My Stepmom Is A Vampire & Her Entire Bloodline Wants To Breed Me

Chapter 215: The True Purpose

Chapter 215: The True Purpose

Seamus realized that Roanna’s power might be able to escape this domain if it had been created the same way as the monsters inside it.

More importantly, he now understood the nature of the Sanguine Veins flowing through this place. They were just like his, not human, not vampire, but Crimson Nectar.

And if he was able to absorb power through sex and having his blood consumed by a vampire, then there had to be a way for him to absorb this power as well.

’System, can you help me?’ he thought.

The system did not respond at first. Then a translucent screen appeared in front of him.

[Scanning the area: complete.]

[You are able to absorb this power. This domain forms and strengthens itself through the negative emotions of the vampires and humans trapped within it.]

’Just like Roanna,’ Seamus muttered. ’But how is that possible? Is bloodstyle evolution not as exclusive as I thought?’

[This room is the weakest among all the rooms. Diane undergoes evolution without relying on negative emotions.]

[Place your hand on the wall. Feel the Sanguine Veins and imagine absorbing them slowly.]

Seamus nodded. He stepped forward and pressed his palm against the wall. It was wet and soft beneath his touch, almost pulsing.

He did exactly as the system instructed, focusing on the golden Sanguine Veins flowing inside it.

The power responded. As he absorbed it, Diane suddenly gasped.

"The wall is melting," she said, disbelief giving way to excitement. "Whatever you’re doing, it’s working! You can do it, Seamus!"

He didn’t answer. He stayed focused as the flow of the Sanguine Veins became unstable, drawn into him again and again. When he finally opened his eyes, a door stood before him where the wall had once been.

"Let’s go, Diane," he said. "Be careful. Maria is in this room."

Diane nodded. She already knew. Seamus had explained that the glowing trail they followed belonged to Maria.

He opened the door.

Maria’s screams tore through the room. An old man sat on the wheelchair beside her, so absorbed in tormenting her that he did not even notice the domain had been breached.

"Maria!" Seamus and Diane shouted at the same time.

Diane rushed forward and ripped the tentacle restraining her.

"Maria," she whispered, her voice shaking. "What’s wrong with your eyes?"

"Let me go!" Maria cried. "Help me, Diane!"

Tears of blood streamed down her face.

Seamus turned his attention to the old man. He kicked the wheelchair hard, sending it crashing to the ground. The man crawled away in panic, muttering words Seamus did not want to hear.

Seamus reached behind his spine and pulled out his scythe. Using Diane’s bloodstyle, bone burst from his body and wrapped around him, forming armor. The pain was unbearable, but his anger drowned it out.

"You don’t want to kill me," the old man said desperately. "I know something you don’t. Those eyes can help us find it!"

Seamus raised his scythe. "Who cares?"

"Then, I-I know where Crimson Nectar comes from! You will regret it if you kill me!"

Seamus stopped.

"Talk," he said coldly. "You can’t use that domain trick on me anymore. I’m stronger than you. I’ll absorb all of your power and make myself stronger than ever."

The Sanguine Veins beneath his skin surged violently, far beyond the limit the system had once set. They should have torn him apart. Instead, they obeyed him.

Power pulsed through every part of his body, intoxicating and dangerous, and he understood exactly what would happen if he released it all at once.

"Ye-yes," the old man stammered. "You know about Pharos, right? People who develop supernatural powers from birth or from trauma involving vampires."

Mark swallowed and forced himself to continue. "In the past, the King of Morum, Iscaron, kept a human concubine. Even after he became a vampire, she somehow became pregnant."

"The king was overjoyed," Mark said. "But also afraid. What kind of monster would be born from a human and a vampire?"

His hands trembled. "Johan and Rohan the first, assassinated the concubine and the child in her womb. When the king found out, his rage was unmatched. He banished them both."

Mark licked his lips, sweat dripping down his face.

"But we found a letter. Between the king and the concubine, Carmen. Their child survived. A boy. Human, but later in life, he developed powers similar to a vampire."

Seamus listened silently. His eyes flicked downward as he noticed Mark’s fingers inching toward something hidden in his palm.

In a single motion, Seamus slashed.

Mark screamed as his severed hand rolled across the floor. Something dropped with it.

An eyeball not just any, it was Maria’s eyeball.

Blood poured freely as Mark howled in agony, clutching his stump.

"Your trial is over," Seamus said calmly. "I don’t care about my descendants."

"No!" Mark cried. "You need to listen to me! You need to side with Latros! You need to understand that this is bigger than you!"

Seamus swung his scythe as Mark’s head hit the floor. Even then, the old man’s severed hand kept screaming.

Seamus did not stop. He sliced flesh and bone apart methodically, reducing the body into small, twitching pieces while the screams echoed unnaturally, refusing to fade.

"Welcome to the Labyrinth of Dreams," Seamus said, grinning faintly. "The real Mark Latros."

He kept cutting long after satisfaction should have arrived.

---

"Seamus, what should we do?!" Diane shouted.

He blinked, pulled back into reality. Maria lay limp in Diane’s arms.

"Her eyes," Diane cried. "They’re gone!"

Seamus exhaled slowly, grounding himself. The reason he had kept Mark alive inside the Labyrinth was because the information mattered, like it or not, he was useful.

He crouched beside Maria and pulled something from his pocket.

"We can save this one," he said quietly. "The other one though, I can’t find it. He probably already sent it to Latros."

Maria’s face was pale. Blood soaked the empty sockets where her eyes had been. Diane held her tighter, trembling.

Seamus closed his eyes for a moment.

They were too late.

This had been Mark Latros’s plan from the very beginning to get Maria’s eyes.
