Chapter 1251: The New Plan

Chapter 1251: The New Plan

Amun stared at the newly summoned Sovereign Abyssal Darkness for several moments before a smile slowly appeared on his face. He shook his head as though he had only just remembered something obvious.

"I really did forget about that," he admitted, his gaze moving between Darkness and me. Then his expression brightened with genuine excitement as he looked at the former traitor.

"Lad, you are really good. This is much better than I expected."

He began thinking aloud almost immediately, his usual calm expression replaced by the look of someone who had just discovered an entirely new possibility.

"If you can turn their Demi-Gods into summons, then we can change the way we approach the war. We don’t necessarily need to kill every Demi-God immediately. We could let a few of them break through, have you deal with them, and then you turn them into summons. If we keep doing that, we could build up an entire force of Demi-Gods on our side."

He paused for a moment, clearly considering the possibilities before looking back at me. "How many more can you summon?"

I thought about it for a moment before answering honestly. "One more."

The excitement on Amun’s face faded slightly. He looked almost disappointed for a moment before sighing and nodding.

"One more is still good. I suppose we shouldn’t be greedy."

I couldn’t help but chuckle. "You’re forgetting about my existing summons."

Amun looked at me.

"If I advance to Middle Demi-God," I continued, "all of my existing summons will advance with me. They won’t remain Saints. They’ll directly become Low Demi-Gods."

Amun’s expression froze.

He stared at me for several seconds before his eyes widened again. "How many summons do you have?"

"Seven."

"Seven?"

His voice rose slightly as he repeated the number, and even Darkness, who had remained silently standing beside me, turned his head toward Amun as if he found the reaction amusing. Amun rubbed his forehead and took a slow breath before looking at me again.

"You are telling me that if you become a Middle Demi-God, there will suddenly be seven new Low Demi-Gods on our side?"

I nodded.

Amun stared at me as though he were trying to calculate what that would actually mean for the war. For several moments, he said nothing, and then he finally let out another long breath.

Seven Low Demi-Gods," he muttered, almost to himself. "That would completely change the balance of the battlefield."

"It should help," I said with a shrug.

Amun looked at me for another moment before a faint smile returned to his face. "Yes. I suppose it will."

Once the initial excitement settled, Amun’s expression became serious again, and the conversation shifted back toward the immediate situation on the battlefield.

"There is something else we can do," he said. "The six Demi-Gods who attacked me are still trapped in the formation I left behind on the frontline. I can maintain it for some time, but I cannot keep them imprisoned forever. My original plan was to allow one of them to break through and send him toward you, which would force the traitor to reveal himself. Now that the traitor is dead, we can use the same situation differently."

I listened carefully as he continued.

"I can deliberately weaken the formation and allow one of them to escape. You can intercept him before he reaches anywhere important and deal with him the same way you dealt with the Eternal you just killed."

"That works," I said, but then a thought occurred to me. "Do any of those six have Space, Time, one of the four Elemental Origins, or Blood Origin?"

Amun raised an eyebrow at the question. "That’s a rather specific condition."

"I want to know before you release them."

He studied me for a moment, clearly wondering what I had in mind, but eventually answered.

"Yes. There is one with Water Origin resonance and another with Earth Origin resonance among them."

"Then let both of them out."

Amun’s eyes widened again. "Both?"

I nodded calmly. "Both."

"You want to deal with two Demi-Gods at the same time?"

"Of course."

Amun stared at me for a moment before shaking his head with a faint smile.

"You really are becoming troublesome."

I simply chuckled. "I’m taking advantage of the opportunity while it’s available."

There was no need to discuss the matter any further. We settled on the timing and the exact location where Amun would weaken the formation, allowing the two selected Eternals to break free while keeping the remaining four trapped.

Once everything was decided I unsummoned Darkness then we left together, moving through the void toward the frontline where the six Eternal Demi-Gods remained imprisoned.

As we traveled, I couldn’t help but think about the strange turn the war had taken. What had begun as a mission to clean up a few rifts in Prime Galaxy had already resulted in the death of an Eternal Demi-God, the exposure of one of the traitors within our own ranks, and the creation of another Demi-God summon.

Now I was heading toward the battlefield to face two more Demi-Gods at once, and if everything went according to plan one of them, might become my next summons as well.

Prime Galaxy gradually disappeared behind us as we traveled farther into the darkness, and the familiar presence of its countless stars slowly faded until there was nothing left but an endless stretch of empty space.

The farther we went, the quieter the void became, and even the faint fluctuations of energy that normally existed between galaxies seemed to disappear. After some time, I could no longer sense any living presence around us, not even the distant aura of Saints. We had reached a region that seemed completely abandoned by the rest of the universe.

Then I noticed something ahead.

At first, it looked like a thin black line floating in the darkness, but as we approached, the line slowly widened until it became a massive crack stretching across the void.

Ancient energy poured from within it, rolling outward in waves that caused Space itself to tremble. Every ripple carried an age-old pressure, something far beyond ordinary Laws. It felt as though the crack had existed before most of the things I knew had even been born.

I slowed down and studied it carefully. There was no obvious entrance, no structure surrounding it and no visible formation controlling it, yet the entire region around the crack seemed unnaturally stable despite the terrifying energy leaking from within.

Amun stopped beside me and looked toward the crack. "This is the doorway to the battlefield."
