Chapter 666: Performance From The Lightning Queen
Chapter 666: Performance From The Lightning Queen
"It isn’t our job to provide proof after that," Dravon said. "We do not waste time debating with traitors. It is YOU who must prove you are not guilty."
Primus chuckled softly.
"Such demon behavior," he murmured, then met Dravon’s eyes without a hint of fear. "Alright then, what kind of proof do you want from us?"
Dravon tilted his head. Instead of answering, he asked, "What do you have?"
Primus didn’t flinch.
"Allow us to interrogate the envoy in front of you. I can prove he is lying." His gaze slid to Gyros like a blade.
Gyros stiffened.
"What? I am the envoy of Dragos! You have no authority to question me, much less interrogate me!"
Primus ignored him completely and kept his attention on Dravon. Dravon shook his head slowly.
"That will be difficult for me to allow." Then his eyes narrowed, shifting away from Primus toward the cloaked figures standing below. My summons. "But... I am curious about them. They don’t smell like demons. Not even close."
"They are my friends," Primus said without hesitation. "I asked for their help to resolve this matter."
"Oh?" Dravon’s interest sharpened. "Then why don’t you ask them to reveal themselves?"
Primus smiled faintly.
"That would be difficult to allow." He paused, then stepped slightly to the side, his gaze still locked on Dravon. "But... you can ask them yourself."
Dravon’s lips curled.
"Very interesting," he said. "Very funny." He gave a soft laugh. "Then I will do exactly that."
He vanished.
One moment he was hovering near Primus, and the next he appeared directly in front of Aurora, moving so fast that the air snapped behind him.
Beside me, Knight muttered, amused, ’Oh, this is going to be interesting.’
Dravon stopped in front of Aurora. He didn’t waste a breath. His hand shot forward, fingers aimed at her hood, ready to pull it back and expose her face.
Before Dravon’s fingers could so much as brush the edge of Aurora’s hood, a deafening thunderclap exploded across the entire valley.
The sound tore through the battlefield like the sky itself had split open.
In the same instant, Dravon’s body vanished.
He reappeared a hundred meters away, hurled backward like a meteor, smashing through rock layers and old battle craters before slamming deep into the ground. Dust and shattered stone burst upward in a violent plume.
Every demon on the field froze.
A sweet, almost playful voice drifted from beneath Aurora’s hood.
"So mannerless," she said, her tone gentle but filled with amusement. "You don’t touch a lady without her permission." She paused lightly, as if genuinely disappointed. "I suppose I’ll have to teach you that lesson myself."
Another thunderclap boomed, sharper, faster, like the world inhaling and exhaling lightning at the same time.
A thick blue bolt crashed down from the sky, slamming directly into the crater where Dravon lay.
The ground erupted. Stone vaporized. A shockwave rippled across the entire valley, shaking armies on all three sides.
She rose into the air, floating upward with effortless grace, her cloak fluttering around her like a storm’s veil. She placed both hands behind her back, posture calm, almost delicate.
"I can show you my face," she said softly, tilting her head as she gazed toward the smoking crater. "But you appear too weak."
Her voice brightened.
"I am far too beautiful for weak hearts to endure."
Lightning crackled faintly around her feet, forming rings of soft blue sparks that drifted like fireflies.
Dravon exploded out of the crater, lightning still crackling off his burned skin. His greatsword roared to life with magma-like fire running along the blade. His face twisted from shock into pure fury.
"You dare—!!"
Aurora lifted one finger.
A tiny spark flicked from its tip.
Dravon vanished sideways to dodge but the spark bent midair and tapped his cheek.
A harmless touch.
Followed by a thunderous boom that launched him backward again.
He spun in the air, barely managing to stabilize, his boots digging trenches into the ground as he landed.
"You—little—!" Dravon shouted.
Aurora giggled. Actually giggled.
"I didn’t expect much intelligence," she said kindly, "but even you should understand I’m holding back. Come now. Show me a better swing."
With a roar, Dravon burst forward. The ground behind him split from the force. His greatsword swept down in a flaming arc that would have cut a mountain in half.
Aurora floated slightly to the left.
Just a small tilt.
The blade missed entirely.
The shockwave behind her carved a canyon into the battlefield.
Dravon blinked, he hadn’t even seen her move.
She tapped her chin thoughtfully, still floating in the same relaxed posture.
"Your weapon is very shiny," she said. "Is it compensating for something?"
Dravon lost what little sanity he had left.
His domain erupted—lava, crushing heat, and molten stone twisting around him like a volcanic god. The sky above him burned orange.
"Domain: Infernal Sovereignty!"
He swung.
The slash turned into a tsunami of molten lava. Aurora raised her palm. A single ring of blue lightning formed in front of her. The molten tsunami hit it and froze.
The lava hung in the air like a painting.
Dravon’s eyes narrowed.
Aurora tilted her head.
"That’s cute," she said softly. "Here. Let me return the favor."
The frozen lava condensed then collapsed into a point of blue light the size of a marble.
It winked once.
Then exploded into a cascade of lightning spears raining down on Dravon like a divine punishment.
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!!
Each impact threw him back, shredding his domain layer by layer. His armor began melting.
He tried to counter, raising his sword—
Aurora appeared in front of him, face inches from his, completely calm.
"You should keep your hands to yourself," she whispered.
Then she poked his forehead with one finger.
Lightning erupted.
A massive bolt drove Dravon straight downward, smashing him into the earth so hard that the valley floor caved in, forming a new crater the size of a small lake.
Silence.
Then Aurora floated back toward the others, dusting her hands lightly.
"That was refreshing," she said cheerfully. "Who’s next?"
An entire battlefield of demons and the newly arrived force from Dragos, stared at her in absolute, horrified awe.
Because Aurora... Aurora had just toyed with a transcendent commander like he was a misbehaving child.
