Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 278: Blood in the Canyon

Chapter 278: Blood in the Canyon

The canyon was like a wound in the earth.

Its rock walls rose almost vertically on both sides, narrow and irregular, as if they had been torn apart by force. In many stretches, there was barely enough space for two people to pass side by side. The light barely reached the bottom, creating dense and deep shadows.

Kyrian entered first.

He did not hide his presence. He did not try to soften his steps. He did not reduce his energy.

He walked as if he were entering his own territory.

His steps were firm. Calm and controlled.

Behind him, Bai Zhu, Kai, Yan Ling, Li Fen, and Mei Li followed in silence. The five also did not hide their Qi. The blood energy that emanated made the air heavier, more oppressive.

It was a clear statement.

They were not there to play. They were there to execute.

Kyrian’s eyes glowed faintly in the dimness. Purple. Deep. The lightning-shaped pupils pulsed slowly..

Every movement around was recorded.

The canyon was not just narrow. It was complex. Irregular curves, jagged walls, small cracks, and elevations that created perfect points for ambushes.

Kyrian knew that. And precisely because of that... he did not care.

They advanced for about ten minutes. The silence was absolute.

Then...

A hiss cut through the air.

An arrow emerged from a high crevice in the right wall, descending at a precise angle, straight toward Kyrian’s face.

The tip shone with a sickly green. Poison.

Kyrian merely tilted his head slightly.

The arrow passed a few centimeters from his face and embedded itself in the rock behind him.

At the same instant, Li Fen disappeared.

His body surged forward like a shadow. A dark blur climbing the rocky wall with minimal support.

The archer did not even have time to react. A blade of blood appeared in Li Fen’s hand.

A single movement. Dry. Silent.

The watcher’s throat was opened before any sound could escape. The body fell from the crevice and hit the canyon floor heavily.

Li Fen landed right after, wiping the blood from the blade with a quick motion.

"One down." He said quietly.

Kyrian did not respond.

He simply kept walking. The message had already been sent. They had entered.

...

The terrain began to change.

The canyon stopped being just narrow and gradually began to open. The walls were still high, but the space between them widened, descending like a natural ravine.

And then... they saw.

An improvised camp. Tents were set up in a hurry. Campfires are still burning. Open crates. Equipment scattered.

And people. Many people. All already standing. Alerted. Weapons in hand.

Their eyes immediately turned to Kyrian and the others.

And the instant they recognized the garments... and felt the blood Qi...

Their expressions changed. Some paled. Others clenched their teeth. But all understood. The Blood Court had arrived.

Kyrian descended the ravine without hurry.

The other five spread out behind him, forming a curved line, ready.

On the other side, the Luo family’s formation was already established.

At the center... Luo Zhenshan.

Tall. Broad shoulders. Thick beard. His robe was worn, but his presence was still oppressive. In his hands, a red-shafted spear spun slowly.

His eyes were fixed on Kyrian. Calculating.

At his right... Luo Fang, with two curved swords, body tense like a spring about to snap.

At the left... Luo Mei, fingers loaded with thin needles, her gaze cold and precise.

Right behind... Luo Jianguo. Sweat ran down his forehead. He knew. He knew that this situation... was the direct consequence of his actions.

The five elite cultivators were spread around. Firm... but clearly nervous.

And further back... some lesser lackeys. Useless.

Luo Zhenshan took a step forward.

"You came quickly." His voice was rough.

"Faster than I expected."

Kyrian stopped about ten meters away. He did not respond.

Zhenshan continued, trying to buy time.

"I know who you are. Blood Court."

He tightened his grip on the spear.

"If there’s a way to negotiate—"

"You killed four disciples of the Court."

The voice that interrupted him was not Kyrian’s. It was Bai Zhu’s. Low and cold. Without emotion.

He took a step forward.

"That’s all that matters."

Silence. The air seemed to grow even heavier.

Luo Zhenshan narrowed his eyes.

"So... there is no conversation."

No one answered. It was not necessary.

And then...

Everything exploded. Luo Fang was the first to act.

His body vanished in a blur. The two swords cut through the air in a cross, aiming directly at Kyrian’s neck.

He had chosen the wrong target, judging him to be the weakest of the group.

Kyrian did not move. He only raised his left hand.

A small purple flash appeared between his fingers.

The impact was dry. Like a contained thunder. The blades stopped in midair. For an instant... time seemed to freeze.

Then... The swords cracked.

In the next instant, they shattered into dozens of fragments.

Luo Fang’s eyes widened. But Kyrian was already in front of him.

One step. A single touch.

His index finger touched Luo Fang’s chest. A tiny purple lightning jumped.

Silent, but lethal. Luo Fang’s body froze. Black veins began to spread across his skin.

He tried to scream. No sound came out. His body fell forward.

Dead.

For half a second, silence reigned.

Then...

"RAAAAAAH!" Luo Zhenshan roared.

His spear exploded with red Qi, spinning in a devastating arc.

Kyrian did not retreat.

He raised his right hand. His eyes glowed. Thunder echoed. The spear stopped mid-strike.

It bent. Cracked. And exploded into shards. Zhenshan stepped back, shocked.

"What kind of—"

Kyrian was already in front of him. His hand grabbed the man’s neck. Lightning danced around his fingers.

Zhenshan tried to react. His Qi... did not respond. It was blocked. Paralyzed.

Kyrian tilted his head slightly. Interested.

Then... He squeezed. Luo Zhenshan’s body fell.

Two seconds, two dead.

And then the rest... collapsed. Panic spread. But it was already too late.

Kyrian released the body and simply... turned away. He no longer needed to act. Now... it was up to them.

Bai Zhu advanced like an avalanche. His fists crushed defense and bones without distinction.

Kai faced Luo Mei directly, his movements fast, precise, and lethal.

Yan Ling and Li Fen danced across the field like predators.

And Mei Li...

Controlled the field like a mist of blood.

In less than a minute... It was over. The canyon returned to silence.

But now... filled with bodies. Kyrian slowly walked to the center of the camp.

His eyes returned to gray. The lightning disappeared.

He looked around. No survivors.

The mission had been completed.
