My Talent's Name Is Generator

Chapter 913 The Bird, The Elf, and The Headache

Chapter 913  The Bird, The Elf, and The Headache

[Somewhere on a Feran planet]

Ragnar moved forward with long, confident strides, his massive frame rushing through the corridor with ease. Despite his pace, the two Ferans accompanying him struggled to keep up, their shorter steps quick and hurried as they stayed close behind.

"Lord General, thank you so much for your help in closing the rift," one of them said breathlessly. He looked like a strange mix of man and rabbit, his long ears twitching slightly as he spoke. "We had sent so many requests to Ferados for support, but none ever came. Another two years and we would have been completely wiped out by the Eternals."

Ragnar let out a loud laugh, the sound echoing through the hallway.

"Hahaha, don't worry, kid. There won't be any Eternals left for you to worry about soon," he said, reaching down to pat the shoulder of the barely five-foot-tall Feran with a heavy hand.

"Yes, yes, it is all thanks to the Order of Absolute," the Feran continued eagerly. "The news of what you have been doing these past four days is spreading everywhere."

"Of course it is," Ragnar replied with a wide grin. "No one else has the guts to do what we are doing."

He stopped in front of a large door and tilted his head slightly.

"This is the guest room?" he asked.

"Yes, my lord," the second Feran, one with bird-like features, replied quickly. "We have prepared everything as requested. Food, drinks, and warm water are all ready."

"Good, birdie," Ragnar said approvingly. "You're much faster than the last Feran planet I visited. But what about my other request?"

"That is also being handled, my lord," the bird-like Feran said with a bow. "A bronze statue in your image will be erected in the center of the capital within a week."

Ragnar's grin widened even further.

"Good."

He pushed the door open and stepped inside.

"Then I'll see you soon."

The door closed behind him. The moment he was alone, his expression shifted slightly. Without wasting any time, he waved his hand, and a violet token appeared in his palm. He crushed it immediately.

A small portal opened, barely the size of his hand.

From within, Vivi flew out.

"Ohh, it's Ragnar again," she said in a soft, cheerful voice.

Ragnar smirked.

"Hey Vivi, how's your little food spree going?"

"It's alright," she replied. "There is some indigestion, but nothing I can't handle."

"That's good," Ragnar said. "You can start then."

Instead of moving, Vivi hovered closer to his face, her eyes narrowing slightly with curiosity.

"Don't tell me… you haven't even searched for the core yet."

Ragnar sighed.

"Alright, I'll be honest. I get a headache every time I try to find those world cores. So you'll have to handle that part."

Vivi went completely silent. She hovered right in front of him, staring directly into his eyes without blinking.

Then she spoke sweetly.

"You know what, Ragnar?"

"What?"

"You are dumb."

Ragnar blinked.

"You are so dumb that you can't even do something this simple."

"Vivi, you don't—"

"No, mister," she cut him off sharply. "You don't get to call me Vivi anymore. From now on, you will call me Lady Vivi. Otherwise, my reputation will be ruined if people find out someone like you is calling me by my name."

Ragnar opened his mouth, then closed it again, clearly caught off guard.

"Vivi—"

"Lady Vivi," she corrected immediately. "You know what? I should just go back and tell Billion everything."

She turned and began flying toward the small portal. Ragnar reacted instantly, flashing forward and blocking her path.

"Hey, hey, wait—Lady Vivi, where are you going?" he said quickly. "Since you're already here, you might as well do what you came for."

"Ohh? So now you are ordering me?" she asked, tilting her head.

"What order? I wouldn't dare," Ragnar replied hurriedly. "It's a request. Please go ahead and take over the world core of this planet."

Vivi hovered there for a few seconds, watching him closely.

Then she sighed.

"Fine."

She closed her eyes briefly. When she opened them again, they glowed faintly.

"Found it," she said. "I'm going to take it."

In the next instant, she vanished in a burst of violet flame. The room fell silent.

Ragnar let out a long breath.

"Damn it," he muttered. "Billion was right. Her mind is going haywire."

He immediately sent a message through their shared link to all the summons and me.

"Vivi is spiraling. I repeat, Vivi is spiraling. Proceed with caution."

Responses came back instantly.

"I knew it."

"Told you."

"She's still a kid."

Meanwhile, Vivi appeared inside the pocket space.

The world core floated there, spherical and glowing softly, spinning in place. The moment it sensed her presence, it trembled slightly.

"Aww, no need to be scared, my child," Vivi said gently. "Mumma is here."

Her head expanded again, growing unnaturally large as she opened her mouth and swallowed the core in one smooth motion. Then she remained there, floating quietly, digesting.

Time passed.

Nearly half an hour later, she returned to Ragnar's room.

He hadn't moved an inch from where he stood.

"I'm done," she said the moment she appeared. "But it will take some time to fully digest it. It was a weak core, by the way. So thank you for wasting my time."

Before he could respond, she turned and flew straight back into the portal. Ragnar stood there silently for a few seconds then with a wave of his closed the portal.

Then, slowly, a grin returned to his face.

"Ahh… finally," he muttered.

He cracked his knuckles and turned toward the massive dining table filled with food.

"It's alright, kid," he said with a chuckle. "Once this operation is over… Uncle Ragnar will teach you some manners."

And with that he sat down to eat.

On another faraway planet, Lyrate sat comfortably on a reclining chair, one leg crossed over the other. A few feet in front of her, the small portal spun quietly in the air, its faint glow casting soft reflections across the room.

She had been waiting for a while now.

Her fingers tapped lightly against the armrest in a slow, rhythmic pattern, the only sound in an otherwise silent space. The curtains near the window fluttered gently, but even that seemed restrained, as if the room itself was careful not to disturb her.

The portal had already been open for nearly twenty minutes.

"Where are you, birdie?" Lyrate muttered softly, her eyes fixed on the swirling opening.

Another ten minutes passed and then Vivi flew out. The moment she emerged, her gaze locked onto Lyrate.

Lyrate's eyes met hers.

Neither of them blinked.

"Vivi," Lyrate said calmly.

"Lyrate," Vivi replied.

Silence followed.

A heavy, uncomfortable silence that lingered between them as if neither of them was willing to give even an inch. Even the faint movement of the curtains seemed to slow further.

"I have already located the world core," Lyrate finally said, her tone casual, almost dismissive.

"I can find it myself," Vivi responded immediately.

And before another word could be spoken she vanished. A burst of flame, and she was gone.

Lyrate's fingers paused mid-tap. A small smirk formed on her lips.

"What an arrogant bird," she murmured under her breath.

Meanwhile, Vivi appeared inside the pocket space.

The world core floated before her. But this time she didn't rush forward.

She hovered there, staring at it.

"Very soon, Lyrate… very soon," she muttered.

Then, out of nowhere, she let out a strange, almost villainous giggle.

"Hihihihi—"

"Vivi."

My voice cut into her mind instantly.

"Whoaa—" she flinched in surprise.

"Vivi," I said calmly, "both Vaythos and Abor just experienced minor earthquakes."

She froze.

"Can you control your emotions a little?"

"Yes, yes, I'm doing it," she replied quickly, her tone slightly annoyed as she steadied herself.

The fluctuations around her settled. I let out a small chuckle.

"And where did you even learn that kind of evil laugh?" I asked. "Also… why don't you like Lyrate?"

There was a pause.

"Billion… are you reading my thoughts now?" she asked suspiciously as she slowly moved closer to the world core.

"I don't want to," I replied, amused, "but you're projecting them directly into my mind when you don't control them. You do know that, right?"

"Baaah," she said in clear annoyance, flying in small circles around the core.

I smiled faintly.

"It's fine," I said. "Very soon, you'll have your own body. Then you can even have red eyes like Lyrate if you want. No need to get upset about it and fight with her."

"What? Who said I want red eyes?" she snapped instantly.

"No one said it," I replied calmly. "That's just what you're thinking."

"See! I told you, you are reading my mind!"

"I am not."

"Liar."

I chuckled.

Before I could respond again she dove forward and swallowed the world core whole.
