less educated relatives still preferred manual payments at the window.

After sending the girl’s mother away, Zhou Can turned to the girl and said, "I looked over your medical record, and it states that you’re unmarried with no sexual history. Now that your mother isn’t here, be honest with me, have you ever had sexual intercourse?"

The girl hadn’t expected Zhou Can to ask this and immediately blushed with embarrassment, lowering her head.

"You mustn’t hide anything from the doctor; your situation is very dangerous right now. When I came over, I could tell at a glance from your complexion and lips that you have acute anemia. If I’m not mistaken, you’re probably experiencing bleeding down there."
