Chapter 1003: Meeting The Matriarch
Chapter 1003: Meeting The Matriarch
After recognizing the Naga Matriarch, my attention shifted toward the others fighting inside the transparent dome, and now that I observed them properly instead of through the distortion of combat, I finally understood why Vivi had sensed such a dense concentration of living presences gathered here.
None of the figures inside the barrier were ordinary.
On the far left, a massive winged humanoid tiger tore through the crimson mist with savage momentum, silver armor covering parts of his thick black-and-white fur while enormous claws collided repeatedly against the crimson replica facing him.
Every movement carried overwhelming physical strength, the force of each clash distorting the runes beneath his feet while his wings spread wide behind him during sudden bursts of acceleration.
He was the Feran Sovereign. Even while fighting, his presence radiated raw dominance.
Near him, another battle unfolded in a far more violent manner as a gigantic demon with four muscular arms continuously exchanged blows against his own crimson duplicate.
Two long curved horns rose from the sides of his head while black-red flames erupted around all four fists during every strike, the sheer brutality of the exchange sending shockwaves through the dome itself.
The Demon Monarch.
A few hundred meters farther, an entirely different form moved through the battlefield almost like living energy itself. The body resembled a humanoid shape only loosely, one half formed from blazing fire while the other crackled constantly with condensed lightning, both elements continuously shifting and reforming as it fought another identical elemental figure.
It was the Elemental Emperor.
Then my gaze shifted upward where another winged figure cut through the air with astonishing speed.
A griffon feran.
Unlike the tiger feran, this one carried more avian traits, massive feathered wings spreading outward while golden claws continuously clashed against its crimson counterpart midair. I assumed he must be the leader of the Griffon clan staying with the Ferans.
And finally, near the center of the dome stood an old male naga warrior, his upper body covered entirely in dark green scales while a long sword moved through the battlefield with frightening precision. Unlike the others, his combat wasn’t explosive or overwhelming.
It was clean.
Beside me, Vivi studied the battlefield quietly before asking, "What should we do?"
I looked toward the transparent barrier surrounding the entire area.
"We go inside."
The runes across the dome intensified slightly as we approached, layers of defensive laws shifting across its surface while the Crimson Zone continuously pressed against it from outside.
Vivi frowned faintly. "You can bypass this?"
"I can bypass most things now."
Before she could reply, I reached out and grabbed her hand lightly before walking directly toward the barrier.
The runes reacted instantly.
Silver symbols spread across the transparent surface while the entire dome pulsed once as if attempting to identify us, but the moment the laws touched my body, the reaction collapsed immediately. The runic structure parted around us naturally instead of resisting.
We stepped through without resistance.
The instant we entered, the gigantic serpent projection behind the Matriarch suddenly moved. Its enormous silver eyes snapped open before its head turned directly toward us.
The pressure inside the dome changed instantly.
Every fighter inside paused slightly while Vivi’s body tensed beside me, violet essence beginning to rise instinctively around her as the serpent slowly lifted its head higher above the battlefield.
Even I prepared subconsciously.
The serpent’s aura surged upward rapidly, silver light flooding through its enormous spectral body while Saint-ranked pressure spread throughout the entire dome hard enough that even the crimson mist outside recoiled slightly from it.
Then the serpent attacked.
Its mouth opened and a massive beam of silver light erupted outward across the battlefield, sweeping through the dome with overwhelming force before crashing directly into every remaining crimson replica at once.
The effect was immediate. The crimson figures didn’t even resist properly.
The beam passed through them and their bodies collapsed instantly into dissolving crimson particles that scattered through the air before being erased completely.
Silence followed afterward. The battles stopped.
The elemental figure stabilized its shifting body while the Demon Monarch lowered all four arms slowly. The griffon feran folded his wings slightly after landing while the tiger feran stared directly toward us with narrowed eyes.
At the center of the dome, the Naga Matriarch finally opened her eyes.
Golden slit pupils radiating the Saint aura of the only Saint in the blue spiral.
The gigantic serpent projection behind her slowly coiled downward again while she rose smoothly from her meditative position, black hair flowing behind her as her feet touched the void lightly.
Then all six leaders turned fully toward us. For a few moments nobody spoke.
The atmosphere inside the dome remained tense, every one of them clearly trying to understand how two people had suddenly entered a barrier they themselves had spent months maintaining.
Then finally the matriarch smiled faintly.
"My name is Layla," she said calmly.
Her gaze settled directly on me afterward.
"And it is nice to finally meet you, Billion Ironhart."
I raised an eyebrow slightly at that.
Seeing my reaction, the smile on her face deepened slightly.
"I have eyes and ears spread throughout the Blue Spiral Galaxy," she continued. "There was never any possibility that someone like you would escape my notice."
"Fair enough." I simply nodded and smiled lightly in return.
Layla observed me quietly for another moment before speaking again.
"But I must admit," she said, "I never expected you would come here personally." Her golden eyes shifted briefly toward the crimson mist beyond the dome. "Now that... is definitely a surprise."
"Yeah," I replied calmly while looking around the dome. "I also never imagined I would personally have to come rescue the leaders of the great races as a human."
The tiger feran suddenly laughed.
The deep sound echoed through the dome while his massive wings folded behind him slowly, golden eyes narrowing toward me with obvious amusement.
"Save us?" he repeated with a chuckle. "Child, are you lost?"
I looked toward him quietly and shook my head.
"I’m not lost," I replied. "You all are."
The amusement on the feran sovereign’s face faded slightly after hearing that.
"According to your races," I continued calmly, "all of you disappeared into the Crimson Zone and never returned." My gaze moved across the others as well. "And now that the Blue Spiral belongs to me, I don’t want the races getting distracted from the missions assigned to them while worrying about whether their leaders are alive or dead."
The atmosphere inside the dome shifted immediately.
The Demon Monarch’s four arms crossed slowly while the elemental figure crackled more intensely for a brief moment.
"The Blue Spiral belongs to you?" the tiger feran repeated again, this time without amusement. "What exactly are you trying to say, human?"
I didn’t answer immediately.
Instead my eyes moved toward Layla.
The Naga Matriarch had remained silent throughout the entire exchange, simply watching me calmly while that faint unreadable smile still rested on her face. Unlike the others, she didn’t look surprised.
"It means," I finally said while raising my head fully to meet the feran sovereign’s gaze directly, "I am now the ruler of the Blue Spiral."
The pressure inside the dome became noticeably heavier.
"The one above all."
