Chapter 246: Don’t Know
Chapter 246: Don’t Know
"Indeed..." Richard nodded.
He didn’t feel uncomfortable at all when Carla asked about it.
"Ohhh, what is it? Maybe I can help you," Carla said when she heard Richard acknowledge it.
However, their food arrived rather quickly.
Just as Richard was about to answer, he saw the waiter return carrying three trays at once.
"Let’s eat first," Richard said.
He was captivated by the lamb, which looked incredibly succulent.
Carla also began eating and seemed to greatly enjoy the lobster.
When he tasted the lamb, Richard finally understood that appearances did not lie.
It was so delicious that his mouth unconsciously chewed more carefully, afraid of ruining the meat—even though chewing itself essentially destroyed the food.
"How does it taste, Brother Richard?" Carla asked curiously.
"Outstanding. The best meat I’ve ever had. I didn’t know the Order of the Crimson Veil had such an excellent restaurant. If you opened branches, your restaurant would definitely be extremely popular," Richard replied.
"Hahaha, that really is a good idea. However, there aren’t enough seasonings and spices to open branches, or some people who are greedy for money would have done so long ago," Carla replied.
"Besides, the price is very high—over fifty thousand Natural Spirit Crystals per serving."
"Really?" Richard froze when he heard that.
Fifty thousand Natural Spirit Crystals?
For a single portion of food, that was far too excessive.
"That’s a reasonable price without much profit. The production cost, especially the ingredients, is extremely high," Carla answered.
"But you don’t need to worry. I’ll treat you. If you want more, feel free to order again." The girl smiled sweetly.
Richard shook his head.
"People would get angry if I took advantage of you," he chuckled.
"So, do you know why I came?"
"Yes, why?"
"Crimson Heart... I need it. I heard that outsiders have a chance to obtain it, so I came to try my luck. Maybe I’ll be fortunate..." Richard said casually.
"Crimson Heart?" Carla looked quite surprised. "What is that?"
Richard, "..."
"You don’t know?" Richard asked with an incredulous expression.
Carla showed a look as if she were trying to recall something, but in the end, she still shook her head.
"There are many things in this place. I haven’t really studied everything yet," Carla replied, leaving Richard unsure whether to laugh or cry.
But then he thought about it—this girl was only ten years old. How could she know everything about the Order of the Crimson Veil?
Even if she was the granddaughter of the strongest Grand Ancestor, the Order of the Crimson Veil had far too many things to fully comprehend.
"I heard it’s a treasure that only your order possesses, and that you only produce two in each era," Richard explained.
"If only we can produce it, and only two per era, then it must indeed be something extraordinary..." Carla nodded while holding her chin.
"It’s hard to obtain. I’m basically just gambling... I’m not even sure a trade is possible," Richard replied.
"Don’t worry. I’ll definitely help you get it. Later, I’ll ask my grandfather."
Hearing that, Richard wasn’t sure how that Grand Ancestor would react.
Still, he had no other solution, so he could only place his hopes on this girl.
While nodding, Richard continued eating, finishing his meal so thoroughly that not a drop of sauce remained.
"Ohhh..." He cast a strange look toward the window.
He saw Luke and several of his companions gathered together, watching him and Carla.
"Do they have a habit of gathering around to watch other people?" Richard asked Carla with a chuckle.
Carla immediately looked displeased when she saw Luke and the others.
"Brother Richard, they hate you to the bone... Because of you, they were scolded by the elders," Carla explained.
After that, she pointed toward Luke.
"What are you doing over there?" she called out loudly.
"Ehem..." Luke cleared his throat as he walked over.
"Miss, we can’t allow this outsider to wander around without supervision," Luke said.
"So you mean my supervision isn’t enough?" Carla looked angry.
"No... No..." Luke shook his head quickly.
"What I mean is, it’s not that your supervision isn’t enough, but that additional supervision is needed..." Luke seemed to be speaking without thinking.
After saying that, even he looked confused by his own words.
After all, how could supervision that was already sufficient need additional supervision?
"Hmph!" Carla snorted coldly.
"Leave, unless you want to experience my chains," she said.
Luke unconsciously nodded and was forced to leave.
Naturally, he still glared at Richard resentfully.
"Come on, Brother Richard. Let’s go to my house. I’ll summon my grandfather’s manifestation. His true body is very difficult to meet—he might be who knows where, or cultivating beneath the mountain..." Carla stood up.
Richard naturally followed her.
More and more members of the Order of the Crimson Veil were left astonished by him.
Not all of them hated him, but even so, he was still considered an enemy.
To think that he could wander around their mountain?
One could be considered brave for climbing a mountain despite knowing there were tigers there—but this mountain wasn’t just a tiger’s den. It was the lair of the most terrifying dragons and tigers.
Yet Richard remained completely at ease, occasionally smiling at a few members whom he sensed possessed extremely frightening hidden strength.
He had to admit—it truly was a den of dragons and tigers. There were simply too many powerful old figures here.
"Brother Richard, this is my house." They soon arrived before it.
It stood in a spacious area filled with all kinds of flowers.
The house itself wasn’t large, made of wood and with three floors.
There, Richard also saw many cats of various colors.
They were small and looked adorable, yet they possessed extremely powerful hidden auras.
"Brother Richard, I heard you have a Dragon Fist technique. Can I see it? You can strike this garden. Don’t worry about the damage—the land here will instantly repair itself and grow new flowers," Carla suddenly asked Richard to demonstrate his fist.
