My Talent's Name Is Generator

Chapter 731: First Rift

Chapter 731: First Rift

I closed my eyes and let the abyss core finish its work.

The last threads of laws were pulled in, broken down, refined, and fed into the deeper structure of my Dawn Core. The violent hunger faded, replaced by a deep, steady pull, like a tide finally settling after a storm.

Then the Dawn Core changed.

It was not sudden. It was inevitable.

Within me, that inner world of void stirred. Islands that had been floating in silent balance began to shift. Essence currents changed direction. The distant hum that always existed there deepened, becoming heavier, more grounded.

A new island was forming.

Matter condensed out of nothing, pulled together by a principle that did not yet exist in my domain a few moments ago. The island grew slowly at first, then stabilized, its surface smooth and dark, etched with faint lines that glowed silver.

At its center, the ground cracked.

A volcano rose.

It was not fire or lava that surged within it. It was sealing.

Silver light flared from the crater, clean and precise, forming rune-like patterns that rotated lazily in the air above it. Every pulse from that volcano carried a sense of finality. Closure. Separation. The Law of Sealing had taken root.

I understood it instinctively. Enough to know it was mine now.

Around it, the Dawn Core responded.

The volcano of space, already vast, expanded further. Its island stretched outward, its edges sharpening, space itself bending more cleanly around it. Paths that once felt rough now felt smooth, obedient.

The elemental volcano answered next. Its glow intensified, colors deepening, layers forming within layers. Fire, ice, lightning, water, and forces beyond simple names churned together with greater harmony than before.

Three changes. One new law. Two strengthened foundations.

I opened my eyes.

Below me, the battlefield had changed beyond recognition.

There were no phantoms left.

No generals. No commanders. No organized resistance.

Only abominations remained, scattered across all three layers, and they were being hunted.

The demons moved like unleashed beasts. Rage that had been bottled for years finally found release. Entire squads tore through the remnants, blades flashing, laws igniting, bodies ripping apart without mercy.

My summons were no different.

Ragnar smashed through clusters of abominations with brutal efficiency, laughing as he crushed them into nothing. Aurora moved like a storm given form, lightning flashing again and again, erasing anything that tried to flee. Silver swept across the battlefield, wings beating as he carried waves of demons forward, dropping them directly into the thickest fighting.

Knight moved unseen, shadows flickering as targets simply collapsed without knowing why.

It was not a battle anymore.

It was a purge.

I pulled up my status to look at it.

My Psynapse had entered a new Omega + category. And the stats were close too.

For nearly two hours, the killing continued. Not because it was necessary, but because no one wanted to stop. Every scream, every shattered body, every pool of black blood felt like payment for years of loss.

Eventually, it slowed.

The void grew quieter.

One by one, weapons lowered. Auras dimmed. Breathing grew heavy.

Then it happened.

A demon dropped to his knees.

Then another.

Then dozens.

Some stared into the void, shaking. Others covered their faces. A few let out broken sounds that could barely be called cries.

The war was not over everywhere. But here, in this rift, it was finished.

I felt it ripple through the army, that strange, fragile moment where rage had nowhere left to go and grief rushed in to fill the space.

My eyes found Saleos.

He floated alone, slightly apart from the others, his body still, his posture rigid. His armor was scorched and cracked, his hands covered in thick black blood that dripped slowly into the void.

He stared at them.

For a long time, he did not move.

Then he closed his eyes.

With a slow, deliberate motion, he tore open the front of his uniform. The fabric split apart, drifting away, exposing the marks, scars, and burns beneath. He let the pieces float off into nothing, as if shedding something that had weighed on him for far too long.

He did not shout.

He did not cry.

But the way his shoulders trembled told me enough.

Not far from him, Mazikeen finally collapsed.

Her knees hit empty space, and she folded inward, hands pressed against her face as sobs tore out of her without restraint. There was no attempt to hide them. No pride left to protect.

Steve stood beside her.

He did not say anything. He simply rested a hand on her shoulder and stayed there.

Around them, demons gathered in silence.

Some embraced each other. Some laughed weakly through tears. Some just stared, unable to believe they were still alive.

I hovered above it all, the weight of the moment settling into me.

This rift had been a wound.

Now it was a scar.

I stared at the shattered layers below, at the drifting debris and the countless broken bodies slowly fading into the void.

This was only one rift. One battlefield.

Across the Prime Universe, there were countless others just like it.

My fist clenched.
