Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 571: Special Item (3)

Chapter 571: Special Item (3)

“Three hundred thousand.”

His voice instantly traveled through the room’s spiritual formation, a technology that amplified and projected the words of its occupants. But before reaching the auction hall, it was completely altered by the room’s system. It became deep and neutral, a voice that offered no clue about age, gender, or identity.

The only thing that was obvious, the only clue available to those present, was its origin. The voice came from the room located above all the other private boxes, the highest and most exclusive place in the entire building.

Silence fell over the entire hall like a heavy cloak.

For several seconds, absolutely no one spoke. The air itself seemed to have frozen, every breath suspended.

Then the murmurs erupted, a wave of speculation sweeping through the audience.

“That direction…”

“It’s the Sky Family’s exclusive room!”

“A member of the Sky Family is here!”

“Could it be the Heir of the Heavens? Or one of the great elders?”

“I’ve never seen that room being used… it’s the first time in years!”

Even the occupants of the VIP boxes exchanged subtle glances, their expressions ranging from surprise to concern. Some frowned, calculating the implications. Others simply sighed in resignation.

An old patriarch, seated in an elaborately decorated private box, let out a small chuckle and shook his head.

“Give up.” His tone was calm, yet carried unquestionable authority.

“It’s not worth competing with the Sky Family for an item.”

Beside him, a young disciple asked in a low voice, his ambition not yet completely extinguished.

“But maybe we could…”

The old man merely shook his head, a final gesture.

“Perhaps we could, if we were willing to spend a fortune our sect cannot afford. But why? Offend the Sky Family over a single Beast Storage Pouch?” His voice grew quieter.

“It isn’t worth the risk. The Sky Family isn’t just powerful, they remember everything. An offense today could become a problem for generations.”

Within moments, practically every participant reached the same conclusion. The competition for the item died before it could truly begin. The hall remained completely silent, the atmosphere filled with respect and caution.

The auctioneer waited a few seconds, her eyes sweeping across the audience in search of any new bid. None came. She smiled professionally, a smile that concealed a trace of disappointment at the final price.

“Three hundred thousand…” She paused briefly, her hammer raised.

“Going once.”

The silence remained unbroken.

“Three hundred thousand… Going twice.”

Still no one answered. The item was secured.

She raised the small hammer in a theatrical gesture.

“Three hundred thousand…”

‘TOCK!’

“Sold!”

A round of polite applause echoed throughout the hall, a courteous acknowledgment of the transaction. Yet many eyes still turned toward the lofty room, trying in vain to glimpse something through the spiritual glass.

Inside the exclusive room, Kyrian merely gave a subtle nod, a gesture so slight it was almost imperceptible. The price was within what he considered reasonable. He had saved a considerable portion of his resources since arriving at the Sky Caravan, and this was an investment well worth making.

It was a practical investment. From now on, he could travel without relying on spiritual stables, without the constant worry of finding suitable shelter for his companion.

Moreover, if he encountered new beasts during his future adventures, which was more likely than it seemed, he would already have a proper place for them.

Gao Ziyue looked at him, a spark of curiosity shining in her eyes.

“What kind of horse do you have?” The question was simple, but filled with genuine interest.

“A Winged Horse,” Kyrian replied, his voice carrying a touch of affection that rarely surfaced.

She blinked in surprise.

“Just that?” The words escaped before she could stop herself, and she quickly corrected herself.

“I mean… isn’t it a particularly rare horse?”

Kyrian smiled faintly, a smile meant more for himself than for her.

“Just that.” He took another sip of wine before continuing.

“It isn’t especially rare, it doesn’t have a legendary bloodline, and it doesn’t possess extraordinary abilities. But it’s been with me for a long time. Since before I arrived at the Sky Caravan.”

His voice became softer, more personal.

“It’s fast, intelligent, and extremely dependable. And unlike many rare beasts, it doesn’t have a difficult temperament. It’s loyal.”

His tone remained calm and composed, as always. Yet Gao Ziyue noticed something rare, a hint of tenderness hidden within his words, a genuine affection he seldom revealed.

She smiled, a smile that brightened her entire face.

“I’m sure it’ll be happy with its new home. A Earth-Grade Beast Storage Pouch is far more comfortable than any spiritual stable you’ll find.”

Kyrian nodded. He believed so as well.

As they spoke, attendants quietly began preparing the delivery of the spiritual pouch. The transaction would soon be completed, and the item would be brought to them with the discretion required by Gao Ziyue’s status.

Outside, however, the auction showed no signs of slowing down. New treasures continued to appear on the stage, each more impressive than the last. Fresh bids echoed through the hall, the competition renewing itself with every item. The crowd gradually shifted its attention back to the new treasures, and the fascination with the Sky Family’s room slowly faded.

Even so, from time to time, a few people still cast curious glances upward, trying to imagine who was seated inside the mysterious room. Was it the Heir of the Heavens herself? One of the family’s legendary elders? Or perhaps some distinguished guest, someone important enough to deserve such an honor?

Naturally, it was impossible to see anything through the spiritual glass. The one-way vision formation worked flawlessly, protecting the occupants’ privacy while granting them a privileged view of the event.

Inside, however, the atmosphere remained calm, isolated from the commotion of the outside world. Wine continued to be poured from the bottle, its level slowly decreasing. The spiritual fruits remained almost untouched, their surfaces gleaming beneath the light. And two young people chatted quietly, their voices low and intimate, while watching one of the Sky Caravan’s greatest auctions unfold before their eyes.

Gao Ziyue’s Heart Demon still existed, a shadow upon her soul that would not disappear easily. Azhura’k remained in chains, his suffering an open wound in her heart. None of that had changed that night.

But inside that room, illuminated by the lanterns of the Celestial Descent Festival, she no longer felt as though she carried all that weight completely alone. Someone was by her side who understood, who accepted, who did not judge. And that, simple as it seemed, was more than she had had in decades.

Without either of them consciously realizing it, the distance between them grew a little smaller with every conversation. Every shared word, every comfortable silence, every moment of mutual understanding wove an invisible thread between them, a connection that quietly grew stronger, like a plant taking root in fertile soil.

The night was still long, and the auction continued. But in that moment, inside that room, time itself seemed to have stopped.

And both of them were exactly where they wanted to be.
