Chapter 453: Foundation (2)
Chapter 453: Foundation (2)
Kyrian needed something capable of nourishing his entire body. Something capable of strengthening his muscles, making them faster, stronger, more resilient.
His bones, harder, denser. His flesh, more alive, more regenerative. His blood, purer, more powerful.
Something capable of accompanying him to the higher realms.
Then, he began to work.
The first attempt was simple. Direct and brutal.
He tried to force the connection.
He used his will to push the Qi of the Mirrored Third Eye directly into the meridians, a straightforward approach, without subtlety, without care.
The result came immediately.
Pain.
A sharp pain shot through his forehead, as if something were being torn from the inside, as if his own tissues were refusing to cooperate.
The meridians rejected the energy.
It was like trying to fit together two incompatible pieces, like putting the wrong key into a lock, like forcing open a door that did not want to open.
The Qi crashed against the walls of the spiritual channels, a violent, destructive impact, like a wave breaking against a cliff.
A shockwave traveled through his body, vibrating through his bones, muscles, and nerves, leaving a trail of pain in its wake.
Kyrian groaned, a low, muffled sound.
Blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, a red thread running down his chin and dripping onto his robe.
Small cracks appeared in the new dantian, fissures as thin as strands of hair, threatening to undo all the work he had done.
He stopped immediately. Took a deep breath. Waited a few minutes.
Then, he opened his eyes.
“It doesn’t work.”
Forcing it was impossible.
The second attempt was different. More careful. Slower.
This time, he tried to use the energy channels that had been created in his body during the reconstruction.
The same pathways used by normal cultivators.
He guided a small amount of Qi slowly. Millimeter by millimeter, each advance was a victory. Centimeter by centimeter, each step was an achievement.
This time, there was progress. The Qi managed to move forward. It managed to circulate.
It managed to pass through some channels, the nearest ones, the most accessible ones.
But… it was slow. Ridiculously slow.
It felt like water flowing through a narrow straw, each drop a struggle, each movement an effort.
The circulation became inefficient. Unstable. Limited.
It worked, technically. But it was useless.
A dantian of that level would never be able to sustain advanced techniques that way.
Kyrian sighed, a long, weary sigh.
Another failure. Another discarded attempt.
Silence returned to the room.
The night advanced slowly, the light formations casting soft shadows across the walls, creating patterns that shifted as time passed, as if the room itself were breathing.
Kyrian remained seated. Thinking. Analyzing. Reviewing everything he knew.
The eyes, their origin, their nature, their purpose. The meridians, their structure, their function, their limitations. The Heaven Bone, its power, its connection, its significance.
Then… something caught his attention.
The Heaven Bone.
His body was not normal. It was no longer an ordinary human body.
Some time ago, while he was still in the volcanic mountain ranges, his body had been completely reconstructed.
The energy channels had been remade. Transformed. Elevated.
The ordinary meridians had been formed. But they were no longer the core of his system.
There were new pathways. New channels. Channels created by the Heaven Bone. Wider, capable of carrying more Qi. Stronger, capable of enduring greater pressure. More perfect, designed for an existence that transcended the ordinary.
Kyrian’s eyes lit up.
“I understand.”
He had been making a mistake from the very beginning. He had been trying to connect the dantian to the wrong system. When he should have been using the new one.
So, he tried again.
Third attempt. The Qi moved. This time, not toward the ordinary meridians. But toward the channels created by the Heaven Bone.
Instantly. Something changed.
The small core vibrated, a gentle vibration, like a string being pulled taut.
A strange sensation spread through his body, a tingling that began in his forehead and spread in every direction, as if the energy itself were awakening within him.
There was no rejection. No resistance. No conflict.
For the first time… everything felt natural. As if that connection had always been meant to exist.
As if something lost had finally found its place.
The Qi advanced. Traveled through the channels. Reached his shoulders. His arms, sparks of energy running through his muscles. His chest, a sensation of warmth spreading through his heart. His back, a tingling along his spine. His legs, a new strength emerging within his muscles.
His entire body.
Kyrian’s eyes widened.
“It worked. It really worked.”
But the most impressive part came afterward. When the connection was completed. He felt it. Something he had never felt before.
For his entire life… the eyes and his body had been separate entities.
The eyes were extraordinary. Divine. Mysterious.
His body was merely a mortal vessel, capable, but limited.
It was like carrying an incomprehensible treasure inside something incapable of keeping up with it.
The eyes evolved. The body tried to catch up. There had always been a distance. A separation. An invisible barrier.
Now… no. Now everything was connected. The eyes. The third dantian. The Heaven Bone channels. His body.
Everything was part of the same system.
It was like watching two isolated mountains being connected by a gigantic bridge, a connection that transformed what had once been separate into something unified.
Like two pieces of a puzzle finally fitting together, filling the void that had always existed between them.
Like separate rivers finding a common ocean, joining into something greater.
Kyrian felt a wave of satisfaction.
A deep sensation, difficult to describe, but undeniably real.
Finally. Everything was complete. Or at least… the foundation.
He decided to test it.
He activated the Eyes of Lightning. Instantly, the Mirrored Third Eye transformed.
Lightning Qi. Pure. Violet. Vibrant.
But this time, something different happened. The lightning did not remain only within the eyes.
Small sparks traveled through his arms, violet and dancing.
They slid across his fingers, an electric tingling.
They coursed through his muscles, bringing a sensation of strength. His entire body was enhanced.
Without effort. Without resistance. Without loss.
Kyrian slowly raised one hand.
Sparks danced across his skin, tiny violet bolts leaping from one finger to another, creating a low, constant hum.
