Chapter 314 Chen Li's Informant

[ Club Center ]

Standing outside of the club center building, Lai Yun waited till Chen Li came out so she could tell her what she discovered about Xiao Fang like she asked her to.

Seeing Chen Li eventually walk out, Lai Yun opened her mouth to call out her name, but stopped herself when they made eye contact.

Lai Yun quickly approached Chen Li then reported to her everything she saw while she was with Xiao Fang yesterday, but Chen Li didn't seem impressed.

"Is that all?" Chen Li asked.

Lai Yun stuttered as she tried to find something to say, but Chen Li eventually got tired of it and scoffed.

"Seems you really aren't worth recruiting into the White Jade guild," Chen Li said before walking past Lai Yun.

Joining the White Jade guild was the only thing she wanted since getting into the Inner Court. Despite being a Phoenix-Class disciple, at the rate she was progressing, there was a slip to no chance that she'd make it to the Core Court unless she became a member of the White Jade guild.

She thought there was nothing she could do about it now, she already told Chen Li everything that happened yesterday, even the humiliating bits, but none of it interested her.

'Long Wang!' Lai Yun thought angrily, but thinking about him made her remember something seemingly insignificant.

"Wait, there's one more thing," Lai Yun said, reluctant to let things end this way.

"If there's more than just spit it out, but don't waste my time," Chen Li said almost threateningly.

Lai Yun felt a slight chill go down her spine, but she didn't back down.

"He's... not blind. His blindfold... he can see through it."

There was a long pause. The confidence Lai Yun had was suddenly gone, and she was starting to feel like a fool. She thought only an idiot would think he was really blind because otherwise it would be impossible for him to do the things he's doing.

Unexpectedly, Chen Li's straight face turned to a condescending smirk, then giggle, then an uncontrollable laughter bursted from her pretty lips till there were tears in her eyes.

"You're saying he can see? With what eyes?! Hahahaha" Chen Li continued to laugh as if she heard the funniest joke in the world. "I hate to break it to you, but you really did get beaten by a blind man," Chen Li tapped Lai Yun's shoulder as she wiped her own tears of laughter.

"I'm telling the truth. I saw them."

Chen Li just laughed louder to her words.

"They were such a strange color too," Lai Yun said

"Transparent isn't a color, just so you know."

"I really did see them, and they weren't transparent, they were violet!" Lai Yun said while stomping her foot in frustration.

Unexpectedly the laughter stopped.

"You definitely said, violet just now. Does he really have violet eyes."

Lai Yun didn't expect Chen Li to react that way.

"Ah... Mn, his eyes were really violet," Lai Yun said nervously.

"Take me to him, I need to see it for myself."

Lai Yun didn't waste anytime in taking her to the Nameless Guild. From the looks of it, she had given her a valuable piece of information, so her hope of joining the White Jade guild was no longer lost.

Meanwhile at the Nameless Guild, 4 girls had looks of defeat on their faces while the other Li family clansmen were all murmuring about how incredible Xiao Fang's martial arts was.

"Who is he? Why haven't I heard of his name before."

"He's only attacking pressure points. What family do we know that only specializes in that?"

"He beat 5 of our greatest fighters one after the other. Is he even human?"

In the Black Paradise sect, the Li family were the ones who specialized in martial arts, so since they were the ones who represented the Black Paradise sect's martial art's team, they were also famous across the country for their fighting abilities.

Although Xiao Fang had defeated 5 of the most talented martial artist from the Li Family guild,  the first girl to attack him was defeated before the challenge was made, so Li ChangYing still had one person left to fight Xiao Fang.

Looking at the girls Xiao Fang defeated, they could only return apologetic gazes or looks of embarrassment.

'To think that it would come to this... that boy really isn't ordinary. Either way, we need that book back for the sake of the Li family name,' Li ChangYing thought.

"Is that the best the Li Family guild has to offer? I must say I'm a bit disappointed," Xiao Fang said.

"You're talented for your age, I'll give you that. But you still have a long way to go. You're final opponent will be me," Li ChangYing said.

Hope was finally restored in the eyes of the Li family clansmen when they saw Li ChangYing step up to Xiao Fang. As amazing as he was, even Su Lingxi couldn't help but think that Xiao Fang wouldn't last even a single second against Li ChangYing.

"That's not fair," the girls from Xiao Fang's Nameless Guild expressed their frustration.

Simply saying they were amazed by Xiao Fang's martial arts skills was not enough to explain how impressed they were of him to this point, but Li ChangYing was a Dragon-Class disciples so this was more than unfair.

Many of the Dragon-Class disciples had already learned a new level of the Illusory Body method, so even if Li ChangYing reduced her Body cultivation realm to match Xiao Fang, her illusions alone would make it impossible for him to win. Or so they thought. However, seeing Xiao Fang prepare himself, they became silent to see how the fight would unfold.

Even Zhao Pan, who was still waiting in the trees behind the Li Family clansmen, felt like Xiao Fang was biting off more than he could chew, but she never expected him to win against the other 5 girls, so she didn't know what to expect.

Still blindfolded, sensing Li ChangYing step up to him as his opponent, Xiao Fang's expression changed as if he had been waiting for her all along.

Lowering her body cultivation to the Body Core realm, Li ChangYing said,

"I'm coming."
