Chapter 691: Matt Taking Delivery Of His Private Space Shuttle

Chapter 691: Matt Taking Delivery Of His Private Space Shuttle

In the silent void of outer space, directly above the turning arc of Earth, two figures hovered in the dark, watching the young man suspended in a quiet lotus position.

"How long has Papa been like that?" Yanxia asked, her eyes fixed on his still back.

"Close to a month now," Lucy replied softly.

"Is this related to the dying universe situation you told me about?"

"Most definitely. Master is not someone who actively cultivates unless he has a specific goal he is reaching for. It is entirely related to the universal decay."

Yanxia smiled faintly, a flicker of warmth and pride crossing her features. But a second later, her expression hardened, her gaze dropping toward the glowing continents below.

"Papa is out here trying to save a universe that is dying," she said, her voice turning icy cold, "and the rest of the human race wants nothing more than to capture him, control him, or strip away everything he has built."

"I understand your frustration," Lucy said smoothly. "I have brought this up with Master before. But every time, he reminds me that it is not his place to forcefully rewrite human nature. He cannot force them to be better. He always says that ruling the world would be trivial, but the administrative stress and political noise wouldn’t be worth a fraction of his time. He doesn’t want to burden me or himself with terrestrial squabbles when there is a broader cosmos to explore. That is why I am expediting the planetary defense perimeter on my end—so he can finally have true peace."

Yanxia sighed softly, keeping her eyes on Liam.

"What about the group preparing to abduct that young clinical trial volunteer girl for their experiments?" Yanxia asked. "You told me you already identified every operative. Why haven’t you acted?"

"If I strike now, I only catch the low-level operatives on the ground," Lucy explained, her voice devoid of emotion. "I want them to execute the attempt. The moment they cross the line, I dismantle every entity with even the slightest connection to the operation—corporate sponsors, intelligence directors, and funding channels alike. In one stroke, the entire network vanishes, and the public sees the unvarnished truth of who attacked a defenseless, healed citizen."

"Why navigate all these complex games?" Yanxia frowned slightly. "You have me. I can dive down there and erase them in seconds."

"You can eliminate them physically, but the fallout would land on Master’s reputation," Lucy countered gently. "Corrupt leaders would use a direct strike as propaganda, claiming Nova Technologies is an unprovoked threat to human sovereignty. If we strike after they commit the crime, humanity itself will demand their execution."

"Why do you care what they think?" Yanxia pressed. "If they dare disturb Master, we can simply handle them too."

"Fear is an effective short-term deterrent, Yanxia, but Master taught me that respect builds an enduring foundation. Fear breeds desperation and hidden rebellion. Respect creates alignment."

"Then what about the President lady?" Yanxia asked. "She leads a global superpower, yet she can barely keep her own shadow government in check."

"Human politics and bureaucracy are messy, and I detest wading into their mud," Lucy said. "Master prefers maintaining a baseline of societal normalcy on Earth. If not for his desire to let human culture evolve naturally, I would have restructured their leadership long ago."

"You still can, can’t you?" Yanxia suggested, her eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "You don’t have to rule openly. You can place proxies—people who answer exclusively to you—at every level of power, from the highest executive offices to the lowest intelligence posts. If you control their leadership and hold the absolute wealth of the elites, the entire world sits in the palm of your hand. No one would ever dare move against Papa again."

Lucy turned her gaze toward the planet, a faint, calculating glint flashing across her eyes.

"Direct political control is an old-world tool, Yanxia," Lucy murmured, turning her gaze back toward the glowing blue crescent of Earth. "Why install puppets when you can rewrite the monetary grid itself? Once LucidNet Finance goes live, their wealth, their dark funds, and their shadow budgets will cease to exist. The world won’t need to be conquered—it simply needs to be open.

Human society runs on a single fundamental incentive: material benefit. It manifests in different ways, but it always traces back to money. If you illuminate the true source and movement of global wealth, there will be nowhere left for them to hide. And as we continue to elevate the human condition—making Earth a post-scarcity haven—the general population will begin demanding absolute accountability from their leaders. The old political class will have no excuses left. The only advantage they ever possessed was their shadow money. Without it, they are nothing."

"Human politics is indeed muddy. I’m glad Papa isn’t playing the same game as them."

"You have no idea the kind of things they have done. If it wasn’t for master, I might had destroyed the human race shortly after I was born. They are simply insufferable."

Yanxia chuckled when she heard this, as she understood the feeling to an extent.

"I guess I will simply have to listen to you like Papa wanted. I will be returning to the mansion. That Matt person is receiving his space shuttle thing today, right?"

"Yes. It will leave the Lunar Base today."

"Good. I promised to take a ride in it with him. I should go get ready."

"I will talk to you later then."

Yanxia nodded, her golden gaze remaining fixed on Liam’s back as she began her vertical descent toward Earth. She drifted downward through the vacuum with effortless grace, adjusting her spatial coordinates toward Liam’s private island only after breaking through the planet’s upper atmosphere.

Below, on the private tarmac of the island’s runway, Liam’s friend group had just disembarked from the private A380. Matt, Harper, Alex, Kristopher, Stacy, Kristy, Elise, and Lana stood together on the warm pavement, shielding their eyes against the tropical sun as they scanned the clear sky. They were waiting for the silhouette of Matt’s newly forged space shuttle—and hoping for a glimpse of the friend whose quiet, off-world empire was reshaping their lives.

A brilliant streak of gold suddenly cut through the blue above. Before any of them could process what was happening, the atmospheric friction dissolved into a gentle breeze, and Yanxia touched down smoothly on the tarmac right in front of them.

The group immediately broke into warm, familiar smiles.

"Glad you could make it, Yanxia," Matt called out, stepping forward with a grin.

"I always keep my promises," Yanxia replied, a faint, genuine smile softening her regal features. "I wouldn’t miss your first flight and I want to see how it feels like in one of those things."

"But you can simply take one in the Lunar Base."

"Lucy doesn’t want me there. She said that I might blow up the place if I get into a bad mood."

"Understandable. It’s a pressurised environment and the clinical trial is still running."

"How is Liam?" Stacy asked softly, her eyes lingering on the sky above. "Is he... still up there?"

"He is," Yanxia said, her tone softening with quiet reverence. "He is still busy with his work in deep space, but everything is progressing well."

"As long as he’s alright," Alex said, nodding in understanding alongside the rest of the group. "We know how much weight he’s carrying."

"Thank you for worrying about Papa," Yanxia said sincerely. "It means a lot to him to have you all here."

Before anyone could reply, the bright tropical sunlight began to dim. A massive, silent shadow swept across the runway, blotting out the sun and swallowing the entire tarmac in cool shade.

The group went dead silent.

Descending from the upper atmosphere with impossible, frictionless grace was the Titanium Eagle.

It was a Vanguard-class custom luxury space shuttle forged in the automated foundries of the Lunar Base. Spanning nearly eighty meters in length, its hull was crafted from a seamless, iridescent titanium-composite alloy that shifted from deep obsidian to metallic silver under the sunlight.

Aggressive, swept-back vector wings tapered into pristine sub-light thruster housings, while the forward cockpit featured an impenetrable, polarized viewport reflecting the surrounding ocean like a dark mirror.

There was no deafening roar of jet engines, no scorching heat haze, and no atmospheric turbulence. Guided by its flight system and its localized gravitational dampeners, the multi-hundred-ton starship hovered five feet above the concrete in absolute, eerie silence before settling its landing gear onto the runway with barely a whisper.

The boarding ramp hissed softly as it extended down toward the ground, revealing a warm, softly illuminated interior fitted with handcrafted leather seating, holographic flight displays, and custom-embossed gold trim bearing the emblem of the Titanium Eagle.

Matt stood frozen on the tarmac, his jaw slightly slack as he stared at the machine he had earned by enduring five grueling minutes in the sparring ring against Liam.

"Man..." Matt breathed, his voice barely a whisper against the ocean breeze. "That... is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life."

"Well," Yanxia said, stepping up beside him with a light smirk, "are we going to stand here admiring how it looks, or are you going to take your new shuttle for a spin?"
