My Talent's Name Is Generator

Chapter 1187: Against Verilux

Chapter 1187: Against Verilux

This was Verilux.

I did not give the Hydra any opportunity to settle into the battlefield. The moment its three heads cleared the surface, I raised one hand, and the Soul Force surrounding my body responded to my will. It gathered above Verilux and rapidly condensed into an enormous palm, its surface covered in faint violet-silver runes that reflected the authority of my newly strengthened foundation.

The palm descended.

The impact was instantaneous and devastating. All three heads were driven downward beneath the surface, and the enormous body of Verilux was smashed into the Soul Sea with such force that the surrounding water erupted into gigantic waves.

A vast depression formed where its body had disappeared, while countless streams of Soul Force scattered through the air before falling back into the sea.

I remained suspended above the impact point, watching the turbulent surface without moving.

For several seconds, nothing happened.

Then the Soul Sea began to churn again.

The disturbance grew rapidly, and an enormous shadow rose from the depths. The first head broke through the surface, followed by the second and third, but something was different this time. Behind them, another massive neck began emerging from the darkness.

A fourth head slowly rose into the sky.

Verilux’s enormous body surged upward, bringing all four heads with it as its aura erupted with renewed intensity. The Hydra’s roar reverberated across the Soul Sea, carrying no words, only the raw fury of a creature that had been struck down and had returned stronger.

I looked up at the four-headed monster and felt a faint smile form on my face.

"Its the endgame."

I tightened my grip as the Hydra spread its enormous heads across the sky, preparing to attack again.

I knew this was not Verilux’s true form. The four heads before me were merely the beginning, and if I wanted to finish this fast and hold it here while my summons took care of the Eternals, I needed to force it to reveal more of what it possessed. Rather than allowing it to launch the first attack, I decided to take the initiative.

I immediately summoned my sword and directed my perception toward the enormous creature. The moment my will moved through the sword, the surrounding space began to distort.

My comprehension of Spacetime had advanced alongside the transformation of my foundation, and the Soul Force flowing through my body was no longer the same as before. The technique I was about to unleash had already been powerful enough to sever space itself, but after the qualitative transformation of my soul, its destructive potential had increased by an astonishing degree.

Absolute Art: Void Cleave.

I swung the sword.

A thin line of darkness appeared before me.

For an instant, nothing seemed to happen. Then the line expanded.

Space itself was severed.

The void cleave swept across the battlefield with terrifying speed, passing through the four enormous necks before Verilux could react. There was no explosion and no resistance. The attack simply cut through everything in its path, and the Hydra’s four heads separated from its body almost simultaneously.

Four gigantic heads fell toward the Soul Sea.

The enormous body remained suspended for a brief moment before collapsing backward, sending another massive wave across the surrounding darkness.

I lowered my hand.

That attack was at least twelve times more powerful than the version I had used before entering the transformation. The difference wasn’t merely the amount of Soul Force behind it. My Laws had advanced, my foundation had changed, and the density of my Soul Force had undergone a qualitative leap. Every aspect of the technique had become sharper.

Yet I knew it was not over.

I watched Verilux carefully.

The severed necks suddenly began twitching.

Soul Force erupted from the wounds, and the flesh began regenerating at a speed that made even my perception momentarily pause. New bone formed first, followed by muscle and layers of scales, until the four severed heads began growing back.

But the regeneration did not stop there.

Three additional necks erupted from Verilux’s body.

They rose alongside the regenerated heads, rapidly expanding until seven enormous heads towered above the Soul Sea.

My eyes narrowed.

This was exactly what I had wanted.

I studied the seven heads carefully, and the more I observed them, the more interesting the Hydra became. The Soul Force surrounding each head carried a distinctly different Law, and the difference wasn’t superficial. Each head possessed its own major attribute, as though Verilux had divided several of his greatest authorities across his seven manifestations.

The first four corresponded to the fundamental elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind.

The fifth was Ice.

The sixth radiated an intensely violent Lightning Law, with arcs of electricity constantly crawling across its scales and illuminating the surrounding darkness.

The seventh was different from all the others.

Its aura was far more oppressive.

A destructive pressure spread from it, causing the surrounding Soul Sea to distort wherever its presence touched.

Destruction.

I stared at the seven-headed Hydra as understanding slowly settled in.

The seven heads opened their enormous jaws simultaneously, and the Soul Sea beneath them began to churn as seven different Major Laws gathered around the Hydra.

The seven heads of Verilux moved almost simultaneously, but the Laws surrounding them did not remain separate for long. Lightning began crawling across the Hydra’s enormous body, fire erupted between its scales, and the destructive aura radiating from the seventh head rapidly intertwined with both. The three Laws merged into a single terrifying force as the surrounding Soul Sea began churning violently.

Then all seven heads opened their mouths.

The combined attack erupted.

A gigantic beam of intertwined lightning, flame and destruction tore across the Soul Sea, its passage causing reality itself to distort. Space fractured along its path, while the Soul Sea beneath it was forcibly pushed aside and deformed into enormous waves. The destructive pressure contained within the attack was vastly greater than anything Verilux had displayed before.

I watched it approach without moving.

Then I stepped forward.

Prarambh rose before me, and I thrust the sword directly toward the incoming beam.

"Absolute Art: Absolute Destruction."

Brilliant silver radiance erupted from the blade.

The energy gathered at the tip of the sword compressed into a single point before exploding outward as a tremendous silver beam. It crossed the distance between us almost instantly and collided with Verilux’s attack.

For a brief moment, the two forces struggled against each other.

Then the silver beam broke through.

The combined Lightning, Fire and Destruction Laws were torn apart as though they were nothing more than layers of fragile paper. The silver beam continued forward without losing its momentum and struck Verilux directly.

The impact detonated across the Hydra’s enormous body.

Five of its seven heads were obliterated instantly, while the remaining two were thrown violently backward. The kilometer-long body twisted beneath the impact before I gave Verilux no opportunity to recover.

I raised the sword above my head.

The Soul Force around my body surged into the blade, and the surrounding space began collapsing toward the point of impact.

"Absolute Art: Boundless Collapse."

I swung downward.

The space surrounding Verilux folded inward with overwhelming force.

The entire kilometer-long body of the Hydra was caught within the collapsing field. Its scales shattered first, followed by flesh and bone as the immense pressure crushed its body from every direction. An instant later, Verilux’s entire form exploded.

Blood and fragments of flesh rained into the Soul Sea, staining its surface black as the enormous body was reduced to countless pieces.

I lowered my sword.

Yet my brows remained furrowed.

I could still sense him.

Verilux was alive.
