Chapter 890: And On Goes Life(18+)

The voyage at last had begun, and the tridents now sailed across the hell’s ocean. Soaring through the skies at an incredible speed, even faster than known dragons, they made more progress in hours than most ships could make in weeks. However, the speed gave way to some tremble under the occupant’s feet. And some were either already sick or struggling to rest or find their footing. Floating in the air was one thing, and standing on a platform soaring through the air was something else entirely.

Even Linkle was struggling, and she’d spent most of her life soaring in the astral seas. The tridents may have been sturdy and efficient, but when set on voyage, they were anything but comfortable and liable to upset one’s belly. But the few strong enough and with an iron stomach were leisurely cruising about with the view of the ocean visible through the window or the sound of the storms echoing in the background, with their backs comfortably resting on their beds.

Raven was not one of them. His body was holding strong enough, but his mind still wandered as he sat at the edge of his bed. Sitting bare of clothes with only a blanket covering his groin, the hero stared at the carpet on the ground, all the while, Shamisha’s wet step grew closer and closer. Even as she stood behind him, drying her wet hair with a towel, the hero did not move or flinch to the splatter of cold water showering over his back.

His girlfriend, however, couldn’t help but stare at his marred back. The tone of his muscles sang testament to his past achievement, and yet the hunched-over comportment painted a grim picture. Uncertainty had clouded the hero’s mind, and although he only ever showed strength in front of everyone, a part of him had obviously died.

"Hey..." Placing a cold, wet hand on his shoulder, Shamisha tried to get his attention. "Something on your mind, babe?"

Lifting his head, Raven washed the grim look off his face in an instant. Smiling at Shamisha, he grabbed her hand and planted a gentle kiss on top.

"Nothing, I was just–spacing out." Leaning closer to his face, Shamisha kissed him on the forehead and whispered.

"Is this about the children?" Holding his gaze with her, she took a deep breath and sighed with dropped shoulders. "We can hope for the best and prepare for the worst, Raven. That’s all we can do, and if it bothers you this much, maybe I can create some children for you? Like I did for Lana and Diane with Zoey."

Gently moving her away, Raven shook his head with his eyes closed. Taking a moment to collect himself, the hero opened them again.

"I’ll be fine, I just hope that Maria’s assessment turns out to be true and we can still save the children." Grabbing his hand once more, Shamisha gave it a comforting squeeze. Consequently, the contraction of her arm muscles loosened her towel, making it fall and revealing her semi-augmented body.

Though still mostly flesh, her limbs were sectioned by pulsing blue lines with mechanical augmentations. Some served as a source of mana circuit throughout her naturally manaless body, others were mere cosmetic changes like making her thighs look thicker. Her rear was just as pronounced with blue separation lines at the edges; the same went for her breasts, although the enlargement of the breasts had caused her skin to become slightly more translucent and her breast veins more visible.

"Wanna take a shower together?" She asked, offering him a hand while smiling.

"I thought you took one already?" Raven responded, but that didn’t stop the bunny girl from lifting him off the bed.

As Raven stood up, Shamisha’s gaze climbed down his chest until it fell on his dick. Not hard yet and still more impressive than most men, it made her heart skip a beat, and her hand slowly reached for its girth. Letting go of Raven’s fingers and instead holding him by his dick, a smirk crept up the otherwise shy bunnygirl.

"I won’t mind accompanying you," getting closer to him until their chests were touching, she heaved a panting breath onto his face. "Maybe help you get your mind off your trouble while we still have the time? Who knows when we get an opportunity like this, baby~."

"I–" The grim reminder of what could happen even to Shamisha if he were to somehow impregnate her haunted the hero for a good minute, but then, as the bunny girl took his lips without any more delay, Raven couldn’t help but lean into her arms and also pulled her closer. "I guess I can spare a few more minutes before I have to return to–"

"Raven?" The buzzing voice erupting through the voice duct startled the two lovebirds. Separating in an instant, their eyes turned to the voice duct as Maria’s voice continued to erupt. "You’re needed at the meeting hall. Wherever you are, come quickly, I’ve found some stupid infiltrators."

"Infiltrators?" The two mumbled in unison, beyond confused as to who would even dare to attempt a break-in on a vessel full of enemy soldiers. However, their confusion didn’t last long as another pair of voices bled in through the voice ducts.

"Mom! I just wanted to come as well! You never take me anywhere!"

"I-I tried to stop her!"

A single listen was enough for the hero to deduce just who it was. And thus, with a facepalm, he shook his head and turned to his scattered clothes to collect them.

"Who is it?" Shamisha asked, still confused about the whole ordeal.

Heaving a sigh of utter defeat, Raven looked her in the eye and whispered.

"Tia Ran Ex’Thania–Maria’s daughter and my future fiancée, you can say. The other voice was of Robin, I even heard her little bird’s chirping in that screaming." Having never met either officially, Shamisha was still at a loss. Her confusion still would not last long, and neither would it matter, for at the very same time, a beast had awakened right under them–after all, the hell’s ocean was no less of a threat than the corrupted lands throughout the world.

A deep slumbering monster has set its gaze upon the flying larks. It was only a matter of time before, out comes the eagle, to snatch the much smaller birds...
