Chapter 851: Farewell And Welcome
Chapter 851: Farewell And Welcome
As morning arrived, Raven found himself not in the same room as he remembered himself to have slept in, instead it was Diane’s inn–the Bricks and Cobbles. Having forgotten the walk to the inn, he only remembered little of the night. Looking around, even the faces of Diane and her family felt foreign for a moment before he realized what was happening.
He was in Diane’s room with her, Lana, and Zoey. To avoid causing too much chaos, they had left the perverse business and came back for a more intimate night. After having spent some time in each other’s arms and in and outside each other’s bodies, they had fallen asleep without realizing it.
The night was a blur, but what happens now that it was the morning was clear as crystal. Everyone else had already gone to Athenia to enjoy their vacation, and with him being the last, it was time for him to leave as well. Perhaps Maria was still gathering the rest. Maybe Jenna wasn’t coming down from Aesteradia. And who knows if Gallaria will come again to the get-together soon to be held by the Duke ’Phordite.
Either way, he had to be there. And now was his chance to leave with an invite. But first, taking a quick bath, he rid himself of last night’s scents. Feeling refreshed after a while, Raven came out to find Diane, Zoey, and Lana wandering around in their room with yawns and stretched, cracking everywhere.
Despite being just as tired as him, they had to prepare for another day’s worth of work. A tiring task lay on an already tired body, but compared to fighting horrors, anything felt like a blessing.
"I have to go soon." As his words echoed in their ears, the girls turned to face him. Still grasping the meaning behind what he’d said, they raised their eyebrows quickly. "I’ll send word for you guys to come to the mansion. We’re going to have a reunion with everyone."
In silence, the girls looked at each other. Something felt off about the offer, and so, taking a step forward, Diane looked Raven in the eyes and asked.
"Are you going to another war? Is that why everyone is coming to this... reunion?" Giving her a nod, Raven placed a hand on her shoulder right as she let out a gasp. Horror had gripped the women’s hearts. They knew what was possible, and for Raven to arrange a get-together, it only meant one thing. "I-is it dangerous? Will you or anyone else die during–"
Placing a finger on her lips, the hero hushed her. Shaking his head and squeezing her shoulder, he assured her that nothing of that sort was about to happen.
"Nobody will die," drawing a deep breath, he tried to convince himself that such would be the case. "Nobody will die, I promise you. Once this is over, we will live together in a quiet place where nobody else can disturb us."
"You promise?" She asked, and he nodded.
Leaning closer, she pressed their lips into a kiss. Her body still bare, she pressed herself flat against him. With a tightened grip around his neck and her fingers running through his hair, Diane let her tongue in. For a while, the smacking of her wet and desperate lips rang in everyone’s ears. Showing no signs of stopping, it almost felt as if Diane didn’t want Raven to leave.
But all good things come to an end, and when their lips broke free, Raven turned his gaze to the other two and bid them farewell.
"I’ll see you in Athenia then," reaching for his necklace, he gripped it tight. "Say hello to the ticket collector for me. Haven’t seen that bird in a while."
Parting ways with light jest, the hero disappeared into a mist of blue light. Coming to his senses on the other side, Raven landed not in his mansion or by one of his companions’ side, but rather at the Red Madam–the shop and not the person herself. Noticing the bright light that had just disappeared, the owner rushed to the scene and instantly noticed the hero standing in the middle of her shop.
"Oh, I wasn’t expecting a visit from you, young Duke." Getting closer to him with squinted brows, she tried to hide her excitement, for she knew why he would grace her with a visit. Clasping her hand at her side, the Red Madam wore a faint smirk as she asked. "More clothing, I take it? When and for whom? Do I have the measurements already? If so, tell me, and I shall drop my other clients–for you–sir duke, are my favorite customer~."
Charisma oozed from her tongue; she was thoroughly excited for a challenge. A ballroom dress? Another swimsuit? Something custom for the monster girls? The very thought sends a rush through her skin. Beaming bright as the sun, she placed one hand on her hip and leaned to the side, waiting for Raven to say something.
"Actually, yeah, I want you to design some clothes for us," he responded, placing the necklace back inside his shirt.
"And how many are included in that, us?" The Madam inquired with a curious tilt to her head.
"Everyone..."
"Everyone?" Blinking a few times, she was at a loss for words. But it wasn’t long before that confusion turned to enthusiasm. "Marvelous! Ahaha~!"
Clapping her hands, she quickly looked around and snapped her fingers at her apprentices. Drawing their eyes on her, she erratically gestured to them in code, and like clockwork, the girls scattered and started gathering material for a brand new contract of clothes.
"Well then, I have so many questions for you." Facing Raven yet again, she leaned forward and motioned for him to follow her into her office. "Why don’t we take a seat? Have some coffee and talk about what exactly you need? Well, I will add my creative flair, but I still need to know your taste for each of your women and underlings."
"Lead the way," Raven responded with a nod.
And so began their many-hour-long discussion, from the fabric chosen to the ways the dress would enhance the women’s allure.
