Chapter 676: Nova Space Station Staff Recruitment Announcement
📢 Official Announcement
Nova Technologies is opening a live feed of the Nova Technologies Space Station under construction.
A camera is now live at the Earth-Moon Lagrange 5 point.
It holds one fixed view of the station from a distance. The whole structure is in frame — 55 kilometers by 27.5 kilometers of it, taking shape against the dark, with Earth turning at the edge.
A timer in the corner counts down to completion. The feed is live now on LucidNet. It runs until the timer reaches zero.

📢 Official Announcement
Nova Technologies is opening applications for station staff positions aboard the Nova Technologies Space Station.
NOVA TECHNOLOGIES SPACE STATION STAFF RECRUITMENT
Nova Technologies is hiring permanent human staff for the first time in its history.
The Nova Technologies Space Station is the most significant human-built structure ever created. It spans 55 kilometers by 27.5 kilometers at the Earth-Moon Lagrange 5 point.
It houses 135 research zones leased by the world’s most significant scientific institutions and corporations. It serves researchers, scientists, government officials, and civilian visitors from every country on Earth.
The people who work here will be the first human workforce Nova Technologies has ever employed. They will live and work in an environment that has no precedent.
They will serve a community doing work that will shape the next century of human civilization. They will look at Earth from 384,000 kilometers every day they choose to.
Nova Technologies is not looking for people who want a job. It is looking for people who understand what this is and want to be part of it.
EMPLOYMENT STRUCTURE
Nova Technologies Space Station positions are offered under two employment categories.
Full-Time Rotation Staff
Full-time rotation staff are the station’s permanent workforce. They live and work on the station for the duration of their active rotation period and return to Earth for a mandatory rest period before resuming.
Full-time rotation staff are employed on a continuous basis. The rest period is part of their employment terms, not a break in employment.
Active rotation options are six months and twelve months. The rotation duration is selected at the time of application and can be changed between rotations subject to operational scheduling and a minimum of two weeks notice before resuming.
Rest period — three months following a six-month rotation. Six months following a twelve-month rotation. The rest period is unpaid but employed status is maintained throughout.
Relief Rotation Staff
Relief rotation staff cover full-time positions during rest periods. They are the station’s coverage workforce that active on the station during any full-time personnel rest periods and on their own rest period when full-time staff return.
Relief rotation staff work the same schedules and the same positions as the full-time staff they cover.
They are not a reduced function category. They are a distinct employment category with the same operational responsibilities as full-time staff during their active coverage period.
Relief rotation compensation is set at half the full-time monetary rate reflecting the shorter cumulative active periods relative to full-time rotation cycles. All non-monetary benefits are identical to full-time staff.
Both categories are employed simultaneously across the full station workforce. Both are Nova Technologies employees. Both are part of the station’s permanent human community in their respective cycles.
WORKING SCHEDULE
Station staff work in one of two sets — Set A or Set B. Both sets are present on the station simultaneously throughout the rotation.
Week One
Set A works — Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Sunday.
Set B works — Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday.
Week Two
Set A works — Monday, Tuesday, Friday.
Set B works — Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday.
The two-week pattern repeats continuously. Set assignments rotate monthly. A full shuffle of which staff members are in which set occurs every six months.
During off days staff remain on the station and have full access to all station facilities at no cost. Off days are genuine rest days. Emergency operational requirements may require attendance in exceptional circumstances only.
COMPENSATION
Base Salary and Location Premium
Every position carries a combined monthly payment reflecting base salary and location premium. Both are paid at the end of each month of the active rotation.
Rotation Completion Bonus
A lump sum paid at the end of each completed rotation.
Six-month rotation completion bonus is two months combined monthly salary.
Twelve-month rotation completion bonus is four months combined monthly salary.
Relief rotation completion bonuses are half the full-time rate consistent with their compensation structure.
Exact figures for every position, along with position counts, are listed in the Employment Portal.

Staff work alongside Synths and adhere to Nova Technologies’ terms in full. Breach of any term results in immediate termination without monetary compensation and return to Earth.
Nova Technologies expects nothing but professional excellence. Its staff are human, of differing nationalities, ideologies, and biases — none of which has any place on the station. Anyone who attempts to push an agenda is terminated and returned to Earth.
Staff live and work 384,000 kilometers from home for months at a time. Nova Technologies understands what that distance does to a person. Everything the station offers — its dining, its facilities, its community — exists so that no one aboard feels the coldness of where they are.
ELIGIBILITY
Applications are open to any individual globally who meets the qualifications for their chosen position. There are no geographic restrictions. There are no nationality preferences. There are no language requirements beyond the professional standard necessary to perform the specific role.
All applicants must hold valid identity documentation. All applicants must pass Nova Technologies’ identity verification and background assessment process.
All applicants must meet the health requirements for extended space habitation as determined by Nova Technologies’ medical assessment protocol provided to shortlisted candidates before final selection.
The space station rotation is a continuous posting of six to twelve months in a closed environment 384,000 kilometers from Earth. It cannot accommodate pregnancy carried to term during a rotation, or the primary care of a dependent child. Applicants must assess this against their own circumstances before applying. Where circumstances change during a rotation, the rotation is ended and the staff member returns to Earth, and remains eligible to apply for future rotations.
Ongoing clinical trial staff are eligible to apply through the standard process.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applications are submitted through the Nova Technologies Space Station Employment Portal accessible through LucidNet and from any standard browser.
Applications are assessed against the following criteria in order of priority.
Professional qualification and experience for the specific role applied for. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure high-performance environments.
Cross-cultural awareness and genuine comfort working within an international community representing every region on Earth.
Psychological suitability for extended closed-environment habitation assessed through the application process.
Communication clarity and interpersonal effectiveness assessed through the application process.
Nova Technologies does not discriminate on the basis of nationality, race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. The only criterion that matters is whether the applicant is the best person for the role.
SELECTION NOTIFICATION
Selected candidates are notified within two weeks of the application closing date. Notification is delivered through the applicant’s registered LucidNet account and confirmed contact details submitted during application.
Selected candidates confirm acceptance within 72 hours of notification. Non-response within 72 hours is treated as withdrawal and the position is offered to the next qualified candidate.
Accepted candidates complete employment documentation, medical assessment, and onboarding requirements within two weeks of acceptance confirmation. Departure dates are confirmed during this period.
TERMS
Nova Technologies Space Station employment terms are governed by Nova Technologies exclusively. They are not subject to the laws of any jurisdiction. Nova Technologies’ decisions on all employment matters are final.
Full employment terms are provided to shortlisted candidates before final selection. No candidate should be expected to accept a position without having read and understood the complete terms.
EMERGENCY EARTH LEAVE
Staff requiring emergency Earth leave during their active rotation may apply for up to seven days leave through the HR team. Monthly salary continues throughout. The position is held.
Extensions beyond seven days require a formal request submitted before the initial seven days expires. A further seven days may be granted.
Extensions beyond fourteen days require a formal explanation and HR investigation, and are granted at Nova Technologies’ sole discretion up to the one-month limit.
Leave arising from childbirth or a change in caregiving circumstances is not treated under this limit. It is governed by the rotation terms in the eligibility section.
