Chapter 1294: Making One Mistake

Chapter 1294: Making One Mistake

There were many that were now making their way to a particular Garden together, and the reason being, because there was one individual they knew they all had to put a stop to.

Just outside in the parking lot, a group of around eight hunters were standing around waiting for the order. They weren't too worried because of the hunters that were with them: Pluto, Blackjack, as well as the few who went inside.

They had guessed that maybe they would even be taking care of all of the trouble for them, until they saw the man in question walking towards them through the car park.

Casually, the muscular man, with spiked long hair down his back. It was almost like a rat tail, only thicker as it spread out, but as he walked, there was an air of confidence, as if he was in control of everything, including the air that was around him.

The hunters quickly turned to see the man, and Austin, who was with the group, instantly could feel all of the cells in his body react. There was no question in his mind, even though he had never seen a picture or had ever met this person before, he knew who it was.

'So this is him…this is Lupus, the head of the Lupus Pack, and the other Alpha Werewolf.' Austin was smiling.

In the past, going up against powerful opponents excited him, to see just how much he needed to bring out to get ahead with them, but even he, with his smile, there was an underlying tone of nervousness.

"Is that a civilian?" One of the hunters asked.

"Don't be an idiot, at this time of day, there would be no one else coming towards the Garden…quick, draw your weapons!"

Those that had ranged weapons pulled them out; immediately, the group had attacked the stranger heading toward him. Some fired bolts out of their crossbows. Others threw what looked like small grenades that would shoot out prods.

Then there were those who had thrown small daggers as well. The items were all electrified and propelled with great speed because, after all, they were weapons that were designed to be used on Altered.

As they came at the man in the air, there were too many of them for him to just avoid, but there was no need to. Lifting up his hand, he swiped it through the air. It was a single swipe; it didn't even seem to look that fast.

And yet, it had created such a powerful wind current that it had blown all of the items back, flinging them up in the air so not a single one had even touched his skin. The powerful wind current was felt as it hit the hunters, moving them back on their feet.

'Such strength…that he can move the wind like this?' Austin thought. 'This power that he has, and the air around him, it reminds me of Harvor…'

If Lupus truly was a foe as strong as Harvor, then Austin knew he would be in for a big surprise.

Seeing how their weapons didn't work, one of the nervous hunters couldn't take it anymore. With his sword drawn, he rushed forward; he ran charging ahead.

"AHHH!" the man screamed as he thrusted his sword right toward Lupus. He thrusted his sword forward, and again Lupus swung his arm; it hit the side of the sword and immediately broke out of his grip.

The sword had gone flying in the distance, and the group hadn't even seen where it had dropped.

The Altered hunter looked at Lupus right in the eyes; he could see a red glow, and then he only saw both of Lupus's hands lift up by the side of his head, until he saw nothing.

A loud bang sounded in the area, almost as if a car had dropped out of the sky. When the other hunters looked forward, all they could see was both of Lupus's hands together. He had made a clap, blood covered the outside, and a headless body was now on the floor.

"Did he just kill him, with a clap! With a freaking clap!"

"We can't win, that has to be Lupus, that has to be him, we need the five-star hunters, or Edvard here immediately!"

Looking at the body on the ground, Lupus grabbed the man's arm and placed his foot on its body and pulled. The arm had been torn right off from the body.

"I don't know whether I'm in a good mood or a bad mood," Lupus claimed. "My city is under attack, and the vampires have gone full force trying to stop me once again…but…you see, I can tell that my nephew has decided to pay me a visit."

Lupus hurled the arm through the air straight. He had hurled it so fast that it crashed right into another hunter's stomach; the arm was now lodged inside the hunter's body. That was two high-quality Altered hunters taken out in just a second.

Before they knew it, as the hunters looked up, another arm had been torn from the first hunter, and Lupus once again was ready. He reeled it back and hurled it through the air; it was heading towards the other hunters, and they were frozen in fear and at a loss of what to do.

Soon, they felt as if they would all perish, but one man had moved and stood in front of them. His fist hardened; he threw it out, hitting the arm right in its path. Two forces of power had caused the arm to explode, and trickles of blood fell onto the ground along with flesh.

It was not a pleasant sight to say the least.

"You made one mistake; you didn't expect me to be here," Austin said.
