Chapter 623: Qi Liberation Realm in the Third Dantian (4)
The sensation of power was evident, an underground current flowing through his meridians, but Kyrian did not allow it to go to his head. He was still only at the first stage, and there was still a long road ahead. A very long one.
His eyes turned toward the sky, beyond the walls of the Sky Caravan, where countless stars shone in the void like distant beacons. Somewhere beyond the horizon lay the Central Region, the heart of the cultivator world.
And there were also forces far more powerful than anything he had encountered up to that point, elders who had lived for centuries, sects with the power to move mountains, and treasures capable of changing the fate of entire nations.
There were still a few years before he would get there. But Kyrian knew those years would pass quickly, each day bringing new challenges, new opportunities, and new lessons.
Before that, he needed to continue strengthening his foundation, he needed to master spiritual forging, advance in alchemy, and understand his eyes better and better. And, above all, he needed to continue cultivating.
He lowered his gaze, his attention returning to the three dantians pulsing within him. They were not yet at the same level, the first and second were far ahead of the third.
But one of them had taken another step, drawing closer to the harmony he sought. When the three were finally aligned, when each of them operated at the same level of power, Kyrian could not help but imagine the strength he would possess.
A cultivator with an extraordinary Innate Talent. Eyes capable of seeing structures others could not, of comprehending techniques at their essence, and of perceiving Qi flows that most cultivators did not even know existed.
Eyes capable of utilizing different attributes, adapting his energy to the needs of the moment.
A Bone of Heaven within his body, granting him a control and understanding of the law of fire that bordered on the supernatural.
And three abnormally powerful dantians, each one a source of energy that rivaled cultivators of higher realms.
The thought alone was enough to make him smile, a vision of what he could become that warmed his chest. But Kyrian quickly restrained his excitement, his disciplined mind reminding him of reality.
“It is still too early.” He murmured, his voice low in the quiet of the night.
The path of cultivation was infinite, a road stretching beyond the endless horizon. The Qi Liberation Realm was nothing more than another step, a single step in a journey that would last decades, perhaps centuries.
Next would come Core Formation, the condensation of his energy into a solid core.
Then, Spiritual Awakening, the awakening of his true essence. And then, even greater realms, more powerful, more distant.
He did not know how far he would go, nor could he predict what the future held. But he knew one thing with absolute certainty, he had no intention of stopping.
Kyrian looked one last time at the mark on the wall, the silent testament to his advancement. Then he turned and entered the small house, the door closing behind him with a soft click.
Outside, the Caravan continued to shine beneath the night sky, thousands of cultivators still trying to discover who had caused that enormous disturbance in the Qi.
None of them knew that the person responsible had already finished his breakthrough, that the storm of energy had calmed as quickly as it had begun. None of them knew that, in that small residence, a young man had just taken another step toward a path that could eventually reach heights that no one in that Caravan could even imagine.
Kyrian lay down, his body relaxing against the mattress. He closed his eyes, and darkness enveloped him like a familiar cloak. This time, however, he did not fall asleep immediately, his mind still clinging to a single sensation, the new power circulating through the Third Mirrored Eye like a newly discovered river.
A faint smile appeared on his lips, a smile meant more for himself than for anyone else. And, beneath the silence of the night, the young man began to rest, his body and mind recovering from the effort of the breakthrough.
Tomorrow would be a new day, filled with new challenges, new opportunities, and new discoveries. But that night, Kyrian allowed himself to simply exist, feeling the flow of energy coursing through his meridians.
The path of cultivation was long, but every step brought him closer to his destiny and ultimate goal, becoming stronger and stronger.
…
The next morning, Kyrian awoke before the first rays of sunlight had completely reached the Sky Caravan.
He slowly opened his eyes, remaining lying down for a few seconds as he felt his own body. The Qi circulated calmly through his meridians, and the Third Mirrored Eye remained stable on his forehead. The breakthrough from the previous night had not left any negative consequences.
Kyrian stood up and opened the door.
The fresh morning air entered the small residence, carrying with it the spiritual energy of the Caravan. The Festival had not yet fully awakened. The streets were much quieter than usual, although some merchants were already beginning to prepare their stalls.
Before leaving, Kyrian decided to prepare something to drink.
Inside the courtyard, he took some spiritual herbs from his spatial ring and placed a small kettle on a stone table. They were not particularly precious herbs, but they possessed calming properties and helped keep the mind alert.
He added water, a few green leaves, and a small flower with white petals.
Soon after, a gentle aroma spread throughout the courtyard.
Kyrian poured himself a cup and drank slowly.
The flavor was slightly bitter at first, followed by a subtle sweetness that lingered on the tongue. He closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the tranquility of that morning.
After finishing the tea, he put the kettle away and returned inside.
It did not take long for him to prepare.
Today was the day of the Alchemy competition final.
Kyrian left the courtyard and closed the gate behind him. Then he began walking through the streets of the Sky Caravan, heading toward the enormous arena where the finalists would face one another.
As he walked, his gaze remained calm.
Among hundreds of competitors, only a few had made it to this point.
And now, finally, he would discover who would be the winner.
